Drive Club PS+ Edition will be free game for PS+ subscribers, which means everyone who wants online multiplayer on PS4 will get DC for "free"

Yes but giving it that special name is worrying that they may remove some parts of it compared to the retail version. No other game on PS+ gets called a 'PS+ Edition', it's the retail version for free/rental.

I had that same thought.

Hopefully that gets cleared up this week. If it's severely gimped I will probably still buy the game. But I wasn't expecting any PS4 games on Plus for at least 6 months so that was a nice surprise even if it's a lite version of the game.

I'm guessing because DC will be the gateway into Plus, or legitimizing Plus' purchase, DC will be the top "selling" launch game for PS4. Kinda how Wii Sports was for Wii, IT WAS INCLUDED!!!

Yet you still struggle to find Wii sports for under a tenner...

Anyway on topic. The PS + title, if it's anything but the full version I'll be just buying the game. That's one of the reasons I was buying the console.

The track looks so good, even in poor quality video. I cant get a good feel on the physics because of the monkey behind the wheel, but it doesnt appear to be all about drifting, thankfully

EDIT: Notice the damage to the railing at 3:39

Some gameplay:

It looks fun. Not as arcade as I thought it would be. Maybe it is indeed similar to Forza Horizon.
But why is it that in most of the gameplay videos people seem to be playing with the directional buttons? It's weird. I imagined using the analogs would be more comfortable (at least it's for me).

Yep, this is still my feeling on this.

To me it's looking very much like Forza Horizon when it comes to setting and general gameplay but without all the childish, gharish festival bro stuff.

Which is a good thing, just to clarify.

Im just glad the boost for drift virus has not infected this game. Looks solid so far, but Im hoping theres more then just scrapes on the car after crashing. The track is pretty, but the layout is pretty dull. Feels like an awful street course, a bunch of straights connected by tight turns. Handling looks jittery with a controller, so Im sure there will be wheel support.

I want to hear about the livery editor and time/weather changes

edit: more gameplay by a pretty good driver. Does not look easy at all

edit2: looks like time of day is still there, but "weather" now means 'amount of clouds' with no real precipitation

Great videos. Some new things I learned

  • 5 camera views: bumper, bonnet, dash, cockpit, and rotatable 3rd person
  • You can flip over
  • Damage includes deformation, scratches, and smashed windows
  • Still a very early build so it will be much better

PlayStation E3 2013 Live Coverage - Day 2
Presentation with Col Rodgers talking about graphics and detalization
plus new game footage

not full :guilty:

Here's another interview revealing some more tidbits of info:

Sounds like there will be 12 cars on track and current wheels will be supported.👍
