Wouldn't mind some DLC as I know it would extend the life/replayability of the game by quite a bit.
Oh, let's say a DLC pack of around 10 premium cars, both old and latest models to keep some of the ingame races, photomode and online fresh.

It also wouldn't hurt to have more tracks, photomode locations and events added to the game with some DLC cars as prizes.

I voted yes. It wouldn't hurt to see newer cars being available to players that weren't available at time of release, along with tracks and other features that could be added.

well, since only 20 "locations" are available, which i totally don't understand yet. but if 20 locations mean 20 different track sites... dLC is a must because that isn't enough to me. and maybe a weekly "premium car" for $1 sounds pretty good too.

or maybe a conversion of a standard to premium car would be a good idea for DLC.

If you don't want DLC, don't buy it! Chances are there will be, and I probaly will buy it if it's 59p/$1 per premium, but not like sonic all stars racing where a car and character is £3:29 ish

Some interesting information regarding DLC from Turn10's latest Pitpass Podcast:

Car DLC needs 9 months to produce.
Track DLC needs 18 months.

Production has many serial steps so it's not possible to shorten the required time. Contrary to what many core gamer request car DLC sold way more than track DLC. However track DLC isn't integrated into Forza very well.

i would expect new cars as they're released as free content, then pre,ium content such as real tracks, and tasy premium cars, i just hope they're not more than 3.99 a pack

i voted NO, not because i won't any but because i believe they will start working on GT6

Free updates like the specs on GT5P

But if they're doing free updates that will still mean staff are working on it, same as Premium DLC!

The 2nd post on this topic just about sums up how clique this site can be.

On topic, dlc priced correct shouldn't be a problem.

OH HELL yeah i would want DLC and would not mind paying at all. For all those people here that say they won't want any unless its free, Imagine this. It takes PD 6 months to model 1 car. 6 MONTHS!! I don't know how long it would take for a track but i expect even longer! And alot of hard work goes into making those cars and tracks.

GT4 cars had about 20,000 polygons max, but GT5 has over 200,000 just for the standard cars! I can't find any information concerning the tracks, but i bet they are way over 500,000 especially for a track like the Nurburgring.

so stop complaining, because alot of work goes into making them and to have them put for free would be a shame. we should pay to have extra art (Cars are ART :sly: ) added to the game at user transgression.

I hope that they allow for a customized car package, like 20 cars of your choice for $10.00 cause some cars i would not want in my game.

I wouldnt say no ! besides why wouldnt you want new cars added to the game or tracks ?

YES for me !! More DLC ! :dunce:

If there's gonna be DLC's, I hope they're appealing or useful like purchase in-game money, car packs of cars that aren't in the game, or conversions that turn a certain standard car into a premium car.

DLC can be a fantastic way to expand and enrich a title, especially a game like GT5, which often has out-of-date cars and tracks. For example, in GT4, they have one 2004 model JGTC car, a few 2003 spec. cars and a load of 2001 cars from concept! I would much prefer to be kept up-to-date with constant car and track updates. Finally got around to upgrading all of those older cars to 'premium?' I'll happily pay another tenner for the extra work put in after release. Got the 2011 Super GT and Le Mans cars and tracks? I'll chuck a fiver in for that.

But, there is a line developers/publishers have crossed in the past that I would despair at in Gran Turismo, and that is staggered costs for a full title. I have refused to purchase Assassin's Creed II because they decided to omit a chapter, unless you pay them more money for DLC. Granted, a re-release included this DLC (which I may yet purchase), but it should have been there in the first place. I never said it was OK to cut bits out of a game, yet charge me the same price.

Developers know when they've crossed this line, and often, so do we. DLC can be a great thing (and Gran Turismo is better placed than most to take advantage of this), but as long as it's not abused. It needs to be a post-release service, not a chance to take us for a ride.

Amen to that mate, I would spend another sixty bucks to have all standard models remodelled, and also, for GT6 I'm quite sure there will be a lot of new cars to model and being so, I fear for the old Standard cars from previous GT's they can actually get a nasty place on PD's priorities list, paying for improved versions would convince Sony to redo them with no doubt.

If the keep up with DLC there would be no need for another GT game until the PS4's come out! DLC FTW!

Yes, as long as they're free, or they don't cost outrageous prices as with other games.
Even 1$/car is too much, considering the content included with GT5.
I'm all for "packs" or "expansions", not for individual downloads made to rip off people (by making them paying the game hundreds of dollars over time, rather than all at once. That's like slow poison vs a backstab). In the case of GT5 it also has to considered that there might be tracks/cars that one might have never considered using until trying them out, and surely (at least sane/normal people) people don't usually throw money on DLC randomly just to try something.
Sorry for the general tone of my message. I really hate what DLC have become over time.

If PD make more 'era' themed races XJ13, GT40, Ferrari P3/4 for example, with several cars & a couple of tracks.I'd gladly pay £10 or more for it.

Now imagine there are 10-12 of equally interesting "themes", all containing in average five cars and 1.5 tracks (sometimes 1, sometimes 2 + variations), at an average price of 12 pounds each. It doesn't sound like a very proportionate price anymore, at least to me, as they would have together the same amount of content of GT5P for 5 times its price.
