Just want to confirm that camera modding works in every game mode if you apply your modded file in the same way as liveries!

You are able to post times on the leaderboards etc.

Over the last couple of days I played around and watched a bunch of Youtubes about the settings for my CSL Elite.
Feeling, forces etc is personal preference and I think I found the right spot :) I was already satisfied but it even got better.

Monaco is indeed (also) fun!

So far I cheated a bit...I admit...Mounted the McLaren GT3 wheel and used the right analog paddle as handbrake. Booh cheater!
Now I placed an order for a handbrake and Fanatec hub. Hopefully adds more realism/immersion. I could use my spare TH8A as handbrake but too lazy to install it now. Ooh and I will get a rally wheel from my colleague tomount on the hub. Happy me!

And meanwhile did some stages in Monte Carlo:

I let here my FFB settings on dirt Rally 2.0 using a T150 Pro wheel, did the wheel calibration in-game at 900 degrees.

Really like now the FFB that the game offers.

Created my first custom event today. So are the cars we can use considered to be fully upgraded? They seem to be compared to the online events. Plus the repairs are free.

Haven’t completed the entire event yet, but are credits awarded? I got nothing after finishing the first Rally.

I think upgrades and prize money may only be in the Career mode not Freeplay, unfortunately. Not 100% sure though as I'm only getting time to run daily's lately and picking the lowest upgraded car each time to build them up.

I completed a monthly challenge, but just barely. My Mini was a pile by the end of it. Sadly, I damaged my lights before a long night stage (no service area) and had to DNF it, no way I could see where I was going. I still placed in the top 500 overall, which in my book is OK!

Not to take away from your enjoyment sir but hasn't there being threads concerning handbrakes ie; lack of mapping/binding.

DR2.0 has been discounted on PS store. $40 for the base game.

I’ve been having a good time. I’ve noticed that unlocking the additional mechanics and leveling up the crew chief unlocks even higher engine and part upgrades. Now I’ve got the option to unlock engine upgrade 5.

Finally making some progress in the career mode with better finishes. Cars are becoming better performers and it also helps becoming familiar with the stages and overall feel of the handling.

pfff looks like I have to learn to drive again in DirtRally. :dopey::crazy:

Ordered Wednesday a new steering wheel hub and handbrake both from Fanatec and swapped 36 hours later the McLaren GT3 wheel.
I was used to drive with both hands on the wheel and use the paddle shifters and analog paddle for handbrake. This new setup is obviously more realistic for rally car racing and the immerion and fun factor is 10 out of 10 which comes with a learning curve. #KeepPushing....

What a different feeling between the two wheels. Had to increase almost all FFB settings both on the CSL Elite base as well as in game.

I repositioned the shifter/handbrake combo to make it more sturdy on my rig. Created a kind of a center console as in a car.
Also decided to mount the wheel base on a rock solid table in stead of the NLR wheelbase plate. No more friction movement.

Ready for the Rally wheel donated by my colleague (used in a real DS3 R5) then the DD1 base and finally in July/August DR2.0 in VR.

Next thing to do: cable management

Fun fact: I convinced my wife that we just had to buy a round wheel and handbrake because our 18 year old son is having real life driving lessons. So it is cheaper that he also practice with a virtual setup. Saves a couple of lessons for him. SOLD! Love her while she said "I'm not stupid" :embarrassed:.

I've had a great time playing this game the last few weeks. I'm glad they finally included Skoda, especially the older Fabia. Infact, I didn't buy the game until they released the older Fabia, because I wanted to drive it first. And driving it for the first time in New Zealand, nailing the first half before getting a puncture, and having a rear tire degrade before bursting ranks as one of the best racing game experiences I've had. I was way down the order, but it was so involving and fun. Don't know how I managed to keep the car straight after the puncture.

My only real problems with the game so far are that the random events are hardly eventful, and that the earliest start time is midday. I'd love to start my rallies on a slightly foggy morning, and end with a night stage.

I read somewhere when season 2 is going to be released but I can't this information anymore.

When will it be released?

Rallycross fan here. :D

I completed the master Group B championship in the historic mode with the audi quattro to get a feel for the car looking forward to community events. Damn even at 10% AI it was a challenge. I hate that car.

Had a few runs after with split times that would’ve put me in first but couldn’t keep it together. View attachment 811312
Any tips to make the Integrale somewhat competitive?, it is the worst group a car by a mile, when the it was supposed to be the complete opposite as It was the two times champion in the said category.

I think this car features serious weight transfer issues on dr2, and btw the Lancia is not the only one to apparently suffer from them. There's a lot of Dirt4 signatures on the physics department affecting the handling negatively that really begins to spoil my fun sometimes. I've once more fired up Dirt rally1 for comparison sake, and aside the low gravity thing the cars flow naturally around the track with a borderline perfect sense of weight transfer corner after corner, and more importantly, without these oddities that one after another usually trigger on DR2.

Nothing might be getting simulated on DR1 whereas DR2 simulates this and that and blahblahblah devs said in that episode, but I'm starting to believe that perhaps in this case the less simulation CM attempts at the physics while using the ego engine, the better.

The Delta is awful in this game. For me, it just wants to slide off the road all the time at any speed.

And IRL it won 10 championships—Manufacturers 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992
Drivers 1987, 1988, 1989, 1991

Granted, it ran unopposed for a few years until Toyota got their act together, but still impressive.

Certainly I have tried a hundred different setups ranging from the usual realistic ones that worked well on DR1 to others more crazy DR2 style and hoped for the car to respond positively at least on one of them. I have failed a hundred times to do so.

This game.., Dirt4..., too much.., most definitely.

DR2_weight transfer = LeLz

The Delta certainly feels weird... but to me it feels like it has lots of downforce or something. It goes like it's on rails and it's really stable. Overall it's pretty much the quickest Group A car in DR2, even though it really shouldn't be.

It's plenty fast with the stock setup (obviously I did use soft tires, though)
