Drag Racing at Gemma Solar? What is this magic?!

Like I mentioned before, the staggered timing starts that we had in GT5's rally challenges would work perfectly, it really wouldn't be that difficult to implement.

Failing that, just copy what Forza has done for years.

Obviously...

Seems you just want to find anything to critique in my posts.

@ryzno
What's your problem? that's the first time I reply to one of your posts! I just read it like you thought they were using the IMS for drag racing.

Well I guess we both misunderstood each other. My apologizes.

Peace, Love and Chicken:D

I have just one question about this...

Who on earth is Gemma Solar? :P
Well, my first google images result has led me to believe that this is Gemma Solar

No. Forza has dragging Ferraris and every other manufacturer in game.
Yeah they have it but it really is pretty much a joke. No false starts, no burnouts, no chance of missing a shift, blowing an engine and so on. Makes for a pretty lame experience that takes about 4 times longer to load and unload than it does to run the race.

For the most part I find drag racing in video games pretty boring, the best I have saw so far was NFS Pro Street where at least you had the false starts, possibility of blowing an engine, missing a shift, totaling your car and so on not to mention the wheelies. The burnouts were lame but important.

Real life drag racing is a whole other thing, I like it a lot IRL, I like to watch live on TV and I like to drive in them but on a video game especially one like Forza there is nothing there.

If GT ever adds it I hope they do better than Forza has else they may as well leave it out.

I would love this to somehow become a meme or something. No idea what exactly you would do with it. Imagine, though, if the woman in question came across this...

In all seriousness, I don't know why anyone expected the photomode location to be usable as a track. They've done this sort of thing before (Red Bull Hangar with the 787B and Audi R10 racing in a GT5 trailer, I think). I mean, there's a limited area you would actually be able to drive around. It's basically a straight road and that little dirt trail off to the side, which doesn't strike me as particularly useful.
