In that fatal-five way Women's match on RAW, I can already imagine a new Bianca-Duodrop rivalry. In a way, Doudrop is right about other talent getting a chance at the RAW Women's Championship. I'm sure Bianca Belair and Doudrop could likely battle among themselves to see who could be No. 1 contender in the future. And... maybe heel Doudrop now?

AEW Full Gear ppv is this Saturday I don’t know if anyone is gonna come back or debut like Bryan Danelsion and Adam Cole did on the last PPV.

Roman Reigns just took Xavier Woods' crown, really good main event from them two spoiled by Usos pulling Woods out of the ring then attacking him to cause the DQ, Reigns bent the knee and Usos placed the drown on his head in the middle of the ring, and that's how Smackdown went off air.

Elsewhere Sami Zayn is off the Survivor Series team after he lost to Jeff Hardy in a loser leaves the team match, There was an excellent six woman tag match involving the women's Survivor Series team and Naomi, Aliyah looked good on her SD debut and picked up the pinfall win in a nice moment for her, however later backstage Sonya told her she is off the team!...

NXT's Von Wagner randomly appeared in a backstage bit involving Sami Zayn and Adam Pearce, Wagner didn't actually do anything though.

This is action Romans first Heel single loss. It was by DQ but hey that counts as Xavier Woods doing something no one has done yet.

On paper he's the most fitting for a title match now :sly:

Survivor Series is a weird one, the build up is just team swaps and people being forced out

With Kenny Omega Reign of Terror seemingly over, looks like I'll try harder to delve into AEW

Tomohiro Ishii wins the NEVER Openweight Championship for the record sixth time at NJPW's Battle in the Valley. He pinned Jay White who held the title since May 3.

So looking into the CM Punk vs. Eddie Kingston match and we'll, hype train has died and now AEW fans are somehow angry

Looking at the highlights, I don't get it. CM Punk played the crowd well and did heel tactics trying to get Eddie over as a baby face as he was the favourite. Even though Punk won, Eddie looked really good.

This helps solidify my stance on how much I hate "hype culture" and most wrestling fans wanting to be catered to it. It always falls flat on itself in the long term which I think is what has led WWE to where it is now. Hope AEW doesn't do it too much of I'm expecting something similar, learn from your rival. Like Heel Bryan said in 2018 "fickle".

Loss = Burial/not getting over, really needs to die. WWE I can get it because Vince McMahon doesn't long term plan except for Main Eventers and plans constantly change that you can't trust him, but not the other promotions.

Pretty good go home Raw show before Survivor Series, wasn't anything special though.

Perhaps the main news is that Rey Mysterio is off the Raw men's team, he lost to Bobby Lashley in a OK main event in which Lashley mostly dominated, after the match Adam Pearce came out and said Rey is off the team, Austin Theory then attacked Dominik from behind so Pearce said that Theory replaces Rey on Team Raw, Pearce definitely a heel now.

Survivor Series is this Sunday (yeah really!) and the build has been largely rubbish but last night we finally had some inter-brand stuff, Big E started the show off by warning Roman Reigns that he was coming for him after Reigns has basically ripped New Day apart in the last few weeks, Owens then came out to basically say that he has turned heel and whilst E was distracted The Usos attacked him from behind, this eventually led to a six man tag with E and RK-Bro v Usos and Rollins which was perfectly fine match.

Two more matches were made for Sunday before the show last night and both are the typical champion v champion matches, Raw tag champs RK-Bro v Smackdown tag champs The Usos and US Champ Damien Priest v IC champ Shinsuke Nakamura which sounds like a great match, Priest wasn't actually on Raw last night though.

Elsewhere Finn Balor and Kevin Owens had a pretty great match, Becky Lynch came out to give promo to loud cheers so that heel experiment went well!! Omos pretty much destroyed Dirty Dawgs in a tag match with Styles.

Cant think of much else that happened.

So Peacock is now available in the UK (and rest of Europe I'm assuming.) I have been watching WWE Network through my Xboxes for years so it will be interesting to see if I can still do that. Also I have seen and heard bad things about the Network on Peacock in the states.

Speaking of Ishii, he's wrestling on Dynamite tonight, teaming with Orange Cassidy v.s The Butcher and The Blade.

Isn't the deal they made, US specifically?

I have no idea if it is or it isn't I'm afraid.

The build is really heating up for Becky v Charlotte on Sunday, Becky has had a war of words with Ric Flair and she mentioned how her real-life friendship with Charlotte has deteriorated over the last few years in an interview, plus she said what happened backstage after that now infamous belt swap segment a few weeks back, things got heated and strong words were said and they had to be separated.

Today's edition of "WWE releases talents in the name of budget cuts despite near-record profitability":
  • John Morrison
  • Drake Maverick
  • Tegan Nox
  • Jaxson Ryker
  • Shane Thorne
  • All of Hit Row (Ashante Thee Adonis, Isaiah Swerve Scott, Top Dolla) literally less than two months after their drafting to SmackDown

John Morrison release is a very unfortunate Deja Vu.

Apparently getting attacked by The Miz causes him to be released...

What in the world is up with the WWE and its releases? Whatever happened to staying power in the WWE? What helps you to not get released by this company? No wonder AEW is slowly and surely poised to overtake the WWE. Or eventually will.

2K have probably already well programmed these wrestlers in and now have to scramble to get rid of them and retest everything

Wouldn't be surprised if they just removed the pointers in the code that makes them accessible and leave the data behind, as most developers do with cut content. And then charges to include them as "bonus DLC" if they get re-hired next year.

To answer all that: Vince is an insane dinosaur who has a small group of trusted people he listens to, Nick Khan being the newest and somehow able to actually convince him of different strategies.
To stay, you have to be willing and eager to accept everything they want to do, no matter how asinine it is, OR you you fit the physical profile Vince likes (tall, built, young, and lean).
If Vince and his cabal like you, you're made and don't have to worry because they will bend over backwards to do things that will keep you from leaving (insert Brock here.)
This is all oversimplified, but I'm also an idiot and this is what it looks and sounds like in my head. Allegedly, WWE is thinking AEW is like WCW 2, and will follow the same path of destruction. Also allegedly, they are releasing so many people in the hope that AEW chokes itself out of money sooner than later.

I wish I could just listen to entrance themes and not give WWE any attention, but that's as close as I get anymore. I hope all wrestling outside WWE gets a boost from their actions.

Heck, at this point AEW is slowly approaching a too large roster.

Hmm...Impact is doing solid as is...

...anyone know of another silly rich wrestling fan with media connections willing to invest heavily in MLW or create a company from scratch? With just the releases WWE did this year there's a good variety of talent to build around.

NWA is doing decent, there's still hope for RoH, NJPW and Strong seem to be on the upswing, The money won't be as good, but almost anywhere is an option. Sadly I don't have the money to start one myself.

I don't know what to say about the releases anymore, its seems to happen every other Thursday now, its obviously sad for the people who were released, Hit Row is the biggest surprise for me.

I said this in response to the previous set of releases and I'll say it again, WWE is very hard to like right now.

Toni Storm and Sheamus have been added to the Smackdown Survivor Series teams, Storm was announced last night (before the releases) and Sheamus won a really good fatal four way with Ridge Holland's help, he pinned Cesaro with Ricochet and Jinder Mahal also in the match.

The Bloodline destroyed all the KOTR stuff like the septer and the thrown in front of Xavier Woods after he said he didn't care about it and Usos attacked him when he tried to stop them and Reigns ripped the crown apart (it looked like it was made of paper!) I don't know if Woods is still 'King' Woods now sadly but it was a fun few weeks!! He did get some revenge when Big E appeared later on to confront and attack Reigns and Usos to build up the match on Sunday.

Sasha Banks and Shotzi had a good match and Shotzi looked really good in ring and a good heel, Sasha won with what looked like a modified cross-face. there were a couple of super-quick matches with Nakamura beating Angel Garza and Jeff Hardy beating Madcap Moss. More stuff involving Sonya and Naomi when the ref had a quick three count on Naomi which looked like Sonya's doing. A really interesting video package played for Xia Li...which is sadly had to take seriously as knowing WWE she'll get released...

A 25-man battle royal will take place this Sunday to commemorate the Rock's 25th anniversary of his WWE debut, its from both brands of course and the usual rabble are taking part.

Now Wrestle Kingdom 16 being three nights is only slightly less silly as the third night (1/8/2022, Yokohama) is being billed as a copromoted event with Pro Wrestling NOAH, the first time since 2007 and the first Wrestle Kingdom (but the 16th January 4 Tokyo Dome event) that the event has been officially cobranded with another promotion. Workers from other promotions have worked the event since then but as outsiders of sorts.

Here is the card for Survivor Series tonight.

Universal Champion Roman Reigns v WWE Champion Big E

I might not stay up to watch this one, I have had a bit of a long weekend and I have time to watch it in the morning.

Quite intrigued about Becky v Charlotte, I have started to think that the whole real-life beef that they have is a work though...

Kick-Off show is on, Priest v Nakamura has been moved to it, No other changes to the card or the Survivor Series teams.

Vince McMahon has showed up at Survivor Series and Facebook/Netflix are being the worst in terms of subtly.

Guess I sleep on Smackdown for the foreseeable future. Roman Reigns won't have any threats for his title until after Wrestlemania....

(Please don't suck this year Raw)

So with RK-Bro defeating The Usos. 2 matches left; Its Raw 4 to Smackdown 1 so Raw wins (again).
