Holden - What the...? Did you get to know what's the engine on that AX? The moment it gets the power down, it flies. And it almost doesn't look like a GTi either, awesome sleeper car.

no idea but it was supercharged im guessing around 250-300bhp and it was on full slicks and had no interior.

Today...

And with that, my second camera is retired after 10,837 photos, in favor of a Canon SD1100 IS. Shout out to the newly-retired camera - you've had a great run! :D

How do you know how many pictures your camera takes?

The filename of every picture - often DSC-blahblah. That number is how many pictures your camera has taken. If your comuter changes the filenames upon importing them, poke around on your camera and you'll find the filename eventually.

Tonight, first shots with the new camera...:

Note the slightly lesser Audi in the background... also note that the R8 has been debadged - no four rings on the front!!

Is that with the new camera? The colours are noticeably more vivid compared to before.

I agree - and though you wouldn't know it by looking at it, the shot of the V8 Vantage was taken in such low light I wouldn't have even attempted it with the old camera. I'm very proud of the new guy!

BTW, here's a better picture of the de-badged front of the R8:

The four rings are supposed to be on the hood... I think it looks incomplete without them!

I think the R8 looks better debadged without the four rings on the front. I have always thought that the rings looked out of place and somewhat awkward where they are placed.

Awesome new camera Doug! As others have said the colours are alot more vivid 👍

Wish I had a camera like that....

Doug, does your Canon have the 'Night Snapshot' mode like mine? It works great in lowlight with the flash off, even if you're not resting the camera on a surface. In much darker conditions with the flash on, the image quality is also excellent (although you do still get the glare from the license plates, not that that is a concern with the cars you take).

At least the de-badger could've bothered to replace the hole with a proper grille. Now it just looks as though somebody stole it - it's like de-badging without filling the holes for the screws.

And at last, a contribution on my end - this immaculate Rolls Royce convertible, complete with a golden Madame Ecstasy. Any idea which one? I can't remember what the badge read.. Corniche. Thanks Cracker!

im all for debadging.

slightly unrelated, because you cant make easily make an r8 look like its not a sports car, but i would love to have an rs4, get a body kit that is popular on A4's(assuming there are some,) and then badge it as such.

+1
Nice shot Doug, that new camera is really brining your shot to life! Now you can take pictures of cars better than ever! :D The R8 just looks stylish without that big badge on the front......

Nothing really worth posting from me for over the last few days, been stuck at home doing work... here's one spot anyway, it may be extremely lame, but I hope it'll please someone out there.

Nice new camera Doug, you got the 1100 yes?

===

So I showed up at the dig site this morning, which happens to be on our campus golf course (yes Oakland has two golf courses on it). It's also quite expensive to play and you have to be a former alumni or current student to play it. So I was getting out of my car and I heard the thunderous roar of this baby!

Got another picture as I was leaving too!

I'm not sure - I'm yet to read the manual. How do you access it?

Indeed I did...

Thanks for all the photo compliments guys! I'm loving the camera. I took this one today:

An Avanti... not the rarest car, but I'm having so much fun with the camera I couldn't help myself.

BTW Joey there was never an 8-series M... that's an owner added badge and shouldn't be there. Good spot on the V8 Vantage!

Today.

6 Series cabrio. If I had a licence and money,I would like to have one.

This is the first time that I see a Cayman with a wing.

Is this a BMW M3?There was no badge on the car,but it has 2 double exhausts.

BMW with Alpina wheels.

Mini Clubman.

Mercedes SL.

I think it is an M5, but it also may be a 540i with the sport package.

Sport package has one pipe in back and the front grille has an extra cross-piece. He's seeing a legit M5.

You gotta be careful with the lower light settings. They're helpful, but can really burn up some colours. For example, Doug's AMV8 shot has really too strong oranges on the cones.

I've got a pretty cool spot to post later on... Gotta get some food in me then I can pull them off the camera.

As said, the first one is an M5.

And what the hell happened to that E46's mirror?

Serge, did you do that?...

Saw this lined up at a traffic light, couldn't mistake that front lip. 7AM the car was gobbling in the cool morning air, 'cause it certainly sounded like it!
