Have to say the Delta drives well for me. That and the Cossie are easily the best Group A drives.

I did not expect that with the monthly challenges your car will carry over damage from the previous event. I can understand that I'd have to pay for the repairs, but even that is not possible when switching countries.

I think I spent more money on repairs then buying new stuff. Can I blame Codemasters in some way for that or is it my driving skills Yes retorical question. #Keeppracticing

There is a chance to repair before starting the next location in a monthly. I can’t remember what the option was and where. I had missed it the first time as well, and thought the same as you and was frustrated driving my banged up Mini Cooper around. I can’t remember the exact path, but I think before starting the next event, there was an option to choose. It was very easy to miss though and wasn’t evident.

Memory lane: The Opel Kadetski B type was my first ever car. Also red but after removing some rust without side skirts...I was so happy with my self earned 600 Dutch guilders "investment".

It started well according to UK salessales figures but then It dropped according to multiple sources. Also Is not receveing a good evaluation by steam users (6/10). I do not expect any season 3.

I think that sounds like a possibility. We know the pace knows have been done for the 6 extra locations.

I don't see that happening to be honest. DR2 ain't as good as its predecessor and cm know this well. They can make it superior in content with these two forthcoming seasons, but by no means I think they are risking a third one let alone rally only unless sales are overkill.

I'm also talking with other fellas sharing which are by now them more matured feelings about the game one month after, and these definitely range from the not so positive ones that compare dr2 over dr1 to kinda mildy positive ones but with many reservations regarding physics.

I really hope for DLC2 to contain the DR1 stages. I hardly touch RX anyway.

Just had a blast with the RWD Escort in the Daily Spain stage. Stage 3 engine. What a ride. Loved it. I was getting into a sort of "zone". It happens when I really feel one with the car.

Then my dream is shattered by loosing it in a sharp blind 1. Still love it!

Ok. Well the guy recording pacenotes said It did It for 12 rallies. If they have done it they will release the rallies sooner or later. Considering that i haven't read yet of someone interested in RX It would be stupid to create brand new RX tracks and Cars if the game Is not selling well. You put the old rallies a bit reveamped (Imo monte Is quality peak Just because Is the First One) and you are done.

Well we will see, giving that i am already starting to get bored i do not even see myself playing the game in 6 months. Too much time to wait to have the full game.

My favorites are the early WRC series from Evolution. WRC II Extreme is probably my all-time favorite, but that's mostly because I had more time to play back then than during the Evolution PS2 era.

Current-gen, Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO is my favorite.

Colin McRae Rally 2.0 on PS1. First driving game I ever enjoyed and was on first wheel I owned. I still hold that as my gold standard for enjoyment to compare other rally games to.
DR2 would be my second, as I enjoy the stages and tuning, but the FFB road feel, and number of night stages holds it back for me personally.

Why? I had fun with both and wrc4 had beatiful landascapes. I have to admit the i enjoyed also vrally3.

I have to say that even if the quality of actual games (dirti 1 and 2) is well above the past i cannot extract the same fun factor from them.

Maybe is the pain in the ass of setting-up the wheel, the lack of content, maybe the senseless career mode, the lack of any atmosphere or the ridicolus simulator wannabe ambition that makes the game just frustating. I know now It is better but i am not satisfied.

Amazing how far they have come, with VR and full motion increasing the immersion and experience all the time.

Dakar will not even rate a mention, as a driver, not a trainee navigator. To not be able to use a G29 for a month was a joke. Regardless of how big or pretty it is.

As a matter of curiosity. What is everyone heres favourite ever rally game?

Each new game that releases usually becomes my favorite but I like most anything.

DR2.0 leads the pack and has the potential to be my favorite if Season 2 contains Rally stages. Otherwise the current stages could use a few more weather/time variants. Tire strategy and surface degradation is what makes this game my current #1.

WRC8 might make a serious challenge but we’ll see. I usually gravitate back to the DiRT series.

Dakar 18 gets an honorable mention.
