Z06 Ron Fellow edition

Was there a C5 Z06 Ron Fellow edition? Yesterday I saw a black Z06 with red Grand Sport-style stripes on the fender and just figured it was custom.

Cool, I've never seen one before. I'm not sure how rare it is though, especially since it's a more rare (I'm guessing) 16v version.

They're not hyper-rare, but they're quite the find if you see one in decent driving condition. The really nice ones get bought up by VW fans quickly (especially the 16V models, the best of them all), the other ones are usually left to rust and be beaten to pieces by backroad hoonage.

I'm more of a Corrado > Scirocco kind of guy, but I love the late-model Sciroccos for their otherwise "raw" nature by comparison to its replacement. But, just like the Scirocco of today, its pretty much a GTI 16V underneath, wearing a fancy dress.

There weren't many special-edition C5 Corvettes other than the 50th Anniversary model and the LeMans Edition. It was likely a custom job or a dealership special, Chevrolet doesn't do special edition models too often with the Corvette... But that has changed a bit with the C6. The little-known secret is that foreign markets have received more special edition Corvettes than we have (the European Competition Edition comes to mind, there was a special Japan-only model too), but the Corvette 427 Edition is still the coolest and most-rare of this generation.

These few I took are just phone pictures, so excuse the quality and "zoomed-out-ness"

Triumph Spitfire. I usually see MG's, not too much Triumphs.

This next one I have no idea what it is, but it had Ronal Turbos. Ronal Turbos = Win.

Anyone know what it is? Had no badges on the back. License plate said "OMG 16V" if that helps.

Ronal turbos are indeed freaking cool; I was going to photoshoot a couple of Scirocos about a year ago for the mag, but the brothers that owned them sold them off-state and I haven’t known anything since; one was mint green and wore gold BBSs, and the other was black and wore, precisely, Ronal Turbos, both had Webers, they were pretty neat.

More spots from me, this time, I was checking out this huuuuge and very very complete 1958 Cadillac 4 door, wich just lacked wipers, hubcaps and another windshield since this had a crack:

Then, the owner comes out of nowhere and tells me “it’s for sale!” and we start talking about cars. The guy’s an old car enthusiast, I had found about a year earlier a 1930’sPackard hearse in incredibly bad shape but with a casket bed in incredibly detailed engraved wood right where the Cadoo sat now. He said he was restoring it wich I told him seemed like a Herculean task, he said “oh yeah, but I’m not new to it” and opened his garage to reveal this:

An extremely rare here Austin Healy frogeye Sprite, very well maintained and restored by the owner in its entirety, so the guy is quite the classic car enthusiast; I haven’t passed by the place anymore but I wonder what can I find now; I’ll put up pics of the Packard when I find them in my pile (:

You guys are too good.

Yep, it's a oldsmobile 1904

Surprised to see one here in the UK, and being driven!

I'll upload a few more in a minute or so. 👍

Bloomin eck Jerry! ... You still driving that thing :P

Looks like something out of steptoe and son without the horses :sly:

Rue I think your 964 cabrio is just a Carrera perhaps with a wide body kit, either that or an after market cabrio since iirc there were only a handful made by Porsche, maybe even less :scared:

also Serge, it's either a Carrera or a Turbo, not both :)

Sorry,little mistake from me.:dopey:

Maserati GTS.

Corolla Liftback.

Sorry if I ask it again:scared:,but what car is that?
(not the Mercedes,the other car)

Beautiful! 👍

That came out....
...fantastic!

Thanks guys.

The red bit is a 360 Spyder, and there was a red 360 ahead of the Carrera GT with vanity plate, I kid you not, DRV SLO. Like I said, shooting fish in a barrel.

Then I got kicked out of the parking garage. It's okay cause I got to shoot this one for a while:

I apologize if you're getting tired of the same backdrops. That one street is always supercar central, and I'm still learning with every car I shoot. My back's been pretty hurtin' so I can't quite get out during the day to go exploring. Still fun stuff though!

I don't mind at all. It's a nice area, and your photography skills more than back it up. Once again, very nice spots!
