Somehow a relief it's only sus business practices.
Update: Rossy was apparently leaving this month regardless of the poaching, with the intent to start another promotion.

No names attached officially, though Giulia may be there for a few months to help get things going before her probable WWE run. Depending on the other names attached and loyalty towards Rossy, could be a major blow to Stardom overall.

Edit 1: Tam Nakano is staying in Stardom, so at least one main name isn't gone

Edit 2:

General consensus of Rossy Ogawa is basically a less shady Paul Heyman in terms of business dealings and loyalty.

Only just heard about Scott being fired from TNA. Quite shocking with theories being they are trying to transition control back to Dixie Carter who still owns at least 5%.

Hope it doesnt knock off TNA the moment it started to pop off

Especially shocking considering that D'Amore was one of the people behind the scenes who really helped keep the ship steady and proving that TNA will likely survive a literal nuclear war at this point; that way, we can have some variety in our Mad Max future. :sly:

So that press conference is tonight, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

I have heard that matches will be announced for Mania during the event so its going to be really interesting to say the very least!

Yep, this is definitely a work.

I don't claim to be a fan, but good lord has the last week+ shot all my interest with a howitzer.

D'Amore being fired really dampened any hope I had for TNA, and it feels like a less immature Russo is leading the WWE writers.

The Rock slapped Cody though!

Roman said he wanted the Rock, Cody then officially challenged Roman at Mania, Cody said their ancestors would be ashamed, Rock took offense to this and said they had a problem before he slapped him and as Seth was there as well they all had to be separated, that's how it went off air, no matches made!

Crowd were wild for it throughout though, they were split down the middle.

EDIT: After the show Rock and Roman went up to Triple H and told him to fix it or they will!

Roman and Rock in a tag match at Mania perhaps?!

This storyline is baffling. Cody gives up on Roman after talking to The Rock deciding to not take Romans title at Mania, has now done a complete 180 and Roman now wants The Rock and The Rock is now hostile at Rhodes. Rhodes is probably going to come out and say he is playing 4D Chess but really, this storyline just got unnecessarily bloated, its awful.

Granted all my intrigue in the storyline is just to get rid of this stupid Bloodline storyline plaguing Smackdown for 3 years but now it's literally end it or what's the point there is no nuanse or fluent character work in this story.

Insult that Bayley and Iyo Sky werent here when Iyo Sky been having to carry Smackdown while the male champions are non existent and the Damage CTRL storyline is the only thing going for the brand.

What I think is that (in story), Cody was fed up with Rock gloating about how big the match would be and decided to just go in and take it.

Bayley and Iyo are confirmed to be headlining night 1 of 'Mania, so that's good at least. Was afraid that they'd end going with Roman/Rock on night 1 and Cody/Roman on night 2. I'm still heavily confused about how and why Rock is involved in the first place but the press conference was heavily entertaining.

Edit: I'm wrong. Bayley/Iyo isn't confirmed to headline but hopefully it will be. It's how it should go.

I do like Seth Rollins expressions throughout mocking the entire family tree gimmick The Rock was presenting while The Rock was more concerned with the fans respect for it .

Seth got away with it too, unlike Cody

Roman v Cody has been made official for Wrestlemania.

No idea what The Rock is there for, I can only think that since he appears to be aligning with Roman that maybe it will be a tag match with Roman and The Rock v Cody & Seth on night one. Tag match might be best option for 51 year old Rock.

Advertised stuff for Smackdown in a bit.

Triple H will be there to discuss what happened at the kick-off event
Bianca Belair v Minchin in a Elimination Chamber qualifier.
Bayley is scheduled to give a promo.
Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne v DIY-winners face Balor/Priest for the tag titles at Elimination Chamber.
Nick Aldis to reveal Logan Paul's next challenger for his US title.

Wait so the World Womens Championship Chamber qualifier is interbrand?

Guess since Becky Lynch is obviously winning, it doesnt matter

Yeah that's a bit confusing as I thought it was Raw only as well, I guess not.

I think Belair should face Jade Cargill at Mania, they had a great moment in the Rumble match.

I guess the Brand Split doesn't apply to the Elimination Chamber at all

My guess is that they really need to fill up time on Smackdown

There will be a Elimination Chamber match for the men in which the winner will face Seth Rollins for the WH title at Mania, we have already had two qualifying matches with Drew McIntyre beating AJ Styles and Randy Orton beating Sami Zayn in the main event. There will be two more qualifiers on Raw and another two on Smackdown next week.

Triple H started the show off by basically calling the Rock out on his behavior and saying that he is in charge and that the Rock should know his role, Paul Heyman later said that Roman and Rock will be back on Smackdown next week, they weren't there last night.

Bianca Belair beat Michin to qualify for the women's Chamber match, Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne beat DIY and will face Balor & Priest for the tag titles at the Chamber event. R-Truth appeared pretty briefly but still got the loudest pop of the night! It looked like Dakota Kai was going to turn on Bayley too but she helped her against IYO and the Kabuki Warriors.

Mood whiplash minor wrestling news:
  • Former 80's WWF talent Billy Jack Haynes has been arrested on the suspicion of murdering his wife
  • Meanwhile, Maryse managed to avoid a major health scare by catching pre-ovarian cancer growths before they could evolve (and with the aggression it was spreading, would've been a <1 year survival at full cancer stage)

Means Rock and Reigns will probably be on Smackdown the following week as well - as that is being taped following the live broadcast.

Some weirds entries & omissions for those Elimination Chamber qualifiers. Does look like an emergency backup plan after Punk's injury. At least that PPV is on at a reasonable time for UK viewers (thank you Australia).

Priest still has the MITB cash-in? Seems to have been completely forgotten recently.

Hopefully these new speed matches will be pirated online, I'm not going on X. A good way for some of the jobbers to get some exposure, I douby they're putting anyone major in them.

Elimination Chamber was probably always the plan, just CM Punk was the likely winner but now having to move that someone else

I dont think Priest was forgotten about, remember he was present during Seth Rollins last title defense against Jinder Mahal, its likely they are waiting until after Wrestlemania like Dolph Ziggler or Carmela

So there was a WWE teaser trailer last night during the Super Bowl, it was of course for Wrestlemania and it featured Rock, Roman, Cody and Seth, fueling the speculation that there will be a tag match between the four during the weekend but that hasn't be made official yet though. it was a great little trailer if you haven't seen it.

Advertised for Raw tonight.

LA Knight v Ivar-EC qualifier.
Liv Morgan v Zoey Stark-EC qualifier.
Bobby Lashley v Bronson Reed-EC qualifier.
R-Truth v JD McDonagh.
Jey Uso & New Day v Imperium.
