Not sure, was paying more attention to the Owen Developments Evo 8 in Class A (AWD up to 3000.cc) flying round the track, until it lost pressure in the turbo...

In the end Tony Dolley from Bridgewater took overall lead in his Peugeot 206GTi after the Evo 8 dropped out, winning his class (Class B - 2WD 1801.cc to 3000.cc) by a fair margin.

how could you not see a 410bhp seat ibiza :P,going too fast maybe? :sly:
did Paul Ashton's impreza manage to finish the race? i know hes had some problems this year

Nope, sad to say he didn't. I was hoping he would get a good finish due to my love of Subarus but he pulled out after his car lost power coming out of Quarry corner (iirc). Oh well. Seeing a Darrian T98-GTR thrashed round a track made my day.

+rep for the videos, but I believe I have the wrong Subaru! I'm talking about the light blue one (program shows that neither Subaru was confirmed as racing, although the blue one did) Sorry about that. I don't think the Seat was racing either iirc.
your right, ibiza is currently getting new mods after a few laps of the nurburgring, should be out for the next race this month on saturday the 16th.it already has 410BHP!!!! :scared: and can spin the wheels in 3rd

I also saw a older (what appeared to be, and badged) M5 convertible

No pics:crazy:

Either this is a re-badged M3 convertible or the real deal

Any idea on the legitimacy on that thing?

Not an M5 convertible they never made it, in fact BMW never even made a 5 series convertible, it might be a conversion, either that or its just a re-badged M3. so the owner must have issues

It's pathetic that even with a car that small, he just barely got it in between the lines.

Actually he had just parked it for a second - he left a minute or so later. It was just a temporary park job (in a place where no-one parks).

Let's not make excuses for him Doug.

Today I see'd a Cadillac of some description.

 At least he's a car enthusiast - the cars I hate are the E39 530i and the E46 325i's. And those are everywhere.

It's Focii over here, and inexplicably, Peugeot 307s.

Oooh - which? Right-drive?

I didn't see much, I was a pedestrian and it came from behind.

I don't know which kind. It looked 90's ish, and screamed "generic sedan".

About C-Class sized I think.

Edit: By the by, how's Atlanta working for you? And have you noticed the user title? :D

What I really hate is the cars these rich kids' parents bought for them are nice, but they could be so much better. I mean kids come around and show off their new shape S40, and I'm thinking, wow - for $35k you could be in early E39 M5 territory but instead you're driving an average ****box. The S40 is the official car of Emory - it's not uncommon to get passed by two or three in a row. BMW comes in second for popularity.

 Not descriptive enough - that was every Cadillac!! You'd recognize a Seville right? Maybe you saw a Cimarron - those went '82 to '88 and are generally understood as the ****tiest Cadillac in history. This guy:

Nothing else was really in that size class, except the Catera, which was a Vauxhall Omega clone - you'd probably recognize that too.

Edit: By the by, how's Atlanta working for you? And have you noticed the user title? :D

I did notice the user title - thanks. :D It's a trying time (moving) and everybody's been quite supportive, fortunately. Atlanta is classic. It's extremely hot here some of the time, and humid - totally different from Denver. Some things that suck: I can't have a car. In order to get to a good car-spotting area, it's a bus ride and a train ride - or a $25 cab ride one-way ($2.25 per eighth mile). I'll have one next year - W124 400E FTW!! Another interesting car-related thing about Atlanta is the fact that Mercedes dominates the car scene here. Period. BMW is second-class. Volvo is nearly non-existent. Saab is completely out of the picture. And finally - a lot different from Denver - black people are everywhere. But here's why it's weird: black people are rich. And I don't mean rich - I mean RICH. We went to Buckhead - "the Beverly Hills of the South" - and everyone's got expensive cars with expensive rims. Black people walk around wearing $800 or $900 worth of clothes. It's unbelievable - back in Denver, blacks are practically second-class citizens, but here it's the complete opposite.

Those are my impressions so far. :D

Makes sense. If I could find a volvo in my budget that's chassis wasn't 80% rust I would value it as a first car. Then again my dad's completely against the the Volvo 'I'm-as-hard-as-a-tank' mentality.

Objection! The new S40 (and the old, as it happens) is actually pretty good. Although I would have gone with the M5 also. :sly:

I think it had the same kinda outline as the pic. What it was doing over here is a mystery.

Sounds crazy! I've seen enough pics of Denver to navigate my own way round :sly:, I hope we get as much input as Colorado era. That was amazing.

And Merc city, USA sounds pretty cool, I'm a huge Three Pointed Star fan.
As first impressions, what's th emosat common Merc?

And where abouts in Atlanta are you? I'd like to Googleearth your new house.

My first contribution to this thread: an Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato.

Coming back from the Goodwood Revival Meeting, where that car raced, I pulled over to take a phone call; as I was about to get back on the road, the Aston past me, so I set off after it. Took the photo, as you can see, at a set of traffic lights (and they had literally just gone green. Yes, really). And yes, I know my car's dirty.

Photo I took earlier, whilst actually at Goodwood, just to prove it really is the car I say it is:

Yup, that blue one's the one I saw. That silver Impreza and the Ibiza definately were not there. I'm going again on the 16th because I enjoyed it so much. Again, +rep for the pictures and video. - I would rep you if it wasn't for the 'spread the reputation givin' love' feature.

I agree it's good - but they're showing off the car like it's the best thing on Earth when there are such better cars available! And of course the non-car people here eat it up. My favorite is the kid with the ES330. You probably don't get those in the UK, but imagine a Lexus version of the Camry (which is exactly what it is).

Not gonna happen - maybe once a week. Mobility is such an issue here. :( I'm going to have so much fun in the next three years exploring this city, but this year it's going to be very limited.

And Merc city, USA sounds pretty cool, I'm a huge Three Pointed Star fan.

As am I - it's fun to see all of them around here, especially considering that they're so well-regarded. Unfortunately the most common one is the C-class - no surprise there, considering it's a "way in" to the Mercedes lifestyle for a lot less cash. With my W124 400E I'll fit in quite nicely. :D

And where abouts in Atlanta are you? I'd like to Googleearth your new house.

My ZIP code is 30322, and that's a college-only ZIP so you can look that up. If that doesn't work, try this address: 220 White Hall; Atlanta GA 30322. That's not exactly where I am but it's within a five minute walk.

He could be going to a different store...

O yeah, and nice 3000GT! God I love that car, they sound so bad ass. (The 3000GT, not the bently, never seen them move.)
