quick question, would a 1990 toyota supra be considered a hatchback?

i think it is a fastback, buggymaster said it doesnt make a difference to him if its a fastback so i would say it is allowed. if you are still not sure, find another car that you feel would be allowed.

People.See my final entry for a true HATCHBACK!

Here is what a hatchback is:

A hatchback is a vehicle that has a trunk door that swings upwards vertically to open the rear. Most to all station wagons are hatchbacks, and cars like the VW Golf, the ford Focus and some others are also hatchbacks.READ MY FINAL ENTRY FOR A TRUE HATCHBACK!

it is a hatchback right? see my other post for my question and other examples of cars that could be hatchbacks depending on how you interpret the rules. i am wondering.
I didn't see "Final Entry" on there. ;)

If this is too 'fastback' for you, lemme know.

Honorable Mentions:

hatchback: an automobile the back of which consists of a hatch that opens upward; also : the back itself

hatch: a small door or opening

:) I think with the 240s and Supras, not to mention wagons, it should be fine.

but... fastback: an automobile with a roof having a long curving downward slope to the rear; also : the back of such an automobile

imnot trying to nitpick but comeon, how hard is it to just go out and get a small hatchback looking car and drift it :dunce: i dunno, i guess its personal prefrence

anyway i got my entry up on page 2 now

OK, so all the fastbacks are now not eligible? Feel free to let the others know as well if this is the case, but by your "clarification" several of us had assumed this was OK.

naw they're still "eligable". i guess im just more or less giving hints... that or venting :dopey:

but theres no sence changing things half way through ya know.

for the record (in case there is a dispute), fastbacks are definately different than hatchbacks.
examples:
hatchback - ford focus, honda civic, SEAT Ibiza Cupra (that only spanish car)
fastback - nissan 240sx, toyota supra (i think)

but anyways...
i think buggymaster specified earlier that he would allow fastbacks.

Good enough. I just wanted to be sure.

I know the difference between the two, I just wanted to point out that you said they were OK and the DO share similarities apart from the integration with the roofline. I won't even go into the wagons being considered hatchbacks or not. Let someone else stir that anthill if they so choose.
