Herrod is an aftermarket independent tuner for Fords. So it's not a model per se. It's still a cool spot though as the GT-P is rare enough. 👍
It's interesting though. The amount I've seen - say, more than six - indicates people 'round here can drive these off the lot. I can't see six people in the little old 'naki getting cars independantly tuned by Herrod. Is it a tickable option on the sheet or something? You can see the car in my pictures is still wearing its standard Energy City Ford plate surrounds.

You could be right. Maybe the dealer organises the fitting of it for you. There are a few around in Wellington too. Except here it is more popular for XR8s rather than FPVs.

I'll ask the dealer next time I am in there. I am considering trading my 'dore for a new XR6 when they are released.

An aftermarket model is normally quite rare, that'd be the same as seeing as Walkinshaw E-Series GTS, which I haven't seen yet. Are Herrod the same guys that made the supercharged Ford Ute on the cover of a mag not long ago?
MOTOR Magazine? Yeah, there was a Herrod ute on that cover of that one recently. Up against the Walky Maloo.

Unless it's an XR6 Turbo, I'm a bit worried.

No don't do that! New generation models are always surrounded by bugs that need ironing out. Wait a year or 2. As for the dealer part, with Walkinshaw you buy the car and take it straight to them where they do their thing I think. Not certain if the HSV dealer will help you or not.

Chris: I Wouldn't dream of getting anything else. I don't want people thinking I am a taxi driver now

ND4HS: It is still running the same engine so I can't see there being too many bugs to iron out. It is only one of a few options I am considering so I'll see how it drives first.

Not always the engine with bugs. VE had same engines and look what happened. Just wait and see otherwise you may find yourself putting up with recalls.

HT ended production mid 70, the car in your pic has HT taillights, colour and striping.

While I went out with my parents for dinner......

I thought it was kinda neat that it part of it was "personalized" even though it was a normal tag. I am sure the people at the Tag Office would not mind doing something like that every now and then.

Dang, I was hoping I was the first time. :dopey: Oh well . . .

It's still an awesome spot, right up there with the MC12's and Veyrons of mr Doug

EDIT: terrible spots rue, not impressed today

@ Rue: You saw ALL those cars in one afternoon? That black R8 is gorgeous, btw.

Isn't it just! None of my friends here are particularly enthusiastic about cars, but everytime we're out and one of these drives by, the topic of conversation is suddenly forgotten!

I know what you mean. I had a friend of mine call me up one day to tell me she just saw an R8 to see if I had seen one yet. She doesn't care at all about cars and still thought it was amazignly sexy.

Yesterday afternoon...

Pardon my asking if you've already answered this, Rue, but how do you get those aerial shots again? Do you just take pictures during rush hour from your office window in HK or something?
