I certainly do its just something about the kindness and the friendships you make with fellow GTP members no matter how small that friendship is. It's also nice to know that you are in a community full of people who like the same game. Honestly I don't like to play Call of Duty 24/7

I'd say it has definetely improved my forum etiquette because unlike most forums the rules enforce you to message people with proper english instead of textspeak.

Also, this may be off topic.

I've moved it on over to the Rumble Strip 👍

I dunno... originally, I'd say yes. It definitely is great to have somewhere online to talk about similar interests. Now, though? It's tempting to say GTP has made me less nice :P

Guess to answer the question it also depends whether you are a mod or not .... :scared:

Becoming a (gifted) premo it didn`t make me less nice...

Do you think GTP has made you Nicer?

Nope, definitely not. I had my share of problems with other members, mods and myself. :D

I've never liked textspeak. 👍

Though I really wish GTP had a multi-cultural/multi-lingual side, since I definitely wish I could speak to those people who make posts in English, that make no sense...

Yes, I feel that GTP has made me nicer, because I'm starting to give more room on a racetrack than normal. Back when I was twelve... :sly: my karting career was going well, and the only part I couldn't manage was passing. I've practiced passing, now, especially in GTP races and iRacing, and it's going well. So, if nothing else, GTP has improved my passing. :)

Has GTP made me a nicer person?

Much like Slip - originally, yes. Now? Outside of those who really know me? Not so much anymore.

"Staff Sniper" - a term gained with, in my opinion, helpful and insightful moderating. Therefore, yes, I'll agree. :) But, not without justification.

It's helped me notice how I've gotten smarter, my posts sort of document my intellect, looking back I know things I didn't know back then and I can reflect on that improvement. Before I came here I never thought I was getting any smarter, but now I know that I am.

But nicer? I've become a nicer person in my time on GTP, but it's not GTP that caused it... In fact, if I retrace far enough, it probably is. The main reason for me being nicer would be the Brony community (that definitely has made me a better, more motivated and dedicated person), and I would never have become a Brony if I wasn't on GTP, so yes.

I won't say nicer, but I'd say more forum-smart. If you saw any of my older posts you'd think I was a complete idiot.

I have gotten strangely good at puns though.

Samesies ;) +1

It's improved my spelling, punctuation, and grammar to no end. And as result has turned me into a fully-fledged grammar Nazi.

No. I am who I am still and a forum won't change that. Sure I might be nice a lot on the forum, but that's because the people on this forum (the ones I talk to) generally are nice so I treat them like they treat me.

If this forum was full of mean people I'd act mean to them.

However it has helped me convey my thoughts in english better. Just by forcing me to try and spell the best I can, using capitals at the beginning of sentences and using full stops at the end of them has made me spell like this on other sites.

I must agree with my moderator brethren.

With the stuff you guys are forced to put up with , I don't doubt it 1 bit. :nervous:

Great job guys. ;)

For me, I'd say yes. I have pretty much went from trading things off, to just literally giving stuff away. Especially to those reputable people who are in need.

Absolutely not.
In fact, I'd say I'm more of a cold-hearted cynic then I was when I joined.

Even though yes, I do give stuff away, it's not because I want to "better the community". It's because I get bored.

I actually don't know. I've noticed that I've become a nicer person overall but I may have just matured.

This right here, also it taught me how to use a forum.

Nope. Had my fair share of heated discussions and arguments. Met some rather interesting personalities but overall it was a positive experience. Although what has improved is my racing and forum etiquette.

Nicer? Possibly. Well...I'm not quite sure. If anything's changed, it can likely be attributed to getting older.
What I do know is that I've put more effort into what I post, and I take more time to think before posting than I used to. My grammar has definitely progressed, and it does bother me when people don't use proper English. :dunce:
As for nice, no, not really. I've just kept more of my feelings inside, and I've tried to ignore some of the members that I don't care for. :dopey:

I was already nice to start with, but I've certainly learned more about who is worth knowing/ talking to and who is better to ignore. :)
