What are the main photoshop tools you use?

I use the simplified Adobe Lightroom 2.0 for now, and it varies from picture to picture. Some photos I really nail in person, but some need some help in post-production. It ranges from tonal curves, white balances, colours, sharpness, noise etc etc. It really depends on the original. Check the photography section, I go into more detail about my photography there.

I think it would be better if you posted stock shots as it takes away the personal effect to the photo, anyone can photoshop something and make it a good photo. Obviously you can't polish teh turd though.

True, but in my defense, I might have to start using PS on my photos. :dunce:

99.9% of professional automotive photography is Photoshopped to some extent. I'll post what looks nice.

Ok well I might start an automotive photo gallery in the ol' photography section and see if someone who is good on photoshop can make my photos better as a challenge. :)

It wasn't even a tight car park either, it was at the side of a delivery warehouse so you had all the room the delivery trucks had to manouvere in!

Yeah, but I was pulling in to Blockbuster and it was leaving.

Ah. Okay. Got a thing against that IS-F, is all.

But anyway.

Chevrolet Corvette ~1957

Not too sure what year, nor where the nearest dealer is. I know the area, so it has to be at least 15 miles away. Nice test drive.

Land Rover Defender

First of the city shots. A car both totally out of place, yet somehow blending in.

Maserati Quattroporte

Also in the city, waiting to be parked in the garage, which held....

Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG

This cute little thing. With the early version wheels, too. Not the best shot I could have gotten, but I felt self-conscious with the garage jockeys around.

Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG

Staying with the Mercedes theme for a bit. Not too many CL's of any kind on the road, and the new model seems to have all but disappeared. I must need to get out more.

Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG

A no-look over-the-shoulder it-almost-passed-me shot. Not bad, all things considered.

Rat Rod

Not sure what car/truck this rat rod was made from, but it sure looked cool. I wouldn't have gone for the rusted look, but I suppose that's how he painted it....

Porsche 911 GT2 (997)

My find of the week, rarer than the Carrera GT I see almost every day now. Picking up Chinese food, no less. I tried to get a front shot, but the owner sped off. Camera shy, I suppose.

Im sure this is pretty common in the US now but its my first time seeing it on the road instead of on a transport truck or dealer lot

Nice spot on the 997 GT2. That car looks intense.

WOW... G37 blends RIGHT in BTW. I love that car!

Competitors... aka the easiest decision in human history

:D

Easiest decision? A butt ugly, glorified Fiat or the brand you've loved and dreamed of since you were 8 is supposed to be a decision?

What if it was a F40? I think I've read that's the only Ferrari you have a soft spot for? :P

Only Fiat he has a soft spot for, get it right. :P

1937-38 Chevrolet truck (:

I would have loved to see the front, tos ee how he solved the grlle, because I think it would be pretty hard to make a highboy out of a full-fendered car that's so bulbous.

That's not "how he painted it", that's original paint, patina indeed. cool spot.

What a great day for obscure-yet-non-valuable cars from the 1980s. I saw a Starion, a Reatta (driven by an idiot who almost t-boned me) and what looked to be an AMC Eagle.

I have something to add to the thread. Look at the addition to my garage.

Sorry for the poor quality, I just snapped two quick photos to add to the Planet.
