Raw was pretty good last night, the London crowd was fantastic, not a lot really happened but stipulations have been added to the US title match and the WWE WHC title match at Extreme Rules...

So I posted that the fans on the Raw show in London were fantastic, its a shame the ones at the Smackdown taping let the side down, some fans jumped the security barrier during a match and got in to the ring, one of which performed a rock bottom on another...

Taz has left TNA, his contract was due expire in the Summer but its was mutually terminated, lots of rumours as to why he has left ranging from not being paid what he is owed by TNA and falling out with Josh Mathews...

..Layla returned to in-ring action during the WWE tour after surgery, I like Layla she is a good wrestler..

Also the Big show and Roman Reigns are having a feud, didn't they already have one this year??

Another good Raw last night, one thing I neglected to say on my previous post is the situation with Daniel Bryan, in case you didn't know he was pulled from the latter part of their recent European tour after getting himself injured and he was hurting a lot, its not really known what the injury is as such but we should be reminded of the fact he has only got back from two surgeries (one on his neck and the other on his right shoulder) and it was suggested that he would never wrestle again at the time, as far as I know the match he has with Bad News Barrett for the IC title is still on but WWE will wait till the last minute to make any sort of decision on it, Bryan was not at Raw last night, the commentators briefly mentioned the situation on air...

I've been watching a lot of the legacy content as of late and, man, what kids are exposed to today just pales in comparison to even the original format for Raw when it was just an hour long. I just can't be bothered with what's being put on now.

On Monday I was watching a '98 episode of RAW in its entirety and didn't once feel a need to fast-forward through anything or want to change to something else because it was just interesting. The announcers were actually calling the match and weren't telling me about whatever nonsense trended on this day in 2014, or whatever completely unrelated babble session is going on about nothing at all, and it was just all-around compelling to watch (again).

I'll start paying attention again around Summerslam when Brock comes back.

So there is a PPV on tonight and it is called Extreme Rules and here is the card

Kick-off Show

WWE Tag Team Championship

Cesaro and Tyson Kidd (c) v The New Day

------------------------------------------------

Chicago Street Fight
Dean Ambrose v Luke Harper

'Kiss Me Arse' Match
Dolph Ziggler v Sheamus

WWE Divas Championship
Nikka Bella (c) v Naomi

Last Man Standing Match
Roman Reigns v Big Show

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Daniel Bryan (c) v Bad News Barrett

Russian Chain Match: United States Championship
John Cena (c) v Rusev

Steel Cage Match: WWE World Heavyweight Championship, RKO banned, Kane keeper of the gate
Seth Rollins (c) v Randy Orton

Not a bad card I suppose, the IC title match is still up in the air due to Daniel Bryan's injuries, apparently he is now in the Chicago area for the event..

Daniel Bryan cannot compete in tonight's PPV. Instead, Barrett well face Neville in a pre-show match.

So it wasn't brilliant last night but it wasn't terrible either...but it was pretty forgettable, some decent matches but nothing really stood out, Rollins was always going to retain because I hear they want to keep him champ until Summerslam, Russian Chain match was meh and I'm bewildered at the thought of them having another match together at Payback this time an 'I Quit' match (WHY?!?!), was surprised they didn't give the Divas Title to Naomi as she has had a little momentum since turning heel and Nikki has been champ for a while now, enjoyed the Last Man Standing match and the opener between Ambrose and Harper, tag title match was meh, liked the Kick-off show match between Barrett and Neville, I'm delighted for Neville so far he has looked fantastic and I'd like to see him in the MITB match at that PPV in the Summer....

The King Of The Ring is back this week, they are having the opening round matches on RAW tonight and the rest will be on a special show on the Network tomorrow night...

As some of you may know Verne Gagne sadly passed away last night, he was best known for being owner and promoter for American Wrestling Association (AWA) and built it up to become of the territories in the country in the 80's, the promotion suffered when Vince McMahon came along and started signing their talent, the company eventually folded in 1991, if it wasn't for Gagne there would be no Hulk Hogan, Nick Bockwinkel, 'Mean' Gene Okerlund, Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan, Adrian Adonis, Ken Patera, The Rockers, Scott Hall, Vader, The Nasty Boys, Jesse Ventura and many others

RIP Verne Gagne...

Raw was pretty excellent last night, the main event for Payback has changed, Ambrose and Rollins had a superb match!, and Sami Zayn made his Raw debut taking on Cena in his US Title open challenge in a really good match in which he injured his shoulder legitimately

There is a documentary showing on ESPN in the US tonight on the WWE, its behind the scenes and it has been worked on for the last few years, anyone know if it will be available to watch overseas?, like on the Network or whatever?, I would be very interested in watching it...

Watching Judgement Day 2000 right now. Awesome stuff. Extreme Rules 2015 compared to Judgement Day 2000 is like comparing Big Show to Hornswoggle in height.

On Raw Daniel Bryan announced his return date is indefinite and he therefore vacated the IC Title as "we" deserve a fighting champion.

I am a bit of a Daniel Bryan Fanboy, I think he is a technically gifted Wrestler who has had a great journey to get where he is right now and I love his attitude, he has had a pretty horrific 10 months or so with injury and I think everyone wants to see him back soon but I fear that wont happen, if he has to retire then he should just do it because continuing wont do his health any good whatsoever...but I would be pretty gutted to see him go!

Bryan is crocked. Twice in a year? Ouch.

Other news: David Cameron speech superimposed on Triple Hormone Growth heel promo.

After watching Rusev mocking John Cena by showing a video of him saying I Quit, the US Title match might end up either like John Cena vs The Miz back in 2011 at Over the Limit when Alex Riley bought a cellphone with a record of John Cena saying I Quit leading to the ref restarting the match or John Cena vs Batista at Over The Limit 2010 when Batista wanted an another rematch for the WWE Championship and he did but the end, not only he said I Quit but he was AAed to the steel floors.

Keep in mind Cena is 4-0 in I Quit matches. One against JBL back in No Mercy 2005, Second against Randy Orton back in Breaking Point 2009, Third against Batista back in Over The Limit 2010 and The Miz at OTL 2011.

How about when Cena starts locking in the STF on Rusev then he starts saying I Quit in Russian so the ref calls Lana for translation and then she translates I Quit.

Here's the card for Payback tonight...

Kick-off Show

Curtis Axel and Macho Mandow v The Ascension

The Bella Twins v Tamina and Naomi

Ryback v Bray Wyatt

King Barrett v Neville

Sheamus v Dolph Ziggler

2/3 Falls Match for the Tag Team Championship

The New Day (c) v Cesaro and Tyson Kidd

I Quit Match for the United States Championship

John Cena (c) v Rusev

Fatal Four Way Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Seth Rollins (c) v Randy Orton v Roman Reigns v Dean Ambrose
(if Rollins loses then Kane is fired)

Decent looking card, no match for the Intercontinental title, there will most probably be one in the Elimination Chamber in a few weeks...

Payback was really good last night I thought, the Tag Match and the main event were joint match of the night in my eyes, it was very predictable last night but the in-ring action was seriously good, Cena and Rusev tore each other apart, Ziggler needed 10 stitches on his head wound and its rumoured Ryback may have broke a rib after he took a splash from Wyatt from the ring apron...

....two matches announced for Elimination Chamber in two weeks and they are for the vacant IC title and the tag titles, both matches to take place in the Chamber....

Pretty solid Raw to follow up Payback. Kevin Owens made his debut, in the US Open, he didn't have a match but he made some pretty strong statements, then finished with a powerbomb to Cena and stamping on the US Title.

Raw was good, lots of news, we have our main event for Elimination Chamber in two weeks (although I don't think its sounds that good tbh), the tag team participants have been announced for their match in the Chamber as too have the participants for the IC Title match, Paige has returned, Rusev and Lana have officially split...and like @m8h3r has said Owens made his debut in the Cena US title open but didn't have the match....

Owens is challenging Cena for the title at Elimination Chamber. He is also facing Sami Zayn tonight on the NXT PPV so that could indicate the outcome of the US Title Match. I wouldn't really expect them to put the main title on an injured Zayn but if they're going with Owens as US Champ it would make sense to drop the developmental title.

The match at EC isn't for the US title though.....is it??...

Actually I'm not sure. I was told by a friend at work the match was made official and assumed it would be for the title.

Also really bad news for TNA, rumors that Discovery America had an "out clause" in their contract meaning they could cancel their TNA agreement was true, and they're doing just that. Been announced that they've officially cancelled it from September

I will watch NXT Unstoppable tomorrow so I refuse to watch the vids posted....despite being tempted!

I think its only reported that Destination America will drop TNA, its a shame if true, they have been very hard on TNA since it debuted on their station at the start of the year...
