Lynch v Belair for the Raw women's title on Raw tonight, after what happened on Smackdown the week after last don't be surprised if Belair wins the title so they can avoid Lynch v Charlotte at Survivor Series.
No... They want to be hated and throw the fans to AEW, it seems... 🙄

If that happens imagine being punished for the other person going off script
Job secured 🤣

Looks like a Kevin Owens heel turn is coming.

I'm for it, whether Heel or Face I think Kevin Owens does a wonderful job and has a flexible character that can play both parts, but man what a bad way it would be for an accident, taking advantage of a distraction you aren't apart of and the guy thinking you are a **** cause of it, to be what drives Owens to be Heel .

Best Raw for a while last night, some really good matches and interesting things happening.

As soon as I knew that the Raw women's title match was on first I knew Becky was going to retain, fantastic match though and they have some great chemistry, I have noticed Becky using some new moves in every match since she came back, slightly heel-ish finish from Lynch, really hope we see more of Lynch and Belair together as that was the second great match they've had, interesting later on when Lynch was giving a backstage promo that Liv Morgan squared up to her...

We had Big E v Kevin Owens in a first time ever singles match main event which was great and beforehand KO said he wanted to be face of the company whether it was three months or three years down the line which I think was a reference to his contract situation, Seth Rollins was involved in all this including the finish and we will have Rollins v Owens next week.

Finn Balor and Chad Gable had a really good match, Priest beat T-Bar in a great No DQ, non-title match. Priest choke-slamed T-Bar from the apron through the table outside the ring and before that T-Bar hit Priest with a kendo stick whilst he was trapped on the ropes, T-Bar is wearing less RETRIBUTION type attire each week and Priest has this new 'Don't make me crazy' persona, Randy Orton and Matt Riddle's entrance music's have been mashed together.

Ripley/ASH were beaten by Vega/Carmella in a non title match which was good and actually went more than 10 mins, Austin Theory beat Rey Mysterio via DQ aftert he ref caught Dominik slapping Theory, and I think that's basically it, there was no Survivor Series stuff which they need to do soon and that's on in a few weeks, great show though. đź‘Ť

NXT's Kyle O'Reilly's contract is up in December, so we could have a Undisputed Era reunion on another promotion just less than a year after WWE broke them up, which is nuts!

There have been more releases in WWE this week and its office and headquarters staff this time, most notably is that their vice president of creative services Stan Stanski has been released...and he had been with the company for 15 years! No one is safe....

One last bit of WWE news is that they have been back in the UK on another tour, it'll be Raw this week and Smackdown next week after the Friday show, Big E is defending his title every night against Lashley in a street fight also NXT's Tommaso Ciampa is defending his title v Bron Breakker every night too, and when SD comes to the UK it'll be Cesaro v Walter!

I'm actually surprised Nia Jax was released...

Harry Smith was unfortunate, he never did anything on his return

Keith Lee, Karrion Kross and Scarlett were such wasted potential. Vince really screwed up on them.

WHAT?! What the hell are they doing anymore? A few of these I can see but Lee? Kross? They just hired Davey Boy within the year, gave him one dark match, then nothing.

Franky Monet was only signed last summer, B-Fab of Hit Row only signed a contract last week!...

Don't even get me started on Lee, Kross and Scarlett!!!

WILL BE ALL ELITE! :P

Honestly, see this happening... Then Tony Khan buying WWE in a few years :P

Okay- that's messed up. I don't know what it is that gets people released, but that is an awful lot of talent to give up by the WWE. Come on now- Karrion Kross, Nia Jax, [fellow Texan] Keith "Bearcat" Lee, [another fellow Texan] Ember Moon, and even Eva Marie. If I'm AEW, Ring of Honor, or some other promotion; I'd capitalize on these names. I watch AEW from time to time. I'd have to imagine these talents would be better served elsewhere if they somehow don't fit into the WWE's product.

Hear me out, AEW will... Especially with the women, considering they currently are on the tournament for the women's championship and this is the exact spice they need

I just want to give a moment of silence for the WWE 2K22 developers.

This no doubt has put their development into further hell.

So many people on that list where WWE creative just plain dropped the ball with their development. Honestly I'm a bit surprised a few of them hadn't asked for their release long before now.

Because a certain game launched today, I might have to skip tonight's Smackdown :)

I'll either watch the YouTube highlights or the rerun over the weekend.

It seems some of the contributions to the firings is their vaccination status. With Nia Jax likely being one of those that aren't vaccinated

When I was poking around Twitter, I saw a number of thoughts people made about Triple H's moves with letting go of some much good talent. Some suggest Triple H is secretly trying to get released from WWE, and some others are suggesting Triple H starts his own promotion or maybe even partner with AEW. Be interesting to see what happens if these things actually materialize.

Nia Jax has since came out said she never told anyone her vaccination status, debunking that to be the reason.

According to her, she was on a break for her mental health and asked for an extension. She got no answer before her release.

WWE have randomly posted the Survivor Series teams on Twitter, both men's and women's.

Women's

Smackdown

Sasha Banks, Shayna Baszler, Shotzi, Natalya, Aliyah

Raw
Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Carmella, Zelina Vega

Men's

Smackdown

Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy, Xavier Woods, Sami Zayn, Happy Corbin

Raw
Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Rey & Dominik Mysterio

Rollins on the same team with three people he has feuded with lately is a little weird to me.

I like both women's teams.

I mean, it's pretty much the lowest effort way to get a feud started. Either they turn on him or he turns on them and costs their brand the match, and then you figure out the more interesting reason why they hate each other later on, when someone else in the writers' room finally cares enough to ask about it.

These are exactly my thoughts, unless WWE knows what they are doing (of course they don't), this is basically a wasted PPV... Something WWE has no reasons to do since AEW can easily splat them up with their next PPV...

Brand warfare! Where logic and storytelling die for a poorly done concept.
Brand Warfare is a neat idea but there is multiple problems.

1. It shouldn't be a once a year deal. The whole build up of Brand Warfare should be dream matchups between 2 guys we don't see in the ring together but because it happens every year, it's not special.

2. Draft every year happens too often for Brand Warfare to make any sort of matchups feel like a Dream, worse still since Draft has moved to October, it's too soon as well because how are we supposed to believe in Brand Loyalty? Everyone on Men's Team Raw was on Smackdown a month ago and Team Smackdown has 3 guys from Raw a month ago. It's very thrown without a second thought.

3. There is no GMs, so there is no personal conflicts between them either to get invested in.

Haven't seen all of Raw but I know Liv Morgan has won a future Raw women's title opportunity after winning a fatal five way.

Bobby Lashley has taken Dominik Mysterio's place on Team Raw at Survivor Series , he destroyed Mysterio with Dom having very little offence and Lashley could have won the match at least three times! I think they booked him to look strong after he lost to Goldberg a few weeks ago at Crown Jewel, MVP is back as well.

I've been thinking about this for a bit, I think I'll ask here. With the returns of Edge, CM Punk, and Shibata to the ring, who among the inactive wrestlers in the world would receive the greatest pop if they returned to wrestle again full time?

Who would be the most meaningful?

While I'm on a tangent, who from the past, living or not, would you drop into the modern scene?

Who would I drop into the modern era?

Get me late 80's-early 90's Lex Luger, before his departure to the WWF. Yeah he's not stellar in the ring at all by modern standards, but competent. Give him the right opponents and there's something fun there. Plus his theme at the time is a right bop:

Actually segues into me talking a bit about why I love Luger/Simmons from Halloween Havoc 1991 as much as I do: it's not much fancier than it needs to be, and the fancier bits there work entirely to the match's advantage. Simple competitive action to see who's the best at the moment, two styles that are both similar and yet different enough that just mix well, nice little side story as a bonus.
