Vash - you didn't see any Ariel Atoms recently? They threw the first AtomFest in OK a couple months ago, there was dozens and dozens of them down there for a couple days. It was actually a pretty big deal, they shut down the plant in the UK so that all of the engineers could fly over for the meet too.

Wellington is definitely filling back up again now that the holidays are over for most people.

Aston Martin DB7 Volante

996 Porsche 911 GT3 Club Sport - With a very strange choice in wheel colour

964 RUF 911 Turbo

W113 Mercedes Benz SL280 - Still on my "must own one before I die" list.

Toyota WiLL Vi - definitely not on the aforementioned list :D

Nissan Figaro in Lapis Grey - Who would have thought that Eric Clapton would have owned one of these :odd:.

Great spots there! Ironically, my Kiwi friend has exactly the same Pagoda roof 280SL here in Hong Kong.

Although now I see his hubs are a different colour

Oh, and a NISMO Z?

Thats pretty cool, I haven't seen one before. They're expensive I hear...

Yes, a Nissan Nismo 350Z.

Nope, no Ariel Atom sightings. I had no idea they were having a large Atom meet in Oklahoma. I live near Oklahoma City and the meet was in Tulsa, which is about an hour and a half from where I live. Had I known about AtomFest, I would most definitely have gone.

Bloody Hell!

When did they ever sell the Beretta in Europe? Thats absolutely CRAZY!

Better question: Why??

Yes, it's a very expensive body kit...that really does nothing except look absolutely bitchin'.

Savor it as I'm sure that's the only snow/Ferrari spot in this thread. It was very cool to see. The 328 left before the snow could accumulate.

Nah, I've got a F456 on I95 in heavy snow. ;)

And speaking of digging up old stuff:

Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet

Rather clean for an old punchbuggy.

Jeep Wrangler with Army graphics

I suppose it could just be aftermarket, but with all the Jeep SE's out there, I had to ask: is it some limited edition?

Jaguar X-Type Estate

Add diesel and front-drive only and you've got Peter Lyons spinning in his grave.

Jaguar Super V8

That's more like it. Environment be dammed! ;)

Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

There's a wagon version around that I'm keeping an eye out for. I think it's the only one in the county, judging by where and how rarely I see it. Got it once (and posted it here), but the pictures were rather poor.

Audi S5

Decidedly not rare. Already seen three in the past week. While this color works, red does it no favors. It also is one of the few cars that looks better in photos. The curves just don't jive with the hard lines. To confuddled. Separately, the elements work, but they're just not meant to be on the same car.

Ferrari 355 Berlinetta

Seen this guy around. First time I saw the Tennesse plates. First time he's driven in the snow (although technically most of it was gone by then). Can't beat a 355 for 90's beauty, though. Proving to be timeless so far.

Doug, Harry your Ferrari in the snow pics are great. The Devil will be ice skating before I see that here!

I saw this Reliant Scimitar parked in an, umm, interesting place. I don't quite know how it ended up on the median island but they seemed to be having trouble rescuing it.

Wow. Very cool!! 👍

I've been told the vehicle is special-order only. I've never seen an E63 wagon - though I did see an E55 once - but they are sold here. Supposedly. (for the record there's at least one or two U.S. guys on MBWorld.org with E63 wagons)

Plates are from DeKalb County, Tennessee. I've never heard of it, so I tossed it into Wiki... just 17,000 people in the entire rural central Tennessee county, and the seat has less than 4,000. Explain that one.

iirc from what i was told by a CL65 owner, anything above the 55 (the 63 and 65's) are all built to order.

thats not a RUF  ruf didnt have that wing on the 964 RCT and unless hes debadged it aswell also the front bumper isnt the same.

In that case he must have raided the RuF catalogue as it had RuF branded brake calipers and RuF embroidered seats.

It's a conversion if anything. One that wasn't exactly converted all the way through, though.

Ruf supply bits for Porsches, as well as building their own cars. So it's a 964 with a 993 wing and Ruf seats and braking components.

There is a specific word amongst owners for a large collection of Atoms. It's possibly the geekiest, yet funniest, thing I've ever heard. Except for Professor Frink glavin mmnnmhey.

Yes the XJ is probably 6/10 rarity but why post the others?

Its not the post what cars you saw today thread is it?

on the other hand, There was a big rover something X28 XX I saw (X'S represent unknown characters). It had a spoiler, was pretty wide and long with a sedan type shape. I have no idea if this is rare or not but I've never seen one before. Looked in good knick.

Doug once said:

"If ever a civic is posted in this thread bad things will happen"

I'm sorry but nothing is bad compared to the actual posting of the civic in the first place.

 That's true, a Honda Civic ain't that special of a car to be put here, even if it was a Type R or anything. And the same with the Korean jewel, Huyndai.
I saw a Jaguar XJS V12 today. Or well I see it everyday as it's in my dad's garage waiting to be repaired.

Whilst we're on the subject of spots that may or may not belong in this thread:

VW Polo "Harlequinn" (sp) edition. Not necessarily good, but rare. Atrocious picture quality = new camera phone.

Polo Harlequin!!!! Definitely belongs in this thread - its characterization as 'good' is arguable but its rarity is not - very, very, very cool! I've seen one Golf Harlequin one time once and thought it was quite possibly the single strangest thing in human history. Fantastic photo!!

Can someone check the color this car is registered as?? That would be an interesting thing.

By the way a trivia bit about this car: they built them normally (I think they made 300 Golfs - I'm not sure about Polos) and then interchanged the panels following production. Truly.

PS - I return to Atlanta in three days, and I'm trying to increase my sightings by 40% this year. Exotics to come soon!
