Does Anyone Watch Wrestling? (WWE, AEW, TNA, NWA, etc)

Raw was good last night, best match by far was Cesaro v Cena in the US title match, even Owens causing the DQ didn't spoil it, after taking out Lesnar last week Rollins rewarded J&J by buying them a $55k Cadillac and Kane a vacation to Hawaii, Jamie Noble was there and Rollins didn't aknowledge him getting three broken ribs by Lesnar (who wasn't there last night) he seemed to be in genuine pain, so the injury could well be legit.

So Battleground is still a few weeks away but there is an event on Saturday that the WWE are showing, its live from Japan, its not a PPV, they are just calling it 'Beast in the East', the matches include Kofi Kingston v Brock Lesnar, Owens v Finn Balor for the NXT title, a triple threat match for the Divas title and a few undercard tag and singles matches, its a three hour show but the WWE will only show two hours on the Network, they are also having some events in Singapore...

Finn is NXT champ!

I really have to watch more NXT but the Network is just so droll, all I end up doing is watching classic content and while I realize that's entirely the point of the Network – to watch what you want, whenever you want, and relive your favorite moments – it doesn't come across particularly well to me that I'd rather watch old content and reminisce on how good WWE used to be then to be excited about the new.

That's a story for another day though. The event was actually pretty great... I skipped out on the divas match because why bother, I skipped out on the "main event" because why bother, Neville v. Jericho was excellent, Brock v. Kofi was, well, it was a slaughterhouse with the rest of TND getting slaughtered as well , but the match of the night was absolutely Owens v. Balor.

So what about Lesnar v the Cadillac on Raw last night!

He properly messed it up, one of my favourite segments on Raw this year so far!

The main event between Cesaro and Cena was excellent, I also watched Beast In The East which I enjoyed, Owens and Balor tore the house down...

1. #pushcesaro
2. Lesnar hit a fan with part of the car door!

Fan needed to be checked over by a Paramedic but was fine and then returned to his/her seat to watch the rest of the show..

So the main highlight on Raw was Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Charlotte from NXT finally making their Raw debut (should have happened months ago!), it got a brilliant reaction from the crowd and the big people backstage were delighted with it, it was a good Raw overall last night with a great crowd, Cody Rhodes returned as Stardust for his first match since the passing of his father Dusty Rhodes.

It's been confirmed that Undertaker will be at Raw this Monday. Sources all over the Internet.
I'm wondering if that'll mean he'll have a match at Summerslam?

Kevin Owens is looking to be my favourite Wrestler in the WWE right now. I love his moves, and has a pretty interesting character. He might not win against Cena at Battleground but I do hope he performs well.

Unfortunately for me, since I checked the match card for the future Australia Tour soon. I'm pretty confident on who'll win the WWE World Heavyweight Title match at Battleground, which kinda sucks because I felt that not knowing who'll win would lead to something good. I won't spoil it for you guys though.

Gosh I hate it when I get no alerts from this thread.

There are also rumours that Sting and Undertaker will be at Summerslam.

Ryback wont defend the IC tomorrow night at Battleground due to injury, the title match has been pulled...

Battleground tonight, here's the card

Kick-off Show

Battle for the Crown

King Barrett v R-Truth

----------------------------------

Sheamus v Randy Orton

Roman Reigns v Bray Wyatt

Tag Team Championship
The Prime Time Players (c) v The New Day

United States Championship
John Cena (c) v Kevin Owens

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Seth Rollins (c) v Brock Lesnar

Just the five matches made right now, no Intercontinental title match as Ryback has a knee injury, it is rumoured that a match will take its place, no Divas match made yet either..

They can easily make an Ambrose match, not sure what they will do with the Divas tonight, if anything...

I don't think Ambrose'll get a match tonight , rather I think he'll interfere in Reigns / Wyatt one and get a feud with the Eater of Worlds ( again ! )

About Divas I hope they'll get a good match , everyone worse than that'll be waste of NXT women skills

From current card I only care for Owens vs Cena ||| , hopefully with the Wrestling Worst Nightmare winning and going to face Cesaro at Summerslam , and Rollins vs Lesnar with The Beast taking Rollins to Suplex City and ( likely ) Rollins unclean win ( Undertaker's return )

Just seen it, not sure what to make of the Cena/Owens finish even thought it was another great match they had, Divas Triple threat was great, no idea what to make of the ending to the main event, was shocked to see Undertaker for sure but don't know where that leaves the Summerslam Main event, Raw tonight should be interesting!!

Battleground was really good overall..

First decent Battleground.

I'd say Cena/Owens was the best match, however, I didn't really like how it ended :indiff:

I can't get any emotion out of Undertake and Brock Lesnars feud. I don't know why, but I'm kinda bored about it.

Because Undertaker isn't really an emotional type? Isn't that kinda the point, Takers pretty much just zero'd in on Brock after WM 2014 and thats it?

True but previous storylines, the deadmans lack of emotion actually brings out emotion, as I see it. Here, all I see is someone getting mad that somebody is bragging.

Though, I usually hate redemption/revenge storylines anyway, especially when it is only 1-2 months of buildup.

I'm also not feeling the Undertaker/Lesnar feud yet, I just feel that its been done and while I get the whole revenge thing the whole thing kinda feels stale, I am fully aware that they need two of their big names to sell Summerslam

Also just read online that Sting will be involved in the Reigns/Wyatt and Harper feud in the coming weeks and will tag with Reigns against The Wyatts at SS and not Ambrose as first teased last night on Raw, wouldn't it make more sense to have Ambrose and not Sting in the match

I'm kinda upset that it isn't Ambrose. :(

Yeah so am I TBH, why would Sting be/get involved in this??, it just doesn't make sense, Ambrose is a far more logical choice

If they want to bring Sting in as a full time guy then sure put him in the feud. If they're only going to use him once every 4 months then don't waste him on pointless matches and feuds.

Looks like it'll be some sort of Champion vs Champion match at SS between Rollins and Cena, I don't think there is anyone else to step up and challenge Rollins for the title, Orton Reigns and Ambrose have all had their chance and I cant think of anyone else, if they had Cena drop the US title to Owens then he could've had a World title match...

Been listening to Jim Ross's podcast this week, some interesting ideas he has to book the Undertaker at Wrestlemania next year...
