Does anyone else feel like the star roulette tickets are rigged?

I have felt that way but I also won 1million credits on a 4 star so, it's balanced out for me.
Unbelievable, should have taken a pic. I watched a streamer get consistent 5k. He also had a 6 star which paid low too, forgot how much. I was disgusted with how low the payouts were. Now after watching recent reviews, they really want to milk the micro transactions.

It is rigged
For reference, it's not. Nor is it weighted towards any one particular outcome.

It is in fact pre-determined - as you can see by simply rebooting the game before it's had a chance to save the outcome and redeeming the ticket again. You will always get a specific reward from a specific ticket.

I suspect it runs in the exact same way that I figured GT Sport's roulette did - a giant list of numbers you just progressively amble through - only all the gaps in the list are filled in with piss-poor credit rewards instead of rolling over to the next valid CarID on the list.

Rigged? No.

Are some of the rewards possibly TOO rare? Yes.

Do the rewards need to be reassessed? Yes.

Should there be more ways to gain them other than daily workout? 100%

Honestly the main thing that annoys me is once you complete the menu's, you can only get 1 ticket a day. ONE!

I just did the Tokyo Expressway championship and I've still yet to get anything more than the lowest cash amount. I understand that it's way too chance and all that but constantly randomly getting the worst option is making me raise an eyebrow right now.
In GT Sport it is rigged. No doubt about that.
Where you could clearly see the strange deceleration of the roulette in the final stage until its stop, so that it wouldn't illuminate the reward it was "supposed" to give you, but rather skip it or abruptly stop before it.

Here I don't know, I don't play GT7 enough to notice.

Nope. That's also predetermined. You will always get the exact same car (and in fact the exact same four cars will show up on the roulette every time too) from any given spin.

Rigged? Not at all. Today, for example, I received a high lift camshaft for the BMW Safety Car! I’m over the moon! Now I know what Gene Haas must have felt following KMag’s P5 yesterday.

I got 500k a couple of times and a nice car. The other 99% of times was the lowest cash amount.

@Famine I know. It's an animation of a rigged roulette, just as some people have been saying.
It's not "rigged" unless someone gains an advantage from the outcome - and I don't know who that would be in this situation. The player certainly doesn't!

It's just a way of presenting a prize other than "you win x". Sure, it's a pisstake to show you loads of money and expensive car parts and then give you 2,000cr... but you were always getting 2,000cr with no chance of getting anything else.

I've learned to just pace myself, don't grind for hours and hours, miles and miles, unless you're racing online for run. But who does that amirite? Everyday, I try to all gold a set of missions. I'm going to get my daily workout, plus what ever I get from the missions. That's two, possibly, three cars a day. Yes, I understand I'm eventually going to hit a wall, but I'm not spending my money. By the time I gold all the missions...I'm not going to pretend I'm they guy that golds everything in my first attempt...I'll have a nice little nest egg. Tbh, unless the 70 GT-R and the S.S. Trueno they are Legendary cars, I don't really care for most of them. They don't really serve any purpose other than showing off how much grinding one has done.

Every roulette resulted in credits, in my particular case, including every 4 star ones, where you would have a 1/5 chance of getting the credits. The only exception being the three invitations, one for the Lamborghini Veneno, which isn't a priority at all, the Porsche Carrera GT, which can be won on the last menu and some Aston Martin.
So credits, and the only possible worst prize than credits, temporary invitations to cars I don't have the money to spent or don't which to spent.
Can't say it was always the worst credits amount, because it wasn't, most of the times it was but there were others it was better prizes than the lowest possible.

Someone elsewhere said that the tickets are pre-determined and that everything else on the screen is just filler.
Anecdotal, but one of the couple times that my game has frozen was shortly after doing a roulette, and I received the same thing after rebooting the console and doing it again.

Totally rigged, that said, after about 3 hours of gaming one night I had quite a few gifts to collect - maybe 4 or 5. I'm not sure which one was for what, but I got two gold bars back to back. What irritates me is when you get parts. Like, oh thanks, I really needed that 5k crank shaft for a car I don't own. At least on Sport I knew I was going to get a car every day. Yeah, probably one I already had, but still.

This is why I'm waiting till the last day to use mine, in hopes that maybe, possibly, they might give us a little something extra. Remotely. ;)

Sorry, I’m kinda dense. I’ve not missed a daily login bonus yet I have not been getting better than the worst prizes and at max 4-star tickets (usually 1-3 star). So by your theory, my streak of ‘bad luck’ will come to stop and I will be having more ‘luck’ later on then?

No you will ways get a sub optimal prize except in 5% of occasions.

I wonder if it depends on how much mileage you rack up the day before because some days I only did the bare minimum of ~50km and received 1* tickets but the days after I drove a lot I received better items :scared:

I've seen on Reddit some people have won 500,000Cr on the higher roulette tickets.
I've had 500k credits from four tickets now, and also a ticket that gave me a car that would have cost 1.3m and needed an invite to buy. I don't know if I've just been incredibly lucky.

Meh Ive already hit The Fugu Z, A Crown and a Supra Race car off roulette tickets. It’s possible to actually get cars. That’s why I pace myself to maximize the opportunities.

Totally rigged
Not rigged. Predetermined. You can test it yourself - I already told you how. You'll get the same reward from the same ticket every time.

I... don't know how you've arrived at that, but no. There's no "luck" involved.

Thoroughly tested and no. There's no apparent pattern right now - I've had 4-stars from 33 miles and 1-stars from 200 miles.

I quoted the wrong post, but earlier you mentioned a list that it’d go through. My thought was that by that you meant the rewards go through a list with pre-planned awards.

But, since some folks do seem to have somewhat better rewards, maybe they started on another line of that list.

I put “luck” between parenthesis, as there is indeed no such thing in this game.

On a side note since you’ve been testing for it - I’ve gotten a 1-star ticket out of a 3000+ Mile daily reward.

That is probably how it works, yes. GT Sport's "roulette" also probably worked that way. GT5's Used Car Dealer (and GT7's Used and Legends) also work that way.

That's also probably the case, but I suspect that 90% of the list is "lowest possible amount of money", so it won't really make a difference.

They definitely are rigged; I don't think that's up for debate. There are enough streamers and users here that have shared what they won to be able to deduce that the overwhelming majority of the time, the tickets give out the lowest prize shown in the roulette.

Me personally, I've gotten 4x 5k credits in a row from a range of 1 to 4 star tickets the past four days... I'm collector Level 42. A friend of mine who's level 50 (max) also got the same one star ticket giving him 5k credits.

The part I don't understand is, why are the odds of winning something of value so low, and why the developers set up the roulette to display fancier items when we know the prize is determined the moment you redeem the ticket? The tickets being so random and seemingly unrelated to Collector's Levels, it doesn't even push MTXs. It just feels spiteful for no discernable reason.

I've had 3 4-star spins give me the 5,000 in a row now. I laugh at it cos of its meme potential but seriously, it's a bit irritating.
Meme potential, you say?

I just had to whip this up 😅
