I saw that on the road today!

I saw a old Chevette(I don't know if it was 2 door or 4 door) in my neighborhood but I did not have a chance to take a picture so the internet will supply that.

I saw the owner tinkering with it a few weeks ago.

Holy carp a Chevette made it's way into this thread?!?!? Although that is probably the cleanest Chevette I've seen in the past 10 years and I will admit they are rare since many of them have rusted away.

I think there is another one in the neighborhood but I don't see the chrome Chevrolet letters on the back, so it might be a different brand.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I saw two Pontiac Catalinas on the road and the other one was for sale. I guessing it was around the 60's model year. Here is a image off the internet as I could not take a shot of them.

bleagh, on pursuit of Exige's Lambo and Rue's 70+ pic comeback, I give you more mexican junk; I'll post the remaining pictures on my wife's Photobucket with no order at all so I can keep using mine; sorry if there are some reposts, I dont really remember wich one I have posted:

riced up Chevrolet Chevy/Opel Corsa everywhere else: at least it's pretty well done, the fenders have been custom-widened, you don't see that kind of stuff everyday here; this was taken when I had just bought the XTI and was practicing panning with a non-stabilized lens on the roof of my house:

1967 Mustang near my house, later painted mint green, later crashed beyond recognition; sadly, I could not get any piture of the smashed pile it became:
str003.jpg

1970? Falcon with false American Racing rims, but good-looking anyway:
rrs016.jpg

high-raked Tahoe, it seemed cool so I snapped it up, but it lacks serious off-road hardware:
rog053.jpg

1965 Mustang ragtop, pretty damn rare here as they were imported under a special order only:
uiok018.jpg

Willys cabin with a flatbed/stakebed that is just abandoned there, announding the owner's business; taken from a bus:
herreria.jpg

1968 Galaxie fastback for sale in parts; if you want something more modern you can have the T-Bird:
fargalaxy.jpg

Practicing panning shots with the S2 I got this Ka with the aftermarket whels and exhaust, lowered and all, and as I have a pretty soft spot for Kas, here it goes:
uiok067.jpg

1954 Ford photographed under miserable light conditions; it wore false Cragars and was pretty low and in good shape:

1966 Mustang with real Cragars and chrome fender strips
various019.jpg

weird VW-based buggy, wich was being worked on; it seemed pretty old:
hfg010-1.jpg

Clean 5.0 Mustang, what really got the picture were the wheels:
tiburon018.jpg

Some Rambler, I don't remember the model, its in pretty good shape, ripe for a V8 swap as every Rambler sold here, even Javelins, were i-6s:

Horribly converted ragtop bug; check out those mirrors:

more later (:

Cool! And what is the silver car in the background? Looks like a 430 or 360. You don't like the 575SA? It's a car that I really have a soft spot for.

The Superamerica is just plain wrong. I really think they came up with a clever roof before the clever idea of making a targa 575. It just doesn't work whatsoever. The bulges that they needed to make to have a functional windmill roof just totally killed the lines that made the 550/575 so elegant. You really have to do a proper walkaround to truly see this, the photos just don't show it. I'm now worried to see my first Ferrari California, it's got a similar feel to it.

And yea, whatever was behind it wasn't worth photographing. I think you might have the same feeling, even 430s and 360s are hardly worth it anymore. People have too much damn money.

At least you get to see them every so often. The last Ferrari I saw on the road was months back & was a 355 Spider. :(

This afternoon's 1 hour haul travelling between offices, I made a detour through a public car park (couldn't use flash due to security being alerted to my shennanigans) and the rest are taken off a bridge...

Here's to the upcoming 14,000th post too!!!

Wtf with that Evo’s trunk? Such a weird shape; the RX8 looks good in comparison, and that’s saying something…

Rue I think that Rolls Royce is a Rolls Royce Silver Dawn, I spotted one earlier this year, however mine was a 4 door one and yours is a 2 door. Maybe a convertible variant or something similar.

If it is a Silver Dawn then it is quite rare, only 785 of these cars were ever made.👍

Rue I think your 964 cabrio is just a Carrera perhaps with a wide body kit, either that or an after market cabrio since iirc there were only a handful made by Porsche, maybe even less :scared:

also Serge, it's either a Carrera or a Turbo, not both :)

These few I took are just phone pictures, so excuse the quality and "zoomed-out-ness"

Triumph Spitfire. I usually see MG's, not too much Triumphs.

This next one I have no idea what it is, but it had Ronal Turbos. Ronal Turbos = Win.

Anyone know what it is? Had no badges on the back. License plate said "OMG 16V" if that helps.

Hmmmm, I've done some research and I'm pretty sure it's a Silver Cloud II Drophead. If that is the case though it is noted that there were only 107 (convertibles and hearses) built in total. That must be wrong as there are many photos of them on a GIS.
Wiki - Silver Cloud II coachbuilder styles (convertibles, hearses, etc): 107
