Saw this on the way home, I have no idea what it is though.

IMG_1203.jpg

So I've done some searching around the internet and this appears to be a Saab Sonnet, something I've certainly never seen.

I want one. I used to have a Hotwheels model when I was little, and the first and only one I saw in real life reminded me of a Datsun Z-car, except much more unique and therefore cooler.

What is with you and four doors Cano. If it's in good shape as a four door, why not keep it as a four door, lol.

Check out that Cadillac (I think) behind the R8. Looks awesome.

EDIT: By the way, that 1963 Plymouth is a Fury

hahaha ok, ok, I know 4 door cars can be cool but I dont know, if I was on the lookout for a parts car for a 64 Fury or a 55 Ford and saw those, I wouldnt even think about it and dismantle them; if I was on the lookout for a car, I'd see 'em as cool four doors (:

Specially becuse sometimes 4-door cars loose their form, and the two door versions look great, sooooo....

It was a Matchbox :dopey:

Hah! I beat you to it by a week. :D Saw it at a dealer though, but it was parked outside and I have the privilege of hearing the sound of that car.... But no pictures unfortunately. :guilty:

Then there was this, I have no idea what it is and I assumed it was a kit car until I saw it had an M plate on it meaning it belongs to a manufacture of some sort. I don't really know, any help would be appreciated. It looks very crude.

It has a name and an AutoBlog entry. Apparently it's called the Heldo from Advanced Automotives.

Autoblog
We've seen everything from Challengers and Camaros to Vespas and Vipers today, but there was only one Heldo. Advanced Automotives' Heldo is a steel tube space frame concept with composite bodywork and a 350-horsepower 32V Cadillac Northstar engine. According to the Advance Automotive website, the rear engine Heldo can reach 60 mph in a mere 4.1 seconds, take 12.2 seconds to hit a quarter mile, and pull north of 1g on the skid pad. We have no way of verifying those lofty performance statistics, but we can tell you that it looks very cool in silver. Some of our favorite features are the gull-wingish doors, crazy thin LED tail lights, and the exposed carbon fiber hood, but the crazy aqua duct side pods may have to go. Will we ever see a production Heldo on public roads? No, but we wouldn't mind if we did.

Hooooooooly smokes that blue Lamborghini with the wheels is baaaaallin'. Such a creative, youthful, hipster approach to a car (hmm maybe not creative, but certainly unique). I'm impressed.

Some of you were keen for me to get the old camera out again, so after work today (yes, it IS a Sunday) I managed to get down to the bridge for a couple of hours. I was having some bad luck with photos so apologies for some rather dodgy shots. There are a couple of cars that I wouldn't usually put in (M3, 997T, etc.) but I just liked the way they came out. Why was every Ferrari but one or two travelling in the other direction?!? Will add tags at some point... too tired right now...

So, all of these (barring the few night shots and the 944, E55 and GT-T from the bar) were taken today. It was really bright and I had some shadow problems but hey-ho...

A remarkable comeback Rue!
77 shots, man..... If 1 shot of a car would worth 1000HK$, you would be a millionaire! :D Love the blue Audi TT shot and the CLK...... 👍

****!!!!!!! gigantic and varied and awesome!!! I'm not sure wich one I liked most, there are some incredible cars there, but I think the most amazing thing is that that was in "a couple of hours" -_- freaking wealthy city, I wouldnt see that many decent cars in 5 years here, let alone the really exotic ones, wich will never show up here.

awesome spots as usual and good pictures, I'll download most of them at home!

Thanks for the comments. Funnily enough, that CLK DTM was shot by pure accident. I took a picture of a BMW 3-Series in front of it and didn't see the CLK until I was travelling home later! That car eludes me so much. Every time I see it my camera isn't handy or it's dark and going to fast to get a proper pic. I've seen it at least four times now and ironically the best photo I have of it (today), I didn't even know I was taking a photo of it! I also just noticed that the BMW 2002 has a UK number plate. I wonder if they just imported it or if he got a personalised plate here to match a similar car back home?!

I noticed that too. Weird!! Thanks for the awesome photos Rue - especially the Ferraris. A 360CS and 430 Scuderia in one day... life is good. :D

You jog with your camera!?

 Yep! Camera and keys.

I was wondering when I will see your updates again, and wao, I'm totally blown away, the amount and range is just overwhelming. Too many great spots in there, don't what to say... just, it's great to have you back.

Great shots, Rue. 👍
Yay! Rue's back in the car spotting world. Oh and in case you haven't heard 2 of 3 Ferrari FXX Evoluziones have been delivered to Hong Kong.

Someone's going to have to slap Autoblog on the wrist for not doing their homework. Much more than 3 owners went with the Evoluzione program as evident by the paintjobs on their cars. There were 6 Evoluziones at Laguna Seca, alone last month.

I believe there were only 3 new FXX evos built all the other ones were just converted, so only 3 are taking delivery of new cars

Autoblog rarely does their homework so I'm not surprised. They don't even bothered to run stories on pre-production vehicles, much like Doug's Benz spots and my Opel Corsa OPC.

Damn! Nice post Rue, my thoughts....

1) Whats with the F430? i cant remember what the back of the scud looks like so is that one?
2) Jun Super Lemon!! XD
3) DTM!, great spot. :D
4) That black Evo is sexy
5) Woo, nice a 22B, i believe the first we've had in the thead no?
6) That grey STI is way OTT!
