Does Anyone Watch Wrestling? (WWE, AEW, TNA, NWA, etc)

What a terrible waste of Lesnar. Was I expecting him to win? I'd be lying if I said "No." Was I disappointed when he didn't? Not particularly because if he had the reason for him winning would have been just as obvious as HHH winning.

The problem is I don't think anyone wants to see Lesnar and The Wyatts. That's... actually a lie. I'd say no one wants to see that matchup now because there's really nothing invested in it. The only way this works is if he goes against Luke and then Bray.

Otherwise, just keep them away from each other.

So just seen it straight after work, I thought it was good overall, the only two things were bad was the tag match (just another generic New Day match) and Triple H winning the Rumble and the title, Lesnar being eliminated earlier than may expected was also a shock.

The opening match was match of the night for me (what a great match!), divas match and US title match were also good, loved the after-the-match seg at the end of the Divas match, thought the Rumble match was better than in recent year and was entertaining but I'm struggling to see the logic behind Triple H winning the title, so much can and will happen between now at WrestleMania though and it will be very interesting to see what happens next.

The crowd were pretty awesome last night too...

Most likely is The Rock. According to MLW, he was scheduled to be at the Rumble, but it's apparently been pushed back to Raw.

Another likely candidate is The Undertaker after footage emerged of him deadlifting an impressive 405 pounds like it was nothing. So he is rumored for a return.

Obviously Daniel Bryan is a chance, as is Randy Orton, but the above two seem the most likely. Unless they do a complete back flip and Big Poppa Pump/Scott Steiner comes out or even Goldberg. Highly, highly unlikely though.

Gives me a reason to watch Raw again, I guess.

And AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho is scheduled for tonight, so that should be good.

This needs to be a feud. For a first time match, ir was awesome. The tension was there, and the crowd is well and truly behind AJ Styles. They need to feud for the IC Title, it's too good of a rivalry not to capitalize on. Book them for more matches and I'll keep tuning in.

It was The Rock. In a very, very underwhelming second half of the segment. Started off well, woke the audience up, then went downhill towards the end as it became too predictable. I was expecting he announces he's gonna wrestle at Wrestlemania, and then he challenges the Undertaker, but I was wrong. I don't like The Rock as a wrestler, but he's the boost that the WWE seemingly needed.

This Wrestlemania looks to be disappointing, nothing going on to spark interest.

...and unlike Elimination Chamber and No Way Out which were really good at either setting up for Wrestlemania or hyping it as well as being on its own. Fastlane is just pointless filler like a Special Episode of Raw.

Are people starting to think that Dean Ambrose is getting a serious push here? Will we see a Wrestlemania VI moment where there is a title for title match?

I like Dean Ambrose but the main event of Fastlane just makes me groan.

What's worst is that it appears the WWEWHC is no longer going to be defended on February PPVs. Sure Triple H would retain his title for sure but at least we get to see what he is capable of and send a message (storytelling wise) to the participants in the No.1 Contender match.

I actually like the main event, Ambrose v Reigns should be good, still really don't like Triple H as champ.

Some rumours that WWE have banned the Styles Clash finishers as AJ hasn't used it yet and there have been injuries as a result of that move before but apparently they are building up to him finally using it, Michelle McCool used it before with a different name for it so I don't think its on the banned list.

Styles used the Styles Clash against Axle on SmackDown, so I think it's perfectly legal.

Ken
Hopefully nobody else gets hurt.
Most of injuries I've seen is from people breaking impact with their arms instead of their chest.

Wait so Styles is part of the main roster now? Honestly I was hoping that he'd get the Samoa Joe treatment and just be used on NXT. I mean the match against Y2J was great and all but I fear that's as best as it's going to get for him in terms of booking.

The reason why Samoa Joe is on NXT and not on the main roster when he signed was because Joe wanted to wrestle some indy dates, which NXT would allow him to do. The issue turned into a contractual dispute when Joe wanted to wrestle for Ring of Honor, which has just announced that it had gotten a weekly television show. Since WWE doesn't allow its talent to wrestle in another rival company (in NXT, you could wrestle all the indy dates that you want as long as it wasn't televised), Joe had to back out of the ROH dates that he committed to.

Because Joe backed out of the only thing standing in his way to the main roster, he is being fast tracked to the main roster.

It's been rumored that Joe will be making his mai roster debut after Wrestlemania.

In fact, I think NXT is going to be pilfered after that show.

Should have a week off from work in a few week and I will be setting aside a day to binge watch stuff on the Network, I've only watched 3/10 episodes of Breaking Ground, need to finish the Monday Night War (not literally of course!), catch up on NXT and check out Ride Along because it think it looks quite good.

Alberto Del Rio is currently carrying a lower back injury, and Brock Lesnar is advertised for tomorrow's RAW.

Watched some Network last night, caught up with NXT (I am not clicking that spoiler tag on this page!) and watched three episodes of Breaking Ground, didn't know that Carmella and Big Cass are in a relationship and are living together, and also didn't know that Nia Jax is The Rock's cousin, how many cousins does he have?!

Del rio is reportadly injured just like Barrett and Sheamus, so the LON is now just Rusev.

Also Tye dillinger aparently got injured last night too.

Nikki Bella had successful neck surgery this week, Its not known when she'll return, Cena has been back in the gym lifting 600+ pounds like its nothing!

I seriously hope Styles would be given at least a title push. At least the US/IC title would be good enough to see if Styles is good with a WWE title on his waist.

I wonder who would be a good tag team partner for Styles? His Air Paris run didn't last long on WCW due to well you know the rest but still, the short lived Air Paris run was a good one to showcase Styles' ability to fly.

The issue with live tours is when they are advertised with matches they completely spoil the main programming.

I knew Seth Rollins was going to retain the title at Battleground and Summerslam because he was advertised as the champion in the Australian Tour which came after.

and guess who is advertised as the champion for the European Tour

I do like one of the comments though "I'd rather see Triple H fight Scott Steiner 100 times over"

Though I admit it was obvious that it would happen even before this advertisement.

I just realised on the tweet above; the Fed says rumours are "running rampant" instead of "running wild". So subtle a disservice to eliminating Hulk freaking Hogan from history. The changing of history is one of that company's most egregious negatives.

Anyway, awful news about Bret Hart.

Bret Hart
I'd give the cancer's chances a 4/10

Kick its arse, Hitman.

Strowman vs 'Taker, people. I... I mean... Just...

Wat. I take back my previous statement; I'd prefer him face Lesnar now because at least then there's the entertainment value of him being thrown around by Lesnar. With the Undertaker... the dude is a certified 'ring general' and Strowman just doesn't have the wherewithal to put on a good match with him.

Just no.

Kalisto v Del Rio for the US Title made for Fast Lane, I don't mind another match between those two, its been a good little rivalry so far.
