WE BE BACK!
From here on I don’t really remember if these are reposts but they are cool cars, so don’t worry; this is also the Ford post, many blue oval cars in here.
But First, a 1961 Impala four door but with the extremely rare panoramic roof, check out how much glass this thing has, and check out also the HEAVY hit it took in the rear quarter… this one would be a four door worth restoring tough, it is the only Chevy I’ve ever seen here with the panoramic roof option.
Then, a pretty busted VW Karman Ghia which has an incredible positive camber… haha, dunno, what’s up with the suspension on this thing, but dig the rollcage, trunk pins (that would be the hood) and front spotlights… maybe they were building this car to run hard, but i don’t think it will do it in this shape. Hope it got repaired.
Torino hardtop, very rare because Torinos were never sold here, it was in decent shape, could be a great cruiser if there was any ford culture in Mexico, but no, no one cares about Ford and Mercurys if they are not Mustangs. People is stupid here.
Ditto for this enormous 1962 Mercury Monterey (I think), its an awesome design, just check out that concave rear window! But it does not interest people the way a Mustang does… fortunately, the owner of this thing has kept it in pretty good condition to this day, I see it often and it is used regularly.
Very rare 1942 (I think, hard to say without nose) Chevy pick up without the entire nose assembly and showing its gleaming straight six power, these trucks are scarce compared to their late 40s-early 50s brothers; check out how complete this thing is (of course, except for the nose), it would make an awesome resto project because, come on, who steals an entire Chevy pick up front clip? Nah, the owner must have it.
Another interesting Ford, this Torino wagon surprised me! I did not even knew there were Torino wagons, and got damn that front is absolutely awesome, is one of the best front ends to come out of Ford in the 70s, and in wagon form it just killed me even if the rear is just like a Galaxie. Resto project? You bet.
Another gargantuan car, its a Monaco, two doors and almost 5 meters long, it works as hauler of the stuff needed for a street juice store.
And yet ANOTHER interesting FoMoCo product, a 1961 Mercury two door! Extremely rare here, it’s the first one I’ve ever seen in the wild, and in such a good condition!! Its a pity the pic was taken at night because it doesn’t make justice to how good the car was.
This awesome bracket VW bug lived by my house for a couple of months, it sounded incredibly aggressive, once it blew past near me at speed and the cam sounded pretty damn mean, I dunno how much HP it has or its times, but it sure is one heck of a street car, and its pretty nice looking with the Riviera wheels also.
Barely caught this Nova with SS emblems on the run, I later found the same car at the local drag strip and it is indeed a V8, making it one of two: a swap to a V8 in that model, or a very very rare factory issue Mexican V8 model without the Rally Sport trim. Nice American S200s and a slight rake set it off.
Another Ford propduct, this mid.70s thunderbird is an incredibly rare car here, specially in this condition, check it out, it’s perfect! This thing was not sold in Mexico and finding one that is well cared for is a rarity, most people dont care for this kind of big cars any more. Even the factory wheel covers are there. Sweet.
The monsterrrrrr! The only Audi RS6 I have ever seen in the street, in that furious red colour, this thing looks insane; when I shot this, I was not aware how much of a monster this car really is, but the other day I was reading some stuff about it… man, talk about a supersedan.
Rounding out the Ford stuff is this much more common but still refreshing to see in that good of a shape Ford Fairmont Elite II, and I’m fond of Fairmonts because I learned to drive in a 82 Fairmont wagon; this white car was absolutely mint, hard to see a Fairmont in any decent condition these days.
These are way rarer around here than you might think, 300C SRT8, and I still like the car a lot and of course, its engine.
Guess what? Rice is back people. from my roof, this Chevrolet Chevy C2 that has been bastardized with the usual Mexican trash treatment:
Another destroyed Chevrolet Chevy/Opel Corsa everywhere else, with a Mexican-made (pure quality) widebody kit. Horrid.
Stupid treatment to a Cirrus, check out all the appendices!
