Good grief! That's up there with the best spots of the thread, made even better by the mundane surroundings. Brilliant!!!

Thanks! All of the surrounding normal cars just paled in comparison, including the black Porsche Cayman next to it and a slightly modified Mercedes Benz S65 AMG just a few spots down from it. It was a definite surprise coming out of the softball game to see such an amazing vehicle in such a normal situation.

Well, that confirms a small discussion months ago about 1 heading towards the south.

I wonder if that guy also owns the yellow Diablo SV that always makes the yearly appearance at one of our events.

From what I have read on FChat, the man owns a yellow Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 (which I have seen and posted pictures of), a Ferrari 430 Spider, a blue Bentley Continental GT (also seen, no pictures), a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder (possibly seen and before Doug saw one ), silver Mercedes McLaren SLR (potentially been sold at this point and sighted a year or two ago, no pictures), and a silver Mercedes McLaren SLR 722. There may be others, as the above are the only ones mentioned on FChat.

And that reminds me of a story I have from a local dealership. I was going to lunch one day anywhere from one to two months ago and drove through an area I had not been by in a good while. While taking this route, I see a new dealership that I had not known to exist and I see this pretty little thing in the showroom.

Well since I had never seen a Ferrari 360 Modena before this, I just had to sidetrack from going to lunch. First thing, I asked one of the employees if it was alright if I looked at the car (turns out who I talked to is the general manager). After talking to the GM about the car and finding out that the 360 is there just to get people into the dealership, I mentioned I had seen a yellow Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 in the area and he almost instantly knew who the owner of it was, after I explained who was driving it. (Apparently, there is another yellow Murcielago running around the area too, as the GM was trying talk it's owner into displaying it in the showroom.) The GM mentioned some of the other cars the couple owns--all of which I knew about, other than one--and that was definitely surprising. He said they also own a McLaren F1. Now I find that one a little hard to believe and will only believe it when I see it, which only gives me more reason to be on the lookout for cars nows.

Now, back to my story about the trip to the dealership. I stood around and looked at the car for a good while, and after a bit, I asked the GM if it was alright if I could sit in the 360. He graciously allowed me to do so and I have to say, the 360 Modena fits nicely and would look wonderful in my garage . . . only problem is, I am a little lacking in the monetary department. Anyone willing to donate to the "Help Brett Buy a Ferrari 360 Modena Fund"? I would think all donations are tax deductible; also, I can tell you that the fund is for a great and wonderful cause.

And if you did not notice, there is also a very nice FD RX-7 in the second picture. I can't say I gave it much attention, too mesmerized by the 360, but it is probably one of the nicest FDs around.

+1

Absolutely incredible - glad you got to see that SLR 722, Vash, and yes indeed it's owned by that guy. So cool to see that with Oklahoma tags on it - Hong Kong and Atlanta haven't got anything on Norman!

Another R35 GTR - This one is promoting a beginners driving school!

Porsche 993 (Perhaps GT2) - I am so unlucky at photographing GT2 lookalike 993's they always seem to be driving in the opposite direction to where my camera is pointing.

Someone mentioned the number of taxis here in Hong Kong. Yes, there are a few...

The theme for the day seemed to be yellow Porsches - I photographed about six!

I saw a new M3 today at the traffic lights. White with what was pROBABLY unpainted carbon fibre roof. It turned off into a residential area but it's a complete rat-run of houses.

Not LEVIN TRUENO. It's SPRINTER TRUENO (Which that isn't) and COROLLA LEVIN (Which that is.)

They're basically just different noses and content levels, (The Sprinter is more luxurious) but they're still separate models.

That sounds unlikely, but if it is that'd be cool :dopey: Also if it is you would all have to dismiss my claim I seen one as it would be highly unlikely and I can't prove it with pics. It's a light blue by the way.

Definitely not the only one in the country. I don't take pictures of them cause they're actually not that uncommon. There is three around my area.

i just HAVE to add this.

apparently, some people can't drive. I was running a client to work thismorning, and, on approaching an assistant's house for pickup, I saw a "lol" inducing sight.

someone had managed to get a 4wd Jeep Liberty firmly wedged into a drainage ditch dull of deep snow, and caused damage to the driver's side fender. there was even sand spread under the rear wheels for traction, but that Jeep weren't goin nowhere, man...

Awesome man, you're quite right, they're not out yet. I don't even believe that trim has been shown to the public yet- only the Sportwagon concept has. That's a spy shot that is, people pay money for them sometimes I think.

I also thought that this was rather fitting given the unveiling at the Melbourne show of what is likely to be the next Monaro.
