I did notice the user title - thanks.
It's a trying time (moving) and everybody's been quite supportive, fortunately. Atlanta is classic. It's extremely hot here some of the time, and humid - totally different from Denver. Some things that suck: I can't have a car. In order to get to a good car-spotting area, it's a bus ride and a train ride - or a $25 cab ride one-way ($2.25 per
eighth mile). I'll have one next year - W124 400E FTW!! Another interesting car-related thing about Atlanta is the fact that Mercedes
dominates the car scene here. Period. BMW is second-class. Volvo is nearly non-existent. Saab is completely out of the picture. And finally - a lot different from Denver - black people are everywhere. But here's why it's weird: black people are
rich. And I don't mean rich - I mean
RICH. We went to Buckhead - "the Beverly Hills of the South" - and everyone's got expensive cars with expensive rims. Black people walk around wearing $800 or $900 worth of clothes. It's unbelievable - back in Denver, blacks are practically second-class citizens, but here it's the complete opposite.
Those are my impressions so far.
