I don't think Brock as a face changes anything, he was already sort of Babyface back in early 2015 and it's not different. Brock champion character has only even been as a final boss battle and it wasn't ever a good one before but now its repetitive

I'm definitely the opposite of Owens and Rollins teaming up. It goes against everything before and are just paired up because Heels and nothing else (forgetting all the **** Rollins has done to Owens in the past few years and Owens stuff to Rollins beyond that). It's like the 2006 Royal Rumble when HHH and Orton teamed up on Rey Mysterio.

Bron Breakker is the new NXT Champion after beating Tommaso Ciampa last night, he celebrated with Rick Steiner in the ring afterwards.

Carmelo Hayes is now the Cruiserweight and North American champion after beating Roderick Strong in a unification match.

Its been another bad day of releases in WWE, not talent this time but coaches/trainers in NXT and various other behind the scenes people.

The biggest and most surprising is William Regal, an absolute legend in NXT (and in Wrestling in general!) both in front and behind the camera and one of the names that you would associate with the now older black-and-gold era of NXT was released, along with Road Dogg and Scott Armstrong.

Looks like WWE/Vince really is making this new era of the show new! By getting rid of the people who were involved in the older era, several wrestlers have taken to social media paying their tribute to Regal including the ones who are no longer with WWE themselves and Regal has been trending on Twitter for a few hours since the news broke.

Pardon my choice of words, but what the hell is going on with World Wrestling Entertainment lately? Things just seem a downward spiral lately. William Regal getting 86'ed is insane news.

Samoa Joe is gone again, new broke about an hour ago.

After yesterday this was probably coming, released twice in less than 12 months...Damn!

Stopped paying attention, so I assume the AEW, Impact deal is no more. If WWE not only are using an Impact star but even promoting her as that champion. Not even Sting got that luxury (his TNA title wins were counted overall though)

I'll admit, I did like the Paul Heyman bit admitting how much he misses Roman Reigns. This love triangle has more going on for it than most love triangles in real life.

I can see Brock losing the WWE Title to Lashley (or at least before Wrestlemania) and finishing what he started with Reigns. Either that or title unification.

EDIT: Now that I realised how many people were released, these grasping at straws, putting Charlotte Flair in it and even going after other companies makes sense.

Anyone notice that when Rollins knocked on the door he did it to the tune of the SHEILD them song?

Not just Mickie James surprisingly returning for the Rumble match but also returning are Lita, Summer Rae, Michelle McCool, Kelly Kelly and The Bella Twins, I have probably forgotten one or two!

The opening bit with Reigns Lesnar and Heyman was pretty good, felt like a love triangle!

And after Impact's Hard To Kill event, she's going into the match still champion.

Sasha Banks is out for 6-8 weeks with a foot injury, means she'll miss the rumble, the injury doesn't need surgery.

Raw tonight has a triple threat number one contenders match for the Raw women's title between Liv Morgan, Doudrop and Bianca Belair, there is also a Raw tag title match between RK-Bro and Alpha Academy.

I think Roman Reigns will be there tonight but I don't know if Lesnar is even advertised to be there.

There has been a few things on social media saying that the original plans for Day 1 was Seth Rollins winning the WWE title and Lesnar winning the Universal title.

Speaking of that. I'm now hearing there is going to be a World Title brand change to get us back to the original plan. Rollins to beat Reigns and bring the Universal Championship to Raw and Lesnar to retain and just have the WWE Championship Smackdown only

They better be careful if they go this route. They don't want people to think they're killing Reigns's momentum.

I hate that mindset that the main heel needs to be undefeated in title matches until he gets dethroned by the next upcoming baby face. They should be allowed to lose to pick up wins and be stronger later. I think Roman Reigns needs the title off him for a bit so I hope WWE go this route. Reigns momentum had pretty much halted since Daniel Bryan left because there's no reason to believe any of the opposition can beat him and is pretty much being carried by Paul Heyman selling this Lesnar feud as a love triangle right now.

I'm really liking this version of Brock Lesnar, I think its brilliant, Lashley said that he had been ducking him for twenty years but then Lesnar said he had no idea who he was until Day 1 and he then got Heyman to tell a knock knock joke.

'Knock knock
Who's there?
Bobby
Bobby who?!
Exactly' !!

There were a couple of surprises last night, first of which is that we have new Raw tag team champions, Alpha Academy beat RK-Bro which feels like it came out of nowhere! And Otis pinned Orton clean in the middle of the ring! I think a title change was right and Gable and Otis deserve it, Riddle v Orton at Mania now?!

Second surprise was Doudrop winning the triple threat and will now face Lynch for the title at RR, it was the main event and it was a really good with all three ladies putting on a show but Lynch was on commentary and got involved in the match by attacking Belair after she had hit the KOD on Morgan and looked like she would win, Drop picked up the scraps for the win.

Elsewhere there was a good Cutting Edge segment with Edge's wife Beth Phoenix as guest, Miz and Maryse would get involved but then Maryse just walked out on Miz at the end! Seth Rollins beat Big E in a great match in the middle of the show, Big E, Damien Priest and AJ Styles all declared themselves for the Rumble match. Styles and Austin Theory were have a good match until NXT Grayson Waller would get involved and caused a DQ, Styles will face Waller on NXT tonight. Alexa Bliss returned in a little segment where she was still in her crazy gimmick and having a therapy session but then destroyed the therapists office. Rhea Ripley and Nikki ASH have split after Nikki turned on Ripley by attacking her.

Really good show last night, nearly everything in it was build for Royal Rumble.

It seems the next WWE Saudi show will be on 19th Feb....and will feature an Elimination Chamber match.

Roman Reigns has just passed 500 days as Universal champ.
