DLC release discussion (Some note in first post)

I've only got one PS3, so if I login with the account that DL DLC, its fine, but if i login with the other, can only play online on somebody else lobby on their own terms and conditions and possibly with the car or type of car they want(wich they should because they paid for it), so to do this I'll not buy it.

If they want to do practice etc. they will still need it to their own accounts..
Also I have a glue, that they share ONE ps3, so they will no be able to setup a 'local' online race for both to participate in.. :sly:

I am also unhappy about the current 'need' to buy one DLC to each family-member wanting to enjoy Spa under their own accounts (and me having to buy it twice, for adding to my GTP-account as well..) :yuck:

I would buy it but not like this, this is ripping people off their money, me and my son have 2 separate accounts, I'm not giving 24€ just so we can race on SPA

I bough my PS3 in Europe now moved to Canada

My PSN is from Europe
All my SaveGame are on my PSN from Europe
My GT5 disc if from Canada
I bought the DLC from my "SaveGame" PSN (so Europe)

I even bough it twice by mistake cause i couln'd see it dammit!
It's in my "account manager" in the PS3 but NOTHING! NOTHING in GT5.

If it's really that locked 🤬 YOU PD and Sony, i have the game almost complete and about 800 cars i would loose seriously in the real life the "border" thing is already pissing off doing that online i just plain stupid.

PlaystationStore don't want to refund even if i CAN'T USE the item, too bad i am calling a fraud on my CreditCard cause that exactly what PSN Store policy does. If the item was already bough i should have receive a warning, if the item is region lock with the disc or the PSN i should have been precise which one of those.

Its really stupid move by PD they are not getting my money on this, instead I'm going to try to buy the signature edition for €49,99 that I saw last week, hopefully there still be one of them left for me.
 
Happy I'm not some wacko gamer with gazillion account playing one game and another gazillion playing another. I have one game (GT5) and one account and I'm getting this DLC because apparently it's tailor made for ME!

And to the OP: in English, please. Isn't HKG once a English colony. My god, my dog can speak better english than that :)

I just read this down the line that the US version of the DLC is delayed until the 25th, So looks like MOAR waiting.

Edit: Due the the Delay the US people would be getting a "special" bonus...for the delay.
 
I must say the fact Spa can be used online without paying for it makes me less inclined to buy DLC at all.

I do want to support PD though, and probably the more people that buy this, the more chance of more DLC in the future.

Thats how We're all feeling, PD really **** this one.
We're all used to PD scr***g things but this time they've gone to far.

This is not the issue (although yes a side-effect) - but what about multiple accounts on the one machine for multiple people? Why should a father have to buy the DLC multiple times so all his kids can play on their own accounts?

I woke up, logged in Brazilian ps store, saw no gt5 updates, logged out, logged in european ps store, BOUGHT THE DLC, installed it, then got to the news screen telling me it would not work on my playing account.

I feel PD stole good money from me!

I woke up, logged in Brazilian ps store, saw no gt5 updates, logged out, logged in european ps store, BOUGHT THE DLC, installed it, then got to the news screen telling me it would not work on my playing account.

I feel PD stole good money from me!

Neither of these things have anything to do with PD...

edit: I take that back, although PD need to be cut some slack imho, hadn't realised other PS3 DLC worked how we want this one to.

I guess people have different reasons to have multiple accounts for one person. One of them, I would imagine, is to race on GT under their own flag, to represent their own nationality. Is this forbidden now ? I'm gonna take a wild assumption here and say that each one's reason to use multiple accounts is their own business.

Now, all other DLCs anyone buys work with any accounts that one has (Assassin's Creed, Batman, Bioshock, to name but a few). So yes, what PD have just done is just plain wrong, specially because some countries do not have PS Store availability (and people may have their GT careers on such accounts of a given nationality with no PS Store available), thus, they have to rely on an american/european account to buy content (depending on the region of their software, of course), but they still want to have access TO WHAT THEY PAID FOR ON THEIR MAIN CAREER ACCOUNTS and any other accounts they have for themselves or family members.

I have multiple accounts because I have moved country, I was originally from New Zealand and now I live in Australia. I still use my New Zealand account to play games and the Australian account to buy games from the PSN store because I cant get NZ store credit over here.

I purchased the GT5 DLC with my australian account but i use my NZ account as my daily, i have platinum on it and over 1000 cars. Having DLC on an account I barely use is really helpful for me :dunce:
