LOL, I've given up with Codemasters - all the DR2 DLC on PS4 is showing up in F1 2018, and not in DR2.0 - WTF

To that end I've just pre-ordered F1 2019 out of morbid curiosity to see how bad they can really f'k up.

I have the season pass,no Latvia rally cross track showing up ,read somewhere you have to go to store and download it,tried that and got charged 3.99 euros, barely worth buying once, but twice :grumpy::grumpy::banghead: w:censored:s

I found some information on Reddit.

It says they are aware of the issue and are working with Sony to resolve it.
There is more information about it when you open the Reddit post.

Thank you for the heads up. I went over to the Reddit site. Sounds like they are aware it’s on the PS Store but that’s it’s asking for $ for it from Deluxe owners.

I got it, and I’m complete balls at the Group B cars. My method was to focus simply on bringing the car home – especially in Poland or New England, where I actually got the achievement. With the amount of retirements and mistakes from other drivers, a nice, clean run should usually get you pretty close to the top tier at minimum.

Never did huge mistakes, but never been best than third tier :dunce:

Has anyone else noticed that the lights don’t work on the Latvian RX track? The HUD ones work fine, but the ones at the track don’t. Completely dark, not even the “Ready to Race” light.

Same at Mettet, hopefully they're fixed soon.

@PJTierney , how about the dials on the RS200 RX version. They do not seem to move when using the cockpit view.

Oh and I really started appreciating the RX part of DR2.0. It is really an enjoying thing to do!

I don't have any glitch, simply I can't finish in the top tier :banghead:

Does anyone know how many of the Audi Quattro only events there have been thus far for the 'Fire it up again' achievement, sadly I don't get on every day so must have missed them but they can only have been 3 or 4 since launch?

A pretty stupid achievement/trophy all round in my view, particularly if they are only available once in a blue moon

To me is like the Rally GT cars in this game. The Camaro with either full or half positive toe on the rear and a more locked diff makes you feel like you are playing a complete different game. And then group a of course in spite of Deltas.., weird behaviour. But we have the old school Subaru

This game has very weird unrealistic toe settings for most cars. In rwd cars, If you don't set it positive on the rear by at least half the bar, 1º usually, they don't behave properly when sliding and counter steering.

It's not Audi Quattro only I didn't think is it? I thought it could be attained in any Group B 4WD daily. In which case there's been quite a lot.

Oh really, some guy on the codies forum said it was a Audi only event with 2 tiers of rewards not 4?!?! I’ve missed a few then :(

And then there’s the Alpine, an over and counter-steering nightmare. I took your tip and increasing the rear toe (positive) helps keep it under control. Never would have thought to mess with the toe setting as I rarely touch it.

Rear toe angle is my first go-to for correcting excessive oversteer. Also I love the Alpine and Stratos. You don't so much steer them as just give them a little nudge in the direction you want to turn, then the car decides to turn on its own, and when you're happy with how far you've turned you give it a little nudge to straighten back out. The car knows what to do, you just have to translate the pace notes to it. ;)

Point is that most real life rwd cars cars have toe in settings applied on rear wheels too (rwd street cars have it in the front mostly, around +0.11º) in order to make them easier to control when drifting.

On dirt 1 and 2, almost all rwd cars have neutral rear toe setting which is weird to say the least, so increasing it to +1º (go full +2º on the rear without hesitation in the most powerful rwd cars like they do in real life) makes them behave in a more realistic way when sliding around.

The most delirious example in the dirt rally series on this toe-in/out subject was the Lancia 037 in dirt rally 1, which had a -0.2º toe out setting the rear tyres (lol wtf?), which was the main reason for this car to be that hard to control on tarmac mostly, not just because it was a rwd gropu b beast on crap tyres. I think this car in real life had some glorious +4º toe in setting on the rear wheels that helped wonders on the most hardcore slides.., until tragedy happened.

Also and for rwd cars too, you might want to apply at the very least +0.2º on the front wheels too in fast flow rallies like Poland, Sweeden and Germany for extra resistance to control loss when drifting. Your mood will appreciate this too trust me, and it is also a realistic setting for these car on the front wheels.

I mean. In dirt rally2 we have a +2º max setting for toe in. But what does, for instance +0.2º means in this game compared to real life.., +1º?, and the full bar to the right which marks +2º?, is that around +3º or +4º in real life?

Let's hope CM is already working on a new engine at long last, because we cannot simply continue to use those classic F12010-2019 toe settings in all Ego CM games much longer. It's been enough of that already.

I love them too, or I wouldn’t even bother. :) I’ll take the historical cars any day and the Stratos is my favorite car in the game. The mid engine layout makes it more manageable vs the Alpine.

Can’t wait for the Porsche 911 in the future update.

I don't agree with the classic line "rwd rally cars separate the boys from the men" though. 4x4 cars may be easier for drifting which in the end is what rally racing is about, but riding them on the limit has also its set of particular risks, where maxed out skill and reflexes are needed as well. One mistake with those too and you crash.

I agree though that modern diffs on the current "gen" of rally cars has made matters a lot easier to deal with. The true evolution for one decade and a half has revolved around making differentials godly corner taking wise. You don't even need good wheel geometry on this ugly modern rally cars anymore.

Misquote I reckon. Glad you're enjoying the RX, I find it more relaxing and get into a flow better. Love to rally too, but way more intense.
