Yes, I know we're meant to provide photos, but I can't (no camera of any sort).

About a month ago I saw a white TVR Griffith (dunno what version, might've been a 4.0). Damn it sounded amazing

On my way home from university on Friday I saw a silver 996 Turbo. Great looking car, but a bit tame compared to the 997 :sly:

A pair of kind of special cars. First is a pretty nice Elan +2.

Here's a pretty sweet find, someone imported a Peugeot 205 GTI. Never thought I'd see something like this here.

Don't know the ID on this, but the colour caught my eye more than anything...

Too dark again?

Great night! Oh and another celeb shot with my car...

The 124 headlight wipers are a little deceiving because the pivot point isn't quite at the bottom arm, allowing the wipers to get a good amount of the headlight wiped off. However the wipers only really make sense on euro lights because they are able to wipe the whole assembly and the clearance is much closer. I unhooked mine long ago since they are rather pointless and get stuck often.

EDIT: About 60-70% of the 500Es assembly process was undertaken by Porsche at Zuff, Parking my friends mint 95 E320 next to a 94 E500 really showed me the difference, especially when you look at the quality of the paint job and the panel gaps, huge difference. sorry for the OT

Just look at it from the standpoint of it being a modern concept of the 53.
Exactly what I was thinking. I think it looks great, never seen one of those before.
It may be crappy on just about everything (I really don't know), but I like the looks.

exige - The shot itself is pretty good, not too dark at all. It may appear that way because of the huge shaded are on the left/center of the image (store). But the colours came out quite well and it's a great poster.

Stop discussing the THING...

Today:

DB7 Vantage Volante...

If I call it a Jaguar we can get daan to come in here and tell me how I'm not funny.

I'd drive it. I'd buy it. I'd protect it to the end of the Earth. I like it. A lot.
Don't dis it. 👎:irked:

Now that is where I agree with land sea air, fail.

and speak proper English will you.

Back on topic, er, I saw my car today when I went to check my oil. I have pictures, but you've already seen it :D

Strange rear lights on the 348, Doug?

Looks like regular 348 tails with the louvers removed. IMO the 348 was the last good looking Fiat out there... shame it was utter garbage.

Sorry, I missed this comment earlier... that is a 348 Series Speciale - one of only 100 built - which accounts for the lights. There's some discusson on FerrariChat right now whether it's a Series Speciale or an impostor but either way it accounts for the lights.

I was always under the impression that the 348 was an underated car. I agree that it is quite a nice looking machine. Especially the late-model coupe GTB.

Most people now agree that period magazine reviews were far too nice to the 348, which was, at the time, beginning a new stylistic trend for Ferrari (one which continues today). In hindsight most people agree it was a difficult vehicle to drive at very low or very high speeds. However period critics tended to give it a pass because, as mentioned, it represented a step forward for Ferrari in terms of styling, and was released in an era when Ferrari could do no wrong... Enzo died right before it came out, and the F40 was a stablemate... hard to fault a car like that!

When the car is reviewed today, critics tend to be far more harsh. This is reflected in the car's value, which tends to be a bit lower than the 328, its predecessor. The 348 has also had some major reliability issues common to a lot of the cars and requires the engine to come out for relatively minor services, which has not helped its value.

Its gorgeous successor corrected nearly all of these problems though has proven even less reliable.

I don't think it was a 'garbage' car at all. Contemporary road tests said it was tricky at the limit. Not something that would ever bother most owners, i should think.

Like all Ferraris, they look 100% more impressive in the flesh than they ever do in photos. I don't know why that is. Lambo's etc, look the same in photos as they do IRL. But Ferraris always look much lower and wider when you see them on the road. I've got no idea why that might be? :odd:

Possibly due to the way Ferrari has presented its cars over the past decade. Dark background with a Rosso Corsa Ferrari in the middle.

Official pictures aside, even pictures taken for this thread, in a variety of locations, never do the cars justice IMO.
