The closing segment of Smackdown was brilliant, Sami got a huge pop when he attacked Roman from behind and Roman v Sami for the title has been made for Elimination Chamber in Montreal on the 18th, the segment has been viewed over 16 million times across all platforms.

Jey Uso was absent last night which was purely storyline to sell the fact that he walked out on the Bloodline during the Sami/KO attack at the end of the Rumble show, will be interesting to see what happens next week as the Usos will defend the Smackdown tag titles against Strowman and Ricochet after they beat Imperium in the tournament final, Natalya has been added to the women's Chamber match after she won the the fatal four way match.

Two title changed hands on NXT Vengeance Day last night. Fallon Henley and Kiana James defeated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter to win the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship. Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) became the new NXT Tag Team Champions in a fatal-four way tag team match.

Raw was great last night and Elimination Chamber is set to be a big show, Edge & Beth Phoenix v Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley has been added after Edge and Beth challenged them, Beth then hit Dom with the Glam Slam!

Also Lashley v Lesnar looks set to be added to the show, Lesnar challenged Lashley to a match and told him to sign the contract and he hit Lashley with two F5's when he refused, Damien Priest and Montez Ford have been added to the US title chamber match after they won their qualifiers, Carmella won the fatal four way qualifier to be added to the women's chamber match, elsewhere the women's steel cage match between Becky and Bayley main evented the show with Lita surprisingly returning to help Becky to win, also there was a fantastic promo segment between Cody Rhodes and Paul Heyman, you really have to see it if you haven't, it was a masterclass.

Jerry Lawler has been rushed to hospital after a medical emergency which needed surgery, really hope he is okay.

Didn't think Smackdown was that great on Friday, mostly because of Madcap Moss winning the fatal four way match, I've got nothing against him but I'm not impressed with him, he just seems like a generic WWE wrestler, there's no way he will beat Gunther next Friday though.

The Bloodline stuff was good though and Heyman and Sami had a great promo segment, Jey Uso returned to help this brother retain the tag titles in a good match with Strowman and Ricochet.

Raw was pretty good last night, main event was a bit confusing but there was a great promo segment between Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn.

Didn't have a Barry Horowitz cameo on Impact in the year of our Lord 2023 on my wrestling bingo card. (even though I knew it was coming when the results for these tapings came out)

Here is the card for WWE Elimination Chamber tonight.

Bobby Lashley v Brock Lesnar

Edge & Beth Phoenix v Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley

Women's Elimination Chamber Match.
Raquel Rodriguez v Nikki Cross v Asuka v Liv Morgan v Carmella v Natalya
(Winner faces Bianca Belair for Raw women's title at Wrestlemania)

United States Championship-Elimination Chamber Match.
Austin Theory (c) v Seth 'Freakin' Rollins v Damien Priest v Jonny Gargano v Bronson Reed v Montez Ford

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Roman Reigns (c) v Sami Zayn

Only five matches but the two Chamber matches will take up the bulk of the show, cant watch it live tonight so will have to wait till I'm home from work.

I think the show was hot. The crowd made it so much more enjoyable. It's on par with Clash with the reactions.

Sure, there were minimal botches, but things happen.

Just seen the show.

Roman v Sami was brilliant and the crowd was incredible, the whole match was one big rollercoaster of emotions and both Roman and Sami were brilliant. Men's Elimination Chamber match was fantastic too in which Theory retained but Logan Paul attacked Seth and stomped him which will lead into their Mania match, Montez Ford put in a great performance and to me he is a future WWE Champion, really enjoyed the mixed tag match too.

However I did think the women's chamber match was a bit meh, it had some good moments but it was a bit average, Asuka was always going to win. Lesnar and Lashley went to a DQ with Lashley winning after Lesnar hit him with a low blow, Lesnar went on the rampage after hitting the ref with 3 F5's!

I mean if we're going movie parody for WM 39 promos, Seth Rollins as Joker is good. This would also have been a good starting point too, fits so well with him.

Great opening segment to start of Raw with Sami Zayn and Owens, Sami asked for KO's help to take down the Bloodline but Owens said that he hasn't forgiven Sami and that if he needed help then he should ask his buddy Jey Uso.

Also seems like we still aren't done with the whole Edge/Judgement Day thing after Balor cost Edge in his US title match with Theory and hit 3 coupe de grace on him, apparently it'll be a hell in a cell match between the two at mania, Becky Lynch and Lita v Damage CTRL for the tag title's is set for next week's Raw.

It's Wednesday, and you know what that means! Not to spoil, but there was a wicked title defense match just now between Orange Cassidy and Wheeler Yuta. I do watch AEW from time to time. Sometimes, I wished I watched it more often. Same with WWE NXT.

UPDATE Highlights I saw involved a fierce battle between Bryan Danielson and MJF, and then (as I heard) Jon Moxley got his 100th win in AEW. If it's true Moxley got 100, congrats to him! He was awesome as Dean Ambrose in WWE with The Shield and going solo, and he's awesome now as Jon Moxley.

Its been reported that Wrestlemania will have a smaller card with fewer matches this year, no battle royale has been planned, this is something of a new regime of course with Triple H in charge so he obviously wants quality over quantity.

Which is not exactly a bad thing, because Wrestlemania being an all-weekend, 10+ hour ordeal really has made it a big whatever the last couple years. Adding on that NXT has its own show before Mania proper and it really gets exhausting, especially when you end up with matches where nothing is actually resolved and it just feels pointless.

I think Vince in previous years just wanted to get everyone on the card and give them their 'moment'. But that did lead to sometimes having pointless matches and bad booking

Becky Lynch and Lita are new women's tag champs after beating Sky and Kai of Damage CTRL in last nights main event, Trish Stratus made an appearance to help them out.

Brock Lesnar v Omos has been made for Mania, Finn Balor issued a challenge to Edge for a match on the show, The Miz will host Mania, Logan Paul will appear next week to confront Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes and Chad Gable had a great match and Rhodes said he will be on Smackdown...as will Roman Reigns.

John Cena on Raw next week in Boston.

I found it refreshing to see a final finally change hands. You know- just a little chaos. Part of me says we'll probably see Damage Ctrl vs. Becky Lynch, Lita, and Trish Stratus at Wrestlemania.

Tonight is AEW Revolution. If you are going to see this on pay-per-view, enjoy AEW Revolution!

Really good Raw last night with main highlights being a great confrontation between Austin Theory and John Cena, that match has been made for Mania for the US title. Seth Rollins v Logan Paul also had a great confrontation and their match has also been made for Mania, they both exchanged some brutal barbs last night.

But last night was all about the Sami/KO/Bloodline storyline which really sucked you in emotionally, Sami faced Jimmy in the main event but the past few weeks has been about Jey and whether he is still with the Bloodline, the match started without Jey at ringside but he did show up eventually, however Sami managed to score a quick pin-fall victory and Jey actually hugged Sami after and it looked like he was aligning with Sami and he then super-kicked him and the Usos and Solo attacked Sami before Cody Rhodes made the save, interesting fact about all this is that it was also in Boston where Sami joined the Bloodline.

Trish Stratus, Lita & Becky Lynch v Damage CTRL has also been made for Mania, Vince McMahon was backstage last night in the Gorilla position but it's understood he was there just for Cena, he didn't give orders.

In Jey's tweet after the show showed the scene with the caption "Family First".

My thoughts is that he whispered something to Sami to make it look real to appease The Bloodline.

WWE Backlash will take place in Puerto Rico in May, its the first show there since 2005, Bad Bunny will host.

The news came after it was announced that the next Saudi show will also take place in May and will feature King & Queen Of The Ring as the tournaments return.
