I saw these two:

The guy in the Z4 started telling me how the nose is 15cm longer than it used to be, before I told him I was busy.

:irked:šŸ‘

It's almost as phallic as the Jag E-Type now.

I think I could imagine a Z4 met where the newer generation going around talking about how theirs is longer . To quote Clarkson, "How much do you not want to be there?"

But aren't supercars, particularly used examples, a dime a dozen in the U.S? In your classifieds it looks like you can obtain a good-nic used 360 for just 80k, so it surprises me that not one in atleast 15 Americans are driving them.
Only in certain parts of the US are they a dime a dozen. In other words, mainly California & southern Florida.

And while some exotics might be $80K+, you're forgetting that most people can not afford to also service & insure them. Financing one of these suckers roughly runs around $3,500 in the F430 if you're lucky. Add the maintenance & insurance per month and you're looking at a lot of cash. It's particularly why most people pay for the whole car all at once & worry about the rest later. However, most people don't have $100,000 cash in hand, so it's not that easy for the rest of us.

This guy in my neighborhood just bought a Benz S63... amazing exhaust note... i'll post a picture as soon as I get one.

Nice AC replica, mad94d... I had a friend who's dad had one of those... blue with white stripes. The exhaust note was memorable... brings back memories.

Only in America...

Sometimes I wish Darwin's theory of "survival of the fittest" took into account a person's taste in automotive design accessories. That car was only 10 houses down the road from mine, so I actually doubled back to get my camera when I gaffawed at this thing. Too bad the owners weren't there to see me laughing in their face!

In America, when a new luxury car comes out, a landau top is just bound to be installed on one by somebody. I can't wait until I see a Hyundai Genesis with one. Oh, it'll happen.

From today/tonight

A 240Z in really good shape also sporting a Japanese number, which I really liked.
IMG_4796.jpg

An early 90's Chrysler that is also Italian, how is this still on the road? Decently rare considering it was hideously expensive when new. For those who are wondering this is the Chrysler TC by Maserati.

Cobra kit car
IMG_4800.jpg

MurciƩlago LP 650-4 Roadster along with a Ferrari Scuderia ( funny name). Kate actually spotted the Ferrari which at first I thought was a normal 430 still I saw the stripes.

IMG_4803.jpg

Ford Mustang Mach 1 (maybe, once again I don't know old American cars).
IMG_4804.jpg

Both the Mach 1 and Boss 351 came with that side stripe, but only the Mach 1 had the stripe on the rear panel like in the picture, so you're correct.

Ferrari Challenge at Road Atlanta...not really "spots" but still pretty amazing to see so many Ferraris in one place, especially the FXX's and 333 SP

Wow I wish I was there... maybe I should move to Atlanta. Probably would see more cool cars than I would living in a college town... must be something in the air there...

Ha! Ok mate! Well walking down through my village this morning it seems my neighbour got bored of his Silver Spur and has plumped for something with slightly more poke. The DC2 of my other neighbour seems to have found a friend...

Bentley Turbo R

I think I've posted pics of almost all the cars in that list at some point.

Ah, nice Integras, I woulk SO put both of them in the cover of the magazine. We never got any around here, let alone with the japonly front end, and less so tuned up.

I'll poke you for more tuned car stuff (:

Edit 1: also, I demand a picture of the old heap aside the Turbo R, and an explanation of what in the heck it is o_o

Edit 2: Is that a Mazda speed6 wagon? The white low thing aside the old heap aside the Turbo R?

R8 outisde village shop. Nice parking, pal! šŸ‘

The old car is a Humber (posted before) and I dunno what trim the Mazda 6 is, I'll pop outside and take a photo when the F1 has finished.

Plymouth Superbird 1971

I'm kicking myself extra hard for this one. This shop almost always has something neat in the lot, so I always know to go by. Moments after taking this photo (waiting at a red light), I heard some rumbling behind me. Thinking it was just the SUV behind me with a broken exhaust, I paid it no mind. Turning the corner as the light turned green, I saw the Superbird disappear into the repair bay for the night, preventing me from getting a better shot. Maybe I can catch it tomorrow.

Hate to burst your bubble, but thats a 1969 Dodge Charger SE made to look like a Daytona which is owned by Mr. Angry.

Check link: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3100151

Still a sweet spot though!

From a few weeks ago but I just got the pictures up.

A 370Z. Not to bad in person.. to me

IMG_4868.jpg

Then a veilside 350 which wasn't to badly done

IMG_4915.jpg

IMG_4914.jpg

I still think the 370z looks like it was based on a drawing of a 350z made while falling down a flight of stairs.

The Veilside kitted 350z is nice, but the rims are incredibly ugly.

humber, heck, have never heard of that one before... O_o

"wikis"...

while I wiki the thing... POST!

First, this car appeared like this a block from my house, I said Ā“cool, another cool neat old car abandoned near meĀ”, and even better as it was very rare here mid 70s ( I think) BMW 7 series, freaking rare as BMW arrived at the country just 15 years ago or less, so this was weird.
vhkg047.jpg

Then, I saw it like this, Ā“wow, TheyĀ’re fixing it up!Ā”
ghg029.jpg

And then, wham! Fully restored with itĀ’s intact trim! Came out pretty good for having been restored in the walkway. Pity I could not get a pic of it with full chrome original wheelcovers, those came on later, then the car diaspeared, presumably to go to its new owner.
ghg096.jpg

Very very nice 1970 Ford Mustang fastback with 428 Emblems but a 351 Cleve underhood and a 4 speed, cool real Cragars, wider rears of course, traction bars, but the feature that caught my eye were the ground effects of sorts attached to the sides and rear of the carĀ… WTF? Who does this to such a car? IĀ’d still drive it, but come on, its no HondaĀ…
Also, waaaay rare here, no fastback Mustangs were sold in mexico before 1971, the very few that indeed are here are extremely sought after and incredibly expensive.
vhkg051.jpg

vhkg052.jpg

Ouch. This 3-series was crashed then taken to they body shop where it sat outside for months, until one day it was gone.
vhkg053.jpg

This is how I found this Datsun some 6 years ago,I re-found it again in the exact same spot with 4 flats, a picture I already posted.
vw001.jpg

Very cute mid-60s two-tone VW Bug complete with wood roof rack and whide whites, and awesome, very vintage colour combo. Id so daily drive something like this.
vw006.jpg

Some HarleyĀ… been a while.
vw008.jpg

Buried 1970 Duster abandoned under a house, nothing really special (slant-6 car) but the place seemed weirdĀ…
todos013.jpg

Very old picture of a tattered 54 Ford coupe, the car has since been put into storage in a nearby garage; the black hood behind it was a Mach 1 Mustang of which, for an odd reason, I have no pics of whatsoever.
todos017.jpg

A 1956 Chevrolet 4 door which I captured because of the chain and lock holding the doors shut (inset pic). Lol.
todos018.jpg

Stupid big Olds two door, very rare here, never were these sold around. I cant see how I could mess up such an easy pic to take.
todos020.jpg

This was cool, this vintage BMW motorcycle was the daily transportation of a teacher at the UNAM (public local uni, where my girl-then-now-wife studied),the guy was a philosophy teacher and had a looong gray beard and hair, and always used a pair of vintage, real-deal googles; the thing was loud as hell too. It was always fun to see him arrive.
tu005.jpg

Also at UNAM, someone had way too much money and too few brainsĀ… at least the wheels were nice.
tu011.jpg

Oh man, this will be hard to come by again, a Borgward in good shape! This automaker closed doors in UK in the sixties and the Mexican government bought the tooling and started Borgward de Mexico, a federally financed automaker, but soon the costs piled up and the production ceased. Very limited production numbers, you can recognize them because they have an Aztec calendar in the steering wheelĀ’s horn button, like this one.
tu013.jpg

A JeepWagoneer Alpina, donĀ’treallyknow whatit means the Alpina badge, but it caught my eye. That, and the fact that it was abandoned. Anyone knows what it is for sure?
tu016.jpg

Way rare Peugeot 406 wagon, these are extremely difficult to find, you can find the cars with certain ease, but a wagon is the rarest stuff (next to the ragtop,of which IĀ’ve seen one in my life) and this one was in decent shape, very restoreable, and way unique.
tu019.jpg

A row of late 50s European Ford Taunus,a very rare car here in Mexico, only sold in latin America through your preferred Ford dealer, brought directly from the UK or Germany,if I remember correctly. These are now just rustbuckets, but quite the spot none the less. I think they are 57s.
tu022.jpg

tu023.jpg

Cant do without a smidge of rice, and what better than an already horrid Nissan Almera to start? You can only make it better, right? Say again:
vhkg045.jpg

Now, this, more than a riced Bug, is a testament to the ownerĀ’s incredibly stupid ingenuityĀ… WHAT THE HECK are those tubes doing there? Ram Air? Tuba Induction? Yeah, to the spare tireĀ… I dunno, this was so weird. It just needs a hose.Red bumpers, ownerĀ’s name written, ScreamĀ… pish posh.
todos014.jpg

tu016.jpg

Apparently, the Alpina was a model only sold in Mexico. Basically it was a Wagoneer with the side stripe, Cherokee grille, spoked steel wheels, and white letter tires.

997 (I think the first Turbo I've seen in person)
997Turbo.jpg

Base Z with NISMO S-tune stickers

I can understand wanting the stripes, but it's even got the "NISMO S-tune" decals on the back. Still, looks good...
