All this talk of F50's reminds me of this one I saw the other day...

I bet everyone is trading in their GT's for Speeds. Pretty soon they'll be everywhere too.

I will continue to photograph. I can't imagine the majority of buyers believe they're worth it. I'd be surprised if it proliferates.

Damn you Rue for teasing me with the F50 shot - the picture hadn't loaded and I thought we'd be looking at a road sighting :)

No such luck! I have seen three in the wild here though, so may not be too long before I get one for you. Enjoyed the Boxer shots by the way!

Nice weather = Nice Cars!

Bentley Flying Spur, don't see to many of these.

Dodge Challenger SRT-8...finally!

Camaro SS, old one. Pretty cool colour but there was mud on it.

BMW M3, once again these are rare in my area and this one was in my favourite colour!

Pontiac G8, I see these things all the time but never think to take a picture of one. I forget the rest of the US doesn't have these things all over the place.

Some sort of 911, I thought it might be a special tuner edition. Had a carbon fibre spoiler on it and some black rims.

SPOT OF THE DAY
First off I wasn't even aware Citroën's were ever sold in America but apparently this guy got a hold of a SM somewhere. Goofy looking car for sure but I guess it was 1971 Europe's Car of the Year.

It looks like a truck and was huge compared to my MINI, I hate the thing to be quite honest.

They sold it here for a couple of years (that is a U.S. export model, so it wasn't grey market), but a stupid law against height adjustable suspension banned it in 1974 after a pretty successful start.

1.7 inches shorter than a CR-V... 9.5 inches higher than an '01 A4 2.8Q

Not that there's a CR-V in the shot, just for reference. I'd love to get the height of that 96-02 4Runner but it's a 2WD and it's hard to find heights for 2WDs.

It's fricking huge. Look at it. Like, Jesus Christ. If people didn't get out of my way on the highway I'd request my money back.

That pic looks like a photoshop, just because of how big that sucker is! But hey, if you spend that much money on a car like that, it better be roomy.

Joey, that Porsche is a 996 GT2 which are becoming very rare. The fact that it's in Speed Yellow makes it just a little bit rarer, even more.

Cool thanks for the info on that 👍! My girlfriend first pointed it out and I thought it looked different so I swung back around so she could get a photo of it.

It's shorter than a CR-V? The LWB?

The one I posted a couple weeks back looked like a barge. Not like the saying "big as a barge" but actaully as big as the barges you see on the Hudson river...

PS Maybachs are popping up like Bentleys lately. Two today! It's gotta be that massive depreciation.

Is it just me, or does the challenger look really tall and narrow?

It's just you. It doesn't look tall and narrow, it is tall and narrow.

Isn't that the Tungsten edition? And regarding the late-70's/early-80's Ferrari's, if it's not a 250, then those are the cars that first come to mind when someone says "Ferrari". That semi-wedge bodystyle was prevalent for so long, it's burned in my mind as the definitive Ferrari shape.

I have to post more often here, if only to save myself the trouble of uploading so many photos at once. Or I could just move to FiOS already. :indiff:

Acura NSX

Long distance shot, but it was the only one I could get. It seems that after they stopped making the NSX, people stopped driving it. Why? Is there this strange misconception that it wasn't a good car?

Aston Martin DB9 Volante

Ian Callum can stand by the Xerox machine for the rest of his career for all I care. All his cars look good.

Bentley Brooklands

I think it will be a while before I see the new one, but these seem to be popular among the few Bentley owners in this area.

DMC DeLorean

Is there any way of telling whether this is a fake or not? I can try to get a better photo if anyone cares, but I'm betting it's real enough. Who'd bother to get a clone DMC fixed?

Ford Mustang GT500

Still not as fast as it should be. I'm betting that the Taurus GT will be faster than a Shelby GT. If not quite in a straight line, then definitely around a track.

Infiniti M30 convertible

Kind of rare, kind of beat up, but really here for the "Three Kings" reference. ;)

Mercedes-Benz CLK55 AMG

Non-puffed.

Pontiac GTO 1968

Looks like it even has the original tires. Either a really good restoration, or a very conscientious owner.

Mini Clubman

First Clubman I've seen, and it was soon after the first Traveller (original Mini) I'd seen. It looks clunky in person, and not at all like it should be named "Mini" anything.

Porsche 356C

I'm quite sure it's a replica. Who would drive a real 356 as a train-station commuter car? But at least it would make the morning drive that much more interesting.

Toyota Land Cruiser

Not sure why I only have this lousy photo of it, but you can just make out the "army transport" type of canvas cover over the back. I have a bit of a soft spot for old Land Cruisers...back when they worked as advertised and weren't luxury vehicles.

Volkswagen Golf R32 v.5

I've seen a few of these already -- all blue, for some reason -- but this is the first time I've been able to photograph one. A good car, but somehow not quite as good as the v.4 R32.

Volkswagen Jetta VR6 Wagon/Estate

Someone (not here) once told me that this car didn't exist. Well, there it is. Enjoy...wherever you are.

Volvo C30 T5

Why won't people buy this? It's a good car! They buy large Volvo's and small VW's, but not large VW's nor small Volvo's. Lots of overlap between those demographics, but they never quite cross completely.

Volvo P1800

Speaking of hatchback Volvo's.... Not showing up in either photo I took is the lower half in the same color as the C30 above

I think by 'shorter' he means height-wise. It tripped me up for a second, too.

@Harrytuttle, it appears that Delorean is on the opposite side of the fence, so I doubt it's getting repairs done.

3-Series with M badges, due to the absence of side skirts and taller rear spoiler. It also appears to be a convertible with matching hardtop.

Haha well I couldn't tell and uh....I'm not from around there and uh...:irked:

It looked real enough to me, maybe it just needed an oil change!

Personally, I think it's a Turbo with GT2 accessories. Why? Because it doesn't have the the front grille of an actual GT2...

porsche-996-gt2.jpg

Still, cool spot Joey! Any Porsche Turbo is good and that GT2 kit makes it look even better.

Porsches are a car spotters nightmare. As some of you know, I've been had on a couple of occassions by Porsche owners making their cars something their not. Ironically this one I saw a couple of weeks ago has the GT2 bumper (kind of anyway), but lacks the rear wing and wide, scooped arches.

por_996_00b.jpg

This one has the GT3 bodykit but lacks the grille of the original...

por_997_00a.jpg

This one has the GT3 grille, but is a cabriolet...

por_997cabriolet_002b.jpg

Heck, they're even trying to make Boxsters look like hot 911's, like this one with a full GT2 bumper...

por_boxster_002.jpg

This, however is all original...
