Do you want GT6 for both PS3+PS4

Just recall the number of people here who mentioned they won't buy a PS4 until Gran Turismo is available for it, and multiply that from tens of thousands to perhaps a couple of million.

More well thought out calculations there.

That's an excellent point, and you know that Sony has to be looking at the amount of potential sales on the PS3 as well.

Sigh... :P

But, you're right max. I will admit once more that if Kaz produces a solid GT6 for PS3, it'll be a good game and I'll be preordering it, along with a few million other humans.

You know something TD? I put some thought into it and after reading the post you made above about what the PS4 will represent to GT6, I am having a change of heart.

I am almost leaning to the side of not wanting to see GT6 on the PS3 at all.

Awight you, knock it off! You're being too accommodating!

But ya know, no matter what SONY has Kaz produce, we're going to win. And if the world lasts long enough, God willing, we're going to see the most amazing racing games on PS4 the world has ever seen. Well, except for some of those PC guys which are sure to come along.

And if the world lasts long enough, God willing,

Interesting perspective there.

we're going to see the most amazing racing games on PS4 the world has ever seen.

Maybe, maybe not.

Many of us have already been through this once, when the PS3 came out.

The only reason I bought one, soon after release, was to play GT5P, and as you appear to be now,
I was under the illusionary fantasy of a soon to be released GT5 that would be "the most amazing racing game" ever.

Needless to say, my fantasy, fell far short of projection.

I am not so euphorically inclined this time around.

There will be no PS4 or GT6 in my future, unless I am convinced this GT installment is truly as you describe.

GT5 has been one of the most polarizing games for diehard fans I've ever seen. I will admit that I share many poster's discontent with a number of things that are shortcomings or just didn't make sense. I quit posting about them after a few weeks because I was just repeating myself, other posters kept harping on about them endlessly, and I figure that if PD didn't fix them, grouching wouldn't change things.

Still, when I play videogames anymore, even after buying some very good games, they're still in the shrinkwrap and I keep going back to GT5. And not to A-Spec Mode, online or the Special Events which I do mean to get to sometime. No, I set up races in Arcade Mode in which there are no prizes, no rewards, other than the racing and a good replay. And that's because all the complaining about the flaws in tire models and "lame" bot A.I. doesn't match my experience on the track, or when I watch a good replay.

GT5 really is an excellent racing game.

If it was utter crap, I'd share many poster's doubts about GT6. But it's not. The essence of a great racer is there intact if people would give it a chance and drop grudges. And Polyphony Digital has a legacy of very solid Gran Turismos.

A number of members here have made a point to remark that they have faith in Kaz to deliver a proper Gran Turismo this time, and I'm one of them, because it's really hard to quit playing this game.

One more thing; I did say "games." I have a feeling that even though Drive Club may not be my style of racer, it's going to be a good game.

GT5 really is an excellent racing game.

I wish I could give it such high marks, but I can't.
I do believe it had the potential to be an excellent racing game, but fell far too short on release, to recover.
Seems to be the same situation with more and more games now.

If it was utter crap, I'd share many poster's doubts about GT6. But it's not.

I agree, its not utter crap, just well below previous GT standards.

After the first few months or so, I had to make myself keep playing.
I never had to do that on a previous GT game.

As to faith in Kaz to deliver a proper GT?
I think its possible, but I'm not counting on it.
