Being a marketer... I honestly don't get the Survivor Series/Red Notice crossover ad... Just because The Rock is in it doesn't mean it will make a good crossover... Honestly, it would have been better to call The Rock's 20 years' movie career if they wanted to add something for his 25th anniversary instead of just ONE movie...

I get it's to promote his new film, but yeah...

Anyways, a solid win for Team RAW with 4-2 against Smackdown (5-2 if the Battle Royale counts)

Quite a surreal PPV.

The wrestling side of things was great, Becky v Charlotte was my match of the night it was really intense and hard-hitting and you couldn't take your eyes off it, there were some really stiff shots in there and at one point they were just slapping each other, slightly screwy finish but at least someone got their hand raised and Becky looking really emotional in her backstage interview with Sarah later on.

Main event was great as well, I was surprised that Big E pinned in the middle of the ring like that though. Both elimination matches were good but I though the men's was better, Jeff Hardy got a huge reaction when it was just him and Seth left so hopefully WWE take note of that and give him a push, crowd loudly booed Drew and Bobby getting both counted out and rightly so, Women's match was OK just a little messy and there were CM Punk and AEW chants at the start of it. The tag team match was pretty good and the opening match of the night went to a DQ when Priest got sick of Boogs playing his guitar ringside so he broke it in half and used on Boogs and Nakamura.

Then the weird stuff, Vince and the golden egg thing was bizarre and it made no sense to anyone who has seen Red Notice yet, sadly the egg thing will continue on Raw tonight, the battle royal was just an advert for Pizza Hut, Omos won and eliminated pretty much everyone but it was just pizza pizza pizza! Finally the whole night was also a tribute to the Rock....who wasn't even there...

They weren't keeping score during the show but if you include the pre-show match then Raw won 5-2, also a shoutout to Randy Orton who has now competed in the most PPV matches in WWE history overtaking Kane to move to 177, what a legend!

Apparently there was another scuffle with a fan and the Street Profits. It wasn't physical like the Rollins incident, but I guess the guy was bad mouthing them.

NY Police did arrest a 24-year old for attacking Rollins and WWE do plan on pressing charges which they absolutely should, Isn't this the third time he has been attacked by a fan now?

The other fan incident happened after the show in the dark match, during the show you may have seen a man in a blue shirt holding a sign that said 'Montez is Doo-Doo', well it was that guy and AFAIK he wasn't escorted out he was told to calm down after something happened with him and the Profits, Montez did tweet about the sign and it seemed to be good natured.

This just keeps getting wilder.

Sad George Costanza GIF

Is it the Seth Rollins YouTube account that comments on nearly every WWE YouTube video?. Might be too obvious

People should know if it's a legit account if they have a checkmark next to their name to show verification.

To this day, AEW is responsible for two giddy, hyped up reactions out of me.

Brodie squashing Cody for the TNT title (RIP Jon), warranting a legit "Oh 🤬 " from me.
And now the promo battle with MJF and Punk warranting a "Jesus Christ!" so emphatic, my voice cracked about three times.

You know, I'll admit. I really like Pat McAfee. A bit weird at times, but he's cool on commentary. Enjoy Friday Night SmackDown! (and AEW Rampage) tonight!

I barely watch wrestling these days but I've been keeping an eye on Punk's comeback just through highlights on Youtube. The "he's just a less famous Miz" remark had me stitches. Dear god, that was savage.

Last night Sami Zayn won a battle royal to become Roman Reigns next challenger, but then that was upstaged with the news that Brock Lesnar's suspension has been lifted and he will be on Smackdown next week, the change on Reigns and Heyman's faces from Zayn winning to Lesnar coming back was priceless!

The battle royal was good, it looked like Jeff Hardy had won but Zayn went through the middle rope and wasn't eliminated earlier on so everyone forgot about him, nothing much else happened last night to be honest.

Lesnar not the only legend returning this coming week as Edge returns to Raw on Monday, plus Big E v Kevin Owens and Balor v Rollins.

Betting Zayn will have to face Lesnar in a squash match when he comes back instead of Roman because he won’t be there.

So Raw last night was better than last week and we had some good back and forth promos and matches.

Firstly the big news is that before the show the first match for the Day 1 PPV was announced and it was going to be Big E v Seth Rollins for the WWE title (remember Rollins did win a ladder match to win a future WWE title shot) However last night main event was E vs Kevin Owens and if KO won he would be added to the match to make it a triple threat....I think you can see what's coming! Rollins was at ringside on comms for the match was was rooting for E so it still would be a one-on-one match, Owens attacked Seth to try and get him to retaliate so KO would win via DQ, it didn't happen the first time but it happened the second time, so Owens won via DQ so he is now added to the Day 1 match and Rollins was understandably livid afterwards.

We had a contract signing for Raw women's title which is next week between Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch, Morgan said that Becky's big greedy contract is the reason her friends are gone (Damn!) Becky still trying to be a heel and tried to get cheap heat by slagging off the local sports team, Later on there was a 10 women's tag team match with Team Liv (Liv, Bianca Belair, Ripley & ASH and Dana Brooke) versus Team Becky (Becky, Carmella & Zelina, Tamina and Doudrop) which was a great match, Liv picked up the win and Lynch tried to attack her after but Liv just hit her with the Ob-Liv-ion.

Edge came out to a great reaction and listed the names he could face next (Styles, Balor, Big E) but then was interrupted by the returning Miz! (with Maryse!) they had a great back and forth promo where Miz said he was disrespected by Edge getting all the publicity for his return where Miz was just didn't Edge said Miz was just more than people using his name for cheap heat on another show (Damn!) and Edge challenged Miz to a match there and then but miz just walked away, Looks like it will be Edge v Miz next, didn't see that one coming!

Speaking of seeing things coming AJ Styles claimed he was blinded by the fire extinguisher in the face last week and looked like he had a ball with the goofy stuff, Rollins had a good match with Balor but only went 8 mins with Rollins winning clean (Balor is jus drifting rn) there were two title matches with Damien Priest & RK-Bro both retaining, Austin Theory watched the show with Vince McMahon all night and Vince taught him about the element of surprise and to expect the unexpected so when they went to shake hands at the end Vince slapped him....

Bit with Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins was brilliant insight into both characters throughout the show.

That's what Raw needs. Overarching stories are great but each episode should have a self contained moment that starts and finishes throughout the show so we can still feel satisfied watching an episode while going through the overarching bits

NXT War Games is this weekend (Sunday I think) I haven't seen NXT in about a month, I do know that it'll be the first NXT War Games without Undisputed Era.

Roman Reigns v Brock Lesnar for the Universal title has been made for Day 1 on January 1st.

There were some shenanigans with Lesnar and Sami Zayn last night with Lesnar basically forcing Zayn to have his title match on the show and Lesnar would face the winner, Zayn did have a 'match' for the title but it was after Lesnar hit him with three German's and two F5's! Reigns then came out and used the Spear and Guillotine to win in around 20 seconds. Sami Zayn was great last night.

Usos v New Day for the tag titles (yet again!) at Day 1 has also been made, not much else happened last night TBH, we will finally have Naomi v Sonya Deville next week after Sonya slapped her and it was a proper slap as well!

Smackdown has gone downhill a bit in the last month or so, doesn't really have the must see factor it once had not so long ago.

Smackdown factor was lost ever since Daniel Bryan left if you ask me. Not to say Smackdown needed him but they haven't made anyone else look like they can beat Roman Reigns since he left so I just don't care.

Shinsuke hasn't defended his title, Women's division has been a mess since Bayley and Bianca feud was forced to be scrapped.

There were some good things last nightl ike Sasha Banks beating Shayna Baszler in good match which was given some time and Sheamus and Cesaro just battered each other for like 8 minutes until Sheamus won clean with a brogue kick in the middle of the ring, I do fear for Cesaro in the next set of releases.

There was some stupid stuff as well, this whole thing with Charlotte and Toni Storm I cant take seriously with all the guff about pies! And why didn't Storm just attack her last night rather than hit her with a pie?! Plus Viking Raiders and Los Lotharios only went two minutes and had a stupid finish.

So its PPV Sunday, Its WWE NXT War Games and here is the card.

NXT Tag Team Championship.
Imperium (c) v Kyle O'Reilly & Von Wagner

Hair vs Hair Match.
Duke Hudson v Cameron Grimes

NXT Cruiserweight Championship.
Roderick Strong (c) v Joe Gacy

Women's War Games Match.
Raquel Gonzalez, Io Shirai, Cora Jade & Kay Lee Ray v Toxic Attraction & Dakota Kai.

Men's War Games Match.
Tommaso Ciampa, Jonny Gargano, Pete Dunne & LA Knight v Carmelo Hayes, Bron Breakker, Tony D'Angelo & Grayson Waller.

Haven't seen NXT in a while but will watch tonight, Strong v Gacy for the cruiserweight title is interesting as Gacy is a bigger guy.

There are reports that it's Gargano's match on NXT, I don't know if his contract is up or if he is getting a move to the main roster, it will be Beth Phoenix's last show on commentary however.

This is the only WWE PPV/live event this month.

Heard its mental exhaustion for Jeff Hardy, really hope he is Okay.

Great War Games last night, Cora Jade was fantastic for someone that young, looks like Jonny Gargano is leaving.

I sometimes suffer from that. It's not fun.

Looks like that Bobby Lashley might be back in the WWE title picture, Big E won a good steel cage match over Kevin Owens by escaping the cage via the door, when they went to commercial after Lashley came out to attack Big E, Rollins and Owens. Lashley later said he was disrespected by not being in the title picture.

Becky Lynch retained her women's title in a great main event over Liv Morgan, she did the same thing she did at Survivor Series using the ropes in a roll-up for the win, Liv was great though and she'll get another chance I'm sure.

Edge v Miz has been made for Day 1 after Edge accepted Miz's challenge for a match at the PPV during Miz TV, a tournament has started to determine the number one contenders for RK-Bro's tag titles (called the bro-nament!) Street Profits beat AJ & Omos to progress and the seeds have been planted for AJ & Omos' break-up, The Mysterios beat Alpha Academy with Otis not even in the match it was over that quick, so Street Profits will face Mysterios next week.

Elsewhere Damien Preist beat Bobby Roode in his US title open challenge then was attacked by Ziggler afterwards, Austin Theory tried to impress Vince by showing his muscles and doing some star jumps (yes really!) then after that he went after Finn Balor.
