Does Anyone Watch Wrestling? (WWE, AEW, TNA, NWA, etc)

It was also funny that during the Rollins/Styles segment, everyone was chanting Cody. Seth then responded with "rumors are a lot of fun, but rumors don't make moments"

Funny that it said April 4th for Veer's appearance but it didn't say what year!

The opening segment with Kevin Owens was brilliant.

If you watch the clip on YouTube, you can see people chanting. I saw one guy and looked like they were mouthing "Cody"

I don't think they would put recorded chants of him if they want to attempt to keep it a secret.

Granted it's kind of impossible to keep a secret given the circumstances, but that said I agree. It doesn't make sense to publically spoil it in that manner when it's such a high profile thing.

I wonder if thisll hurt WWE long term with this Cody Rhodes deal. AEW fans turned on him in his final few matches and Cody refused to turn heel.

I expect a pop on debut based entirely on hype alone then after getting his guaranteed titles the fans will turn on him again unless he turns heel

Triple H has officially called it and is done with in-ring action
Yep, he said so in an interview with EPSN, several wrestlers and wrestling journo's have been paying tribute to him since.

That Cardiac event he suffered sounded scary.

I'm glad Triple H is still with us, and it sounds like he's already back to work. I feel this is going to sound tacky, but it's not meant to be, whenever he has something major happen, it's never a mundane or standard thing, and yet the man keeps coming back as strong as he's able to be. The defibulator inplant is a near universal "You can't do the high stress things anymore" life changer...and yet, I have this feeling that some time soon, he'll be seen on WWE TV again because he already knows what he can and can't do.

So guys, its Wrestlemania week!

Its this Saturday and Sunday, NXT Takeover Stand And Deliver is also on the Saturday but obviously on a bit earlier, Hall Of Fame is Thursday and yesterday it was announced that the late Shad Gaspard will be the Warrior award this year.

One of the bad things coming out of Smackdown was the news of the Andre The Giant Battle Royale which will be on this Friday's Smackdown and not the Mania weekend (think it was the same last year though) taking part in the battle royale will be IC champions Finn Balor and his recent challenger Damien Priest! I don't think they will be even on the main Mania card...

Balor's the US Champ.

Ah crap so he is!

Ricochet is the IC champ, and he seems to be fighting with Garza and Carillo for some reason.

Tomorrow night's Raw is the final one before Mania and it will have something interesting to say the least!

Its a women's tag match and its Bianca Belair & Ronda Rousey v Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch....they've got Charlotte and Becky teaming up after what happened last year with that belt swap!

Ah yes, the WWE Championship is a Raw Championship, I totally forgot with Lesnar only showing up on Smackdown

I have no idea how they got Scott to accept that, wasn't he banned from WWE for a while??

You know that big women's tag match on Raw that I mentioned in my previous post? Well its not happening now, no idea why not but it was advertised last night but now its not...

I wonder if it is because of Flair backstage problems or just Vince scrunching the script again at the last minute

Hogan has fallen out of Vince's good graces many times, often for legitimate reasons, and he's been inducted twice. Past transgressions tend to be forgotten quickly when potential money and/or ratings are a factor, especially around Mania time.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if they keep him very far away from any microphones during the segment, though.

Seth Rollins had a meeting with Vince on Monday morning, he has a match at Mania on Sunday....unknown opponent which will only be revealed right before the match. And before you guys say its clearly Cody I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach that its going to be Shane...

It was because Rousey confirmed in a FB Gaming stream that the match wasn't going to happen. If it was, she wouldn't be in the stream in the first place :D

Wrestlemania 38 should just be called. Wrestlemania Who's, Who. With emphasis on the who.

Because who the **** is even wrestling

Wrestlemania 38: Now with 90% less wrestling and 200% more 90's nostalgia pops! Even we don't know who's going to show up but we bet they're going to be radical, dude! We might even just pre-empt the whole thing for a Saved By The Bell marathon and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference!

"AAAAAAHHHH WRASSAMANYA" -Vincent Kennedy McMahon-Dammit

Silliness aside though, this mostly seems to be the end result of not having to negotiate with cable and satellite companies to sell PPV time anymore. Live attendance isn't going to ever be an issue because Wrestlemania is something you can go to and just enjoy the experience even the actual matches all suck, and with the broadcast being basically pre-paid and on demand, they don't have to worry very much about locking themselves into a card to convince Comcast or DirecTV that the show will make enough to justify devoting airtime to it. Not exactly a bait and switch, but I can see them making more promises they aren't sure they can keep as this goes into the future.

I can't say that's an ideal situation for the fans, but since when has WWE ever factored that into their decision making?

Rollins opponent will be handpicked by Vince so that's why people are assuming it could be Shane.

Bobby Lashley returned from injury last night to challenge Omos at Mania and that match has been made, Bianca Belair cut lumps out of Becky Lynch's hair last night.

The irony of this thread existing this long... good idea tho OP! (I know lol)

OT: I never understood the appeal for WWE since I found it was all fake. But now, I've found the dumb fun in it, it's entertainment and drama, bit of a soap opera feel to it too! Guess I should watch more if I don't watch MAFS or love island UK

On Friday I will up a pretty big post on this thread as it will feature the NXT Takeover card for Saturday and both nights of Wrestlemania, it will take up a lot of time and effort so lots of likes will be appreciated. 👍 :sly:
