Pardon my asking if you've already answered this, Rue, but how do you get those aerial shots again? Do you just take pictures during rush hour from your office window in HK or something?

Sure, off flyovers and raised walkways and the top decks of buses. Unfortunately I never get to take photos at rush hour because I' m always working at these times. But it's Sunday and it's sunny so I'm going out now to get some more.

Great shots! 👍

Thanks! Appreciated!

How am I supposed to prove it's not a Ferrari?

It's a kit car. Based on a 240Z I would think.

Alpine A110.

Doesn't look like an Alpine A110 to me.

Was it fibreglass? the front clip looks kind of like fibreglass rather than steel.

I'm not trying to argue, you asked what it was and I guessed it was a kit or a Marcos of some sort. I don't really need to prove anything, although I am looking.

no argue ment i just wanted to see what it oeiginally was and who sold the body kit for it.

If I had to guess, it looks like that red car could be on a VW Beetle chassis, but there's no way of knowing without looking at the underside/suspension/engine. The front end does sort of resemble a Ferrari Dino, but the rear end doesn't.

Seeing as that unkown rare car has no badges it probably is some unkown kit car, maybe even home made. Considering that would make it rare (only 1 in existence) that explains the number plate.

Stunning. Good spot. I've never seen one in yellow - very cool, and tastefully updated with modern rims and rubber.

Hmm.

This:
R1_2.jpg

... I think this is a homebuild. It's very pretty and 60s, but it looks too new. It could be Porsche or VW based, it looks RR.

If I had to pin it on a coachbuilder, I'd say it's a Frua... but it's probably not. The aftermarket doormirrors, curious doorhandles and suspension design to house that monster rubber suggests someone has spent a lot of time on this in their garage. Very nice.

Sorry no pics, but I wanna know if the new 2008 Bullitt Mustang is out yet? I was following one down the highway at around 2am this morning. At first I thought it was just a run of the mill V6 mustang behind me because of the lack of lights in the grill but then it passed me with a growl, first thing I noticed was that it had no spoiler and the faux gas cap on the back had the words "Bullitt" on it. I pretty much creamed my pants at that point and sped up to get another look at it. Pretty sweet car I might add, it has a distinctive growl that differentiates itself from the run of the mill GT's. Once again I'm sorry about the lack of pictures.

That looks a GTM Rossa/Libra cross to me...

There is a car club near my school which has quite a lot of cars
No pictures (since I don't even have a mobile phone :( ) but I'll list what I can remember seeing going in/coming out of there (I'll try to get a friend to get some photos and send them to me in a week or two since I'm currently doing work experience)
Green Lamborghini Murcielago
Grey Ferrari F432
Grey Audi R8
Blue Ford Mustang GT (Pretty rare if you live in London)
Blue Ford GT with white stripes
Orange Lamborghini Gallardo

That's all I can remember right now.
As I said, I'll try to get some pictures soon!

Actually, yeah - the Coupe rear panel and front end. But not as pretty.

But prettier than both Libra and Rossa. (And I built a Libra. :) )

Rue,

How many people per whatever number are millionaires in Hong Kong? I remember reading a post about it but can't find it. Also, if you've got any links to your spots or just best spots it'd appreciate it greatly if you supplied a linky.

Thanks.

Thanks! No idea - I accidentally got lost in the garage and stumbled upon that! Never seen one in true silver before.

Only you could stumble across a Ferrari on it's own in an empty parking lot!
