This is pretty much the first time I've seen full fledged whinging and whining in the Driveclub section of GTP. It doesn't even have its own dedicated thread for such.
This area is just so chilled hence why I enjoy it.

Each to their own though, however you have to have justified claims for your own.

That aside, these EVO sprint challenges online are addicting and the fame payout if you get a good time is decent. Top 50 chaps :sly:

...

EDIT: Yeah, it's the Thrustmaster glitch patch.

Oh good. I hooked up my Thrustmaster T100 yesterday for the first time in a couple of months, and wondered why the hell I wasn't going anywhere even at full throttle.

Really? Pre-launch there were tons of discussion on Driveclub, a lot of it pretty negative.

Its the best FUN and for mee in general racing game in years on playstation witch a awsome car list pretty good sound nice tracks good support mega graphics and its just so fun and nice to drive. And i play since release!

Interestingly about the new tracks - I don't know if you ever play online, but I noticed recently that where the country flags appear in the pre-race menu, there is room for one more location...

Now maybe they had intended Italy to be in the original game but couldn't keep it in for whatever reason, but layouts tends to be designed specifically to suit the space available, also with such future additions in mind and so I have a feeling that we will (at some stage) get another location - maybe Italy, or maybe somewhere new.
.

I would welcome a new location, but it seems like Evo have had a set plan in place regarding the distribution of locations (Two in Europe, two in Asia and one each in the Americas) I always felt like this was the case, but I wouldn't mind Italy being included, the coniferous environments are starting to become homogenous.

You should be routing for Western Cape as a location :sly:

All I'm hearing is that if we get Italy then we are owed two more locations ;)

I doubt Evo would do that though. I don't work for them so I can't deduce anything from @MeanElf's evidence, even if another open space is anything to go by.

Chap.

I don't know if you've been to Knysna, but it's literally the perfect place for a South African set of tracks.

I came across a couple of random articles the other day saying that a dev had mentioned on a forum that there was something "related to tours and difficulty" coming up. The way the articles described it it sounded a little bit like something akin to a Championship mode in other racers, but that's likely just my misinterpretation what may or may not already have been a misinterpretation on their part.

... Can't find the articles again. They showed up in my related articles on Google Now a couple of days ago.

Wait... you're complaining about arcade physics in an arcade game? And complaining about dynamic AI (as if that's the only thing you can go up against)?

You're entitled to your opinion, but it kinda sucks.
No, I said that DC to me is a bad arcade game, a bad one, in comparison to for example mario kart which is a good one. Those guys have a lot of work to do to refine it imo

Well at least Driveclub's gameplay isn't as slow paced and boring like that 'other' game which, IMO, is far more terrible.
I dont take you seriously anymore after this

You have two choices, give it a decent go or try something else instead but you don't need to come on here whinging on at least 3 threads when you clearly lack the interest to fully understand the game. It's got depth but If it's not for you then fine find something that is. If you only scratch the surface you will never know what treasures lay beneath.
Decent try? Surface? Treasures? LOL

Sorry but no I wont approve bad games because of the great graphics.

I tried it for some hours and it was more than enough

Nor do I take you seriously after this below.

I think its wrong in so many levels I dont know where to start. Completely unrealistic handling yet not so easy to control, typical unrealistic, annoying arcade motion blur as if you were going at the speed of sound, the AI can ben annoying, crazy and sluggish at the same time, so its basically similar to the classic NFS but a bit worse IMO.

Seriously, what excatly were you expecting from a arcade racer? Oh brother...

Did you try the PS Plus version or the full game? Try some of the startline tour events, they offer quite a variety of events. I think once you finally fall in love with Driveclub like I did you'll be scared to admit how wrong your first "some hours" impressions were. :)

Project CARS has motion blur and a good sense of speed.

However after reading the previous comments, it can now be classified as an Arcade Racer. Blasphemy, I know...

/EndSarcasm

I have a question, with the Solo EVO challenges, does the fame you earn when the events end go towards your driver fame only, club or both?

On the online events I saw fame going to both. I'm fairly sure that all fame earned is a dual-way thing. Club points get boosted by doing club-orientated things and completing accolades in turn boosts that XP by a given percentage.

To be honest though, I'm not sure if the club XP gets boosted by twice, maybe it does if you are doing a club race challenge or club online race...I honestly can't say.

I don't think evo want this game feel like NFS because of the cars and the handling model. It is more of a simulator like forza horizon. The only thing this game need is a free roam and a private lobby and they are set.

Still a bit early in the month - more likely next week I'd say.

That sucks a bit, its been a month since there is any substantial release from DC, you would think they would at least update the standings on private lobbies and any additional DLC/new season pass.

You guys think there will be a Driveclub 2 or will they just expand and update the original game ala' Destiny/The Crew?

C'mon this Nixxxon kid is just trolling. He's driven a couple of hot hatches for a few miles, gone into a sulk because the AI kicked his butt and then instead of moving on to giving a different game a 5 minute chance to captivate his limited attention span he's decided to come onto a forum section full of people who generally love the game and tell them that it's terrible.Seriously,he's spent more time moaning about the game here than he probably spent playing it.I can understand when people come onto a Driveclub forum and say ' I'm struggling with the handling, any pointers' or ' this game is hard, can't seem to beat an event' ,but this guys 'hi,your game sucks' post is kinda like taking a **** in someones garden.

Well, the official season pass DLC has stopped now, the free cars last month were a bonus and I believe we'll be getting another car this month. They generally do have a pattern to info release - there will probably be a tease comment by Friday and a vid or something early next week, that is still mid-month. I think the update might have already happened under disguise of the Thrustmaster patch, as I've noticed since that precipitation under the dynamic setting has been toned back quite a bit - I even had no rain in one event. Anyway, the fun and speculation should resume soon.

The game will be a year old next month, so I'd say expect more info on what the future will bring on or around the 10th (of October.)

Before any type of sequel is announced, there'll probably be a ' Driveclub: Complete Edition' retail package. Although Evo's intent is to focus on the game as a service, there's no given amount of time to their support.
