Some from yeterday. Camera not the best performer at high ISO levels so excuse the grainy pics.

Being a kid from Finland, wich is the most supercar unfriendly country in the entire world (snow, ice, bumppy roads and a gazillion speed cameras). I was quite shooked last week standing outside the Haqrd rock cafe and in the space of about 10mins I saw a Audi R8 v10 spyder, Nissan GT-R Vspec, Aston Martin DB9 and a Rolce royce Phantom. I dont have any pictures since my jaw dropped. Not so strange since to most exiting thing over here upp in the frozen north (yes there is still snow on the ground) is a Porsche Boxster spyder...

Looks like another nice day out, Rue!

Beautiful 964, my pick of the litter, and nice clean Supra and RX-7. Plus a bunch of interesting spots (never heard of Vellfire, being stateside myself, cute Abarth Fiat!)

And, duh, I figured out what the "random" numbers are in your labels, the license plate number! Is that so you know when you're spotting the same car on a different day?

Here's what I saw yesterday and today.
Buick Coronet GS
Tuscani or Hyundai Coupe

Chevrolet Lacetti CDX saloon The very same model used on Top Gear, even with the correct paint.

And the pictures are where?

In other news, from least interesting to most:

rangeroller.jpg

A Range Rover Sport. Only interesting in two respects: It's brand new; It's purple

smeganesport.jpg

A Megane Renaultsport. Probably.

bentycontigt.jpg

Bentley Continental GT. Probably the most expensive car to buy new of this lot, but common as muck.

mk4supra.jpg

Mk4 Supra in that lovely bronze colour. I like these.

cozzerracer.jpg

Track-prepped Escort RS Cosworth. Probably, from the Q-plate, also stolen/recovered.

someferrariorother.jpg

Some Ferrari or other. Meh.

jagxj.jpg

New Jaguar XJ. Liking.

mazzer.jpg

Maserati Biturbo Spyder. Surprisingly moving.

mazzerandnissan.jpg

I know... I had to pinch myself. The above Maserati and a Nissan Navarra pickup, the most exciting car... in the WORLD

I used to own a body shop with my father off Dairy Ashford & Memorial, Stitches did all of our convertible tops & interior work. I enjoy your photos, lots of memories around the River Oaks & Galleria area for me.

The Buick is on my phone.

The others I couldn't take because I didn't have a camera or they were moving.

The previous DYSAGT thread just asked for people to say what they'd seen. It led to some pretty outlandish claims, and, well, rather devalued the whole thing.

So, now, we have a new thread, and new rules:
  • Please, only list cars that are interesting in some way. We don't want to see anything run-of-the-mill listed. In the previous thread, people announced having seen a BMW 328i, or a Nissan 240SX. These sorts of cars are not interesting, unless there is something specific about the car itself that makes it unusual, like seeing a new model on/before launch day, or a particularly good custom job. Cars worth less than $20,000 US when new will struggle to qualify as "interesting".
  • Don't just state the name of the car. Give us a picture at least - even if it's a crap one from a camera phone. If you can't show us the car, how can we believe that you saw it? And don't just replicate an image from Supercars.net or the vendor's web site: we want to see THE car that you saw.
  • Give us some context. Don't just post up a pic of a car and say that you saw it. It's much more interesting if you give us some context. Where/when/what you were doing when the sighting took place, for example.
  • Dealerships and Manufacturer/Tuner sponsored car shows do not count. This means that a race meeting/track day/concourse show/owner's club meeting does count. However, everyday "traffic" sightings are more interesting.

Please feel free to use the Reputation system to display your approval or otherwise of someone's claim. And please try to resist the temptation to slow-chat.

See car. Take picture. Post here.

Ok these are all within a week of one another so watch how the weather goes from nice, to awful, to nice again.

Questionable paint job aside, this is a rather interesting truck. It's a GMC Yukon with the optional, and fairly rare, 8.1L (496) V8 in it. It's one of the biggest, non-supercar equipped engines I know of offered in a production vehicle. Oh and then funny thing? Only 320hp

IMG_0530.jpg

GMC Typhoon, one of my all time favourite vehicles. 4.3L turbocharged engine powering all four wheels. This thing could beat Ferrari's at the time in the quarter mile. I always thought of it as the GT-R of the SUV world.

IMG_0531.jpg

CL-Class P3 AMG? It had a P3 badge on the back of it which I can't figure out what that means. It looks like it's some package offered on the car but I still have no idea.

IMG_0533.jpg

Bentley Conti GT convertible

IMG_0534.jpg

Hummer, these things are getting quite rare with the $4+ per gallon gas and what not.

IMG_0538.jpg

Lotus Europa Type 65

IMG_0539.jpg

IMG_0540.jpg

Volvo V70R, one of the coolest cars ever made in an equally awesome and appalling colour.

IMG_0541.jpg

Oh and for fun, I enjoyed this number plate.

i didnt want to open a thread just cause of this small request, but i need a scan / template of a US California Car Registration.

You keep discounting everything I say.

I'm just showing you proof that one wouldn't exactly be tripping over the things. It is a rare car and you probably don't see many of them. Just presenting the facts.

I see Home Depot delivers no matter where you are.

On another hand, I saw a Ferrari FXX today on a back country road. No pics, but it was awesome :sly:.

I also saw this Boss 302 a couple days ago. Still looking gor the Laguna Seca edition.

Buy lightbulbs, see cars.

And I'm totally jelly over the FXX, I'm guessing it's the Sultan's?

Story of my life.

Yep, Sultan's for sure. There was a Tiger in the passsanger seat too, so it was an extra cool spot. Speaking of the Sultan, there's an open house again on April 30 from 6 - 8 p.m. The only down side is it's $20 to get in, it's some fundraiser for a girs soccer team. My friend and I might head over just so he can see it finally.

This is humor, right? We were supposed to catch it at the FXX, now you're going over the top just in case we missed it...

I think I can support a girl's soccer team.

Nope, it's super cereal. I fact, there was a truck following behind with Rebecca Black singing Friday. It was quite the spectacle.

I think I can support a girl's soccer team.

That's what I'm sayin'. I'm already in Brighton because of work, so we'll probably cruise on over and check it out.
