Oh well thank you! I remember Xenn telling me a similar trick to race on dirt and snow in GT3 and that was kind of what got me the idea.

Like I said earlier, it doesn't matter what car it is, when I enable all tires, it will not let me race on dirt or snow. I tried it on that Focus Rally Car since I knew it could originally and it enabled them all and I was able to install dirt and snow tires from the tuning menu but it wouldn't let me race it on dirt or snow.

Hummmm well i will try to see if i can get it to work. I'll let you know.

Try both methods and see what happens. Of course do one method on one car that can't race on dirt or snow and then the other on another. When your done installing the tires, make sure they can race on dirt and snow before you update.

One thing I should note is I have times were when I swap the body it will mysteriously enable all tires and sometimes it won't let me race on dirt or snow not all the time. If this happens and it doesn't work, sell it and start again but use a different body that can get dirt and snow tires this time.

Sadly you won't be able to drive offroad in practice mode, but if you have a custom rally course, you can go to your course list and drive on it.
Here are some other downsides to this method:
Can't race in the offroading parts of GT Rally (even though you've met the restrictions. Even the dirt/snow tires required bit has the checkmark next to it, so essentially the game is confused.)
Karts fitted with offroading tires either by Sony's method or by using Luca's editor, can only be driven in Arcade Mode, so if you like driving as your own driver and not a generic A.I., you're out of luck here.

Slightly off topic, the Alfa 155 Touring Car is GOD offroad. In the right hands, you can wipe the floor with an Escudo. Meanwhile, the 5G is terrible offroad in my opinion. XD

Correct. I'm not sure if there's a good way to get offroad tires using the editor. I believe you might be able to swap the dirt/snow tires from a rally car onto one of the cars in your garage, but I'm not sure.

Been busy testing some cars with hacked dirt/snow tires, and so far the Alfa 155 Touring Car is the best one so far (not counting cars that can have dirt tires normally like the Escudo, obviously that's the best car offroad.), the worst so far is a toss-up between the 787B, any F1 car (including the FGT) and the X2010 5G. They just wheelspin everywhere or spin in a straight line. I also find that any NASCAR is shockingly good offroad once you get passed the massive amounts of torque. Guess NASCARs still have a little bit of their origin left in them, since they started offroad back in the 40s.

I don't think there is. I don't mean to brag but my method works nearly every step of the way because every car I have modded to race on dirt and snow using my method can work in any mode your in including GT Rally (when regulations are met), practice, arcade and any other rally race.

While it indeed does take a bit of time with your method, I will agree and say that so far, your method seems to be the best.

Yea it may be more time consuming but it is worth it since you can do a lot more. I was able to race my 5G in GT Rally, (of course I had to use the power limiter to get in) and it worked just fine. Considering your installing dirt and snow tires through the game itself instead of "hacking" them on, it works better.

The turbo tickets and weight reduction tickets work. So, there is still this aspect of it. I've managed to recreate some of the cars I had before from a power:weight aspect. The chassis are still a little dodgy on some cars though.

The loss of the ride height adjustment is what saddens me the most. That's all some cars needed to become competitive.

I did the update, and there are some residuals from the hack a few cars unobtainable hp than a standard car. My (pre-hacked) Lancer X TC is at 546 - (post-hacked) is at 518. Not saying ALL my hacked cars have extra HP just a select few.

I haven't tried. I expect it will reset though. There is no reason to believe the code that resets the parts will only work once.

I don't know how you guys could do it, just too much on 2.11... I think I'm going to stick to it until a year or 2 after GT6 gets released,. Hopefully after a couple years it will be closer to a finished game...
