To this date, that is is most expensive car ive ever seen

Just curious, but are you from California, or was that just the car from there?

Citroen 2CV from yesterday at the Auto Europe place on Woodward. Despite being at a dealership the car was driven there since I saw him pull in while stopped at the light.

Wednesday I caught a '56 Chevy. I could see it had a TON of miles on it: it was badly rusted, and desperately needed some love, but at least it wasn't in the junkyard.

and that feels good.

My Uncle owns a '57 Chev wagon. In perfect appearance as he restored it himself from a scrap heap. One of only 5 in Australia. Maybe I should take a pic of it and show you guys. I got taken to my formal in it. Seen some nice cars that day- why didn't I have a camera *palms fore-head*

Yeah, Im actually from the wine country

There are a ton of awesome cars around here, i just dont have time to take pictures of them. All of the pictures I put in this thread are me going to or come from work or school.

Im only 45 minutes from Infineon raceway, so I get a fair share or high end cars, but, I can always snap a pictures of them. I dont want to post in this thread saying "hey look, I saw:
360 modena
71 charger
GT500 07'
Viper SRT-10"

I would rather post pictures instead

+1

Absolutely incredible - glad you got to see that SLR 722, Vash, and yes indeed it's owned by that guy. So cool to see that with Oklahoma tags on it - Hong Kong and Atlanta haven't got anything on Norman!

Don't know if you noticed the number on the tag or not, but it says 722 XTV on a normal Oklahoma tag. I did not notice it the first time I looked at the boot part of the car. When I did see it, I grinned a little and said, "That is a nice plate for the car".

I also wanted to know if there had been any other 722 spottings in the thread; I cannot really remember if there had been or not. I know there has been some normal SLR spottings.

That's funny - I hadn't noticed. He probably asked the clerk for some special treatment. Given what he paid to register they probably obliged. Depending on the person they're willing to do that from time to time.

I can't say, but I'd be surprised if we had any other 722s, and if we did, it's probably a very small number.

Yeah someone posted one the day after I posted the ferrari parade, it was parked in the visitors car park where I saw the black normal SLR.

I thought it was kinda neat that it part of it was "personalized" even though it was a normal tag. I am sure the people at the Tag Office would not mind doing something like that every now and then.

Dang, I was hoping I was the first time. :dopey: Oh well . . .

Ah, ok then. :) I was just amazed a Californian could see a Bentley & that would become the most expensive car he has seen despite California's love for red heads.

To carry on the Australian Muscle theme I started with the Monaro GTS 350 yesterday, here is its arch rival:

Ford Falcon XB GT 351

I was driving so I couldn't get a front shot of it, but this is what they look like:

I found a new place for spotting cars yesterday and amongst a few others I saw an absolutely immaculate yellow '72 BMW 3.0 CSL (E9), 1 of 500 RHD models built. Although it was sans Batmobile kit, it was still quite a sight. I also saw an, also immaculate, red 911 Turbo flatnose which, if original and I'm sure it was, was 1 of 236 built and probably much fewer in RHD trim.

Nice spots Rue, no pics though?

Celica GT-Four

AMV8 Vantage (I think only the 1st of 2nd i've seen :))

SL55 pretending to be an SL65 (Saw the rims and thought SL65! Ralised afterwards it wasnt)

Nice one mate, I see an orange one of a similar model from time to time, but you actually got a picture of it- cool.

PS- Do you guys ever get pulled over for taking photos and driving at the same time? :sly:

Not yet, hopefully not ever, i know that we shouldnt do it, i try to take all my pics when im at least parked at traffic lights though, the 2nd amv8 shot (blurry) was as i was moving off, still didnt like doing it even at low speeds. :indiff:

Rue
I've always got pics! Have to wait until I finish work though. No pic of the white R32 in the background of the Celica shot?

Nah, i saw it only after it had turned the corner and was almost parallel to me blocked by another car, pretty sure it wasnt a GT-R though, no spoiler either, so not particularly special, although not common around here.

Shame. I can't think of many cars that I like more than white, despoilered R32 GT-R's.

An OK day today I suppose. Not much to rave about. But what better way to fill in an hour on a rainy Saturday afternoon than to cruise around and look for interesting cars to photograph? :)

A Porsche Boxster that was nearly inaccessible in a hotel compound. Anyone would think they didn't wany people spying on the vehicles in there!

An Audi S6. I've seen this car around a few times now and finally managed to get a shot of it.

An FPV GT-P Herrod Limited Edition. Not sure how rare these are (I seen a few actually) but thought I'd shoot this one and put some pics up for y'all.

And this big-ass tractor. Doesn't really count as it's at a dealer. Still big-ass though.

Herrod is an aftermarket independent tuner for Fords. So it's not a model per se. It's still a cool spot though as the GT-P is rare enough. 👍

An aftermarket model is normally quite rare, that'd be the same as seeing as Walkinshaw E-Series GTS, which I haven't seen yet. Are Herrod the same guys that made the supercharged Ford Ute on the cover of a mag not long ago?
