I'm watching AEW Dynamite right now! The former Goldust is against the former Alister Black. I'm sorry I haven't grasped most of the names yet. Elsewhere, I do hope Triple H will be okay.

Reigns v Balor for the Universal title has been made for Extreme Rules, Don't mind this as they had a good match last week and we got a hint of maybe Demon Balor after the match. looks like Reigns v Lesnar will be in Saudi.

I wonder how that's gonna come to be. Roman Reigns didn't do the last Saudi Arabia show due to personal issues with Saudi. Feels kinda odd to change his mind now.

If Reigns hasn't changed his mind, I could see Finn Balor beat Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules, lose to Lesnar at Saudi and then Reigns vs Lesnar at Survivor Series

Reigns will be missing when WWE comes to the UK in a couple of week for this first time since 2019, Usos won't make the trip over either but that might be because of their DUI's.

I could be wrong about the Saudi thing, it just seemed to be the logical choice for them to have the match there.

It does seem logical given the money WWE get from Saudi Arabia and it could still happen but Roman not wanting to do the last one does add a bit of uncertainty and having Balor be a transitional champion if Roman doesn't want to do it again is the likely alternative

I was wondering if Crown Jewel is the only WWE PPV in October, I just checked and it is.

If they are building Reigns v Lesnar is does make sense to have it at Jewel, because after that its Survivor Series when its Brand v Brand.

Seems the Saudi events aren't just add ons anymore and are actually filling in slots. Granted the alternative is likely Clash of Champions which is a wasted concept anyway.

Not all Survivor Series matches are brand v brand. In 2019 the NXT, WWE and Universal Championships were defended anyway with personal feuds. Again Saudi does make a lot of sense but all it takes is Reigns not wanting to do Saudi like he did last time to completely halt its progress.

EDIT: I am totally mistaken, it wasn't Reigns who didn't want to work Saudi last year, as he faced Corbin in a Steel Cage. So nevermind this whole argument

Pretty big Smackdown tonight from the Garden featuring Edge v Rollins and Lesnar making an appearance.

Reigns started off the show with his usual heel promo, Lesnar came out to a huge pop and had a stare down with Reigns, he then asked Heyman why he didn't tell Reigns he would be at Summerslam (!!) Lesnar then challenged Reigns for the title before an attempted attack from the Usos but Lesnar just hit them with Germans.

Later on in the show Usos defended the tag titles v Street Profits in the main event, it looked like Montez Ford had the win but reigns put him in the Guillotine causing the DQ, Then Reigns said he accepts Lesnar's challenge when he was done with Balor, Then right on cue Demon Finn turned up, with the lighting and the face paint and everything and it looked great, he had a stare-down with Reigns as the show went off air.

Else where Edge and Rollins had another banger of a match, perhaps surprisingly it was Rollins who won this time after a few super kicks to Edge and a stomp, Edge then did a stretcher job and left in an ambulance selling his surgically repaired neck, contract signing for the women's title segment was good with Becky saying more heel stuff.

Really good show in general, one criticism was the lack of women's wrestling, that's two weeks in a row now..

I found it funny that they censored half of the Reigns/Lesnar promo because everyone was chanting "You F🤬'd up!" to Heyman 😆

Apparently one of the things WWE tried to keep Daniel Bryan signed was giving him permission to work some dates with New Japan, including the G1 Climax.

Forgot to mention but I quite liked the 9/11 stuff on the show, it was the 20th anniversary of the attacks on Saturday, WWE actually put a Smackdown show live on Thursday 13th September 2001 just two days after the attacks and it was the first sporting event to take place in the days after the most devastating terrorists attacks ever seen, this might seem like an outlandish statement but I do believe that WWE played a big role in America's recovery because of that.

Also some of you may not know that Zelina Vega's father was in the north tower when the first plane hit on that day, he didn't survive. Vega was part of the anniversary ceremony at the New York memorial today.

Speaking of Vega, both her and Carmella were supposed to have a tag match on SD v Nox and Blackheart but it got cut due to timing which was a shame, also weren't Nox and Blackheart supposed to have a tag title match v Natalya and Tamina??

One final thing about Raw, there will be a WWE title match on Monday between Lashley and Orton, I swear I saw that there was a tag title match between Lashley and MVP v RK-Bro advertised on Raw last week not the WWE title match, Raw is just strange!

Vince just makes up Raw as he goes along.

I bet Raw goes through a script change every day

Samoa Joe has had to relinquish the NXT title due to injury.

The fact that they are making big changes to NXT starting this week makes me think this is Vince being Vince again, but if he is really injured then I wish him a speedy recovery.

They made Asuka relinquish with a fake injury so she could keep her streak to the main roster. Samoa Joe, could be similar but if not, hope for the best

If you want a reason for the WWE title match being on Raw tonight then how about the fact that Big E could be there! He has tweeted that he will and there are reported plans for him to cash in!

From what I have read the reason why they are doing this on Raw and not at Extreme Rules (for example) is that Raw is starting to lose out to AEW Dynamite in the ratings, specifically in the 18-48 demo.

Fatal Four Way match announced for the now vacant NXT title on the new show tomorrow. Ciampa, O Reilly, LA Knight and Pete Dunne taking part.

I really, really hope this isn't all just part of a setup for Roman to drop the blue belt to Lesnar, jump to Raw and then immediately take the WWE championship. It probably is, but I don't want Big E to be treated like that. (Also I think Lashley/Roman would be more interesting if done correctly, but good luck on that happening these days)

That said, hotshotting a main event belt is certainly an eyebrow raiser. I expect some folks at AEW will be taking notice of that too if it does come to pass.

Would Roman jump to Raw when Smackdown has Fox money and Smackdown needs to compete with AEW Rampage?

They obviously want Roman to have a main event belt and nobody cares about the blue one, so yeah, they would absolutely move him over there under the belief that Lesnar could carry Smackdown. Most likely Dynamite is being percieved as the "A" show and the larger threat, just like WWE keeps trying to present Raw as the more important of the brands.

Vince won't openly admit it, but the Monday Night Wars are looking like they're about to start again.

Relevant enough GIF for RAW

Nice moment and really great for Big E to be Champion.

Granted I don't like how narratively forced this is, I get WWE is under pressure from AEW but this just sounds like ratings grab with no real plan and Big E is going to pay for it long term. Hope I'm wrong but Nikki A.S.H was incredibly similar

Really happy for Big E, It does feel rushed but I don't care, it was a great moment and he deserves it.

There was a botched finish between Nikki ASH and Tamina, Nikki hit her with a Tornado DDT and the ref counted to three but Tamina kicked out but not in time, so Nikki has her hand raised but Tamina was actually announced as winner and her music played!

Thought Damien Priest and Jeff Hardy had a really good match for the US title.

A few musings of mine...

* Big E dun' done it. Awesome effort by Big E to take down Bobby Lashley last night.

* Doudrop is cute! I saw a video about Doudrop and have a lot of respect for her after watching a video about her. The Scottish wrestler also slapped around Eva Marie in her latest match. Or should I say, "Eva Marieeeeeeeeeeee!!!"

* I must say, I'm entertained seeing Nikki go from Nikki Cross to "Nikki A.S.H." She's always been cute (and a little weird), but I do like this superheroine. First hero/heroine in WWF/WWE since The Hurricane.

* I probably may not watch it, but I see "NXT 2.0" debuts tonight. And I've seen NXT as hope for budding talent to join the RAW and SmackDown! ranks. However, I tend to feel like RAW, SmackDown!, and NXT will be like NASCAR's top Touring Series- top-level competition with no real "feeder" system and as their own brands.

* So the WWE wants to shake things up again. October starts off the WWE Draft. I'd have to imagine which brand would pick up which wrestlers.

I did still enjoy RAW last night.

It's more I think Big E deserves better than just a nice moment as I fear this is just for a moment to grab some ratings from AEW for a bit and he'll be tossed aside for the next ratings grab

Note I'm very against moments that aren't strung together for a nice narrative and are just for a quick burst. Especially with Championships, someone's journey to the Main Event doesn't end when they win the Championship, they need to continue to push for some interesting narrative while being said Champion otherwise everything feels like a waste and their initial win becomes forgettable, doesn't even need to a long reign, just needs to keep the narrative intriguing (which is why in hindsight I don't mind The Miz WWE Title reign being so short even if he was a transitional champion because since was to set up Lashley). Less Nikki A.S.H and Zack Ryder IC titles please and pray Big E isn't another.
