Yeah, but at least several of them are of questionable quality. RIDE is okay in the handling department as far as I'm concerned, but clunky and slow menus, bland sounds and underwhelming tracks.
Motorcycle Club I haven't tried, but the ratings are dire.
Moto GP is not really my thing - I'm not a big fan of the racing superbikes, and the real world race tracks start looking rather bland once you've seen them a few thousand times in assorted racing games.
I enjoyed The Crew for a while - but almost exclusively for it's huge world, handling just doesn't feel great even for a pure arcade racer, and I guess that's quite likely to carry over to the bikes.

Agreed. The bike games out now are not very good or appealing. I have ride and it has fundamental handling flaws and the sounds kill it for me. Moto gp is not a street racing game. This is a dream come true. Hope they have decent handling like pgr4.

Okay, I'm ready to declare the bike expansion totally awesome!

I wouldn't say it's an absolutely must have unless you've at least occasionally enjoyed bikes in some of the meager and usually not all that impressive row of bike games over the years - or even in open world games like GTA5. But for me it's easily the best bike game experience since Tourist Trophy.

The more I play (finished the first major tour event and assorted time trials and unlocked the third bike) the more fun I'm having. The bikes feel incredibly alive and responsive, both races and time trials are fun (just like the main game, whereas time trials in some racing games are rather unexciting), and the sense of speed in cockpit view obviously fantastic. Sounds seem pretty good to me, but as mentioned earlier I know next to nothing about bikes so I can't vouch for their accuracy.

About my only complaint is that you can't get thrown off your bike and the only form of crashing is a very hard one followed by a fade and reset to track. But it's not a sim so it's forgivable and doesn't have any major impact on the fun.
Oh, and being able to race them along side cars - at least in single events (might be too hard to balance in tours) - would be fantastic. But I'm not holding my breath for that one.

Looking forward to unlocking more bikes and feeling and hearing the differences.

Hmmm. I can't seem to get DC Bikes. It's telling me the download is not available. :(

Are you sure you're looking at the right version? You need the one marked expansion if you already own DC. The standalone version will be shown as unavailable if you have the main game.

I feel really bummed-out that the big thing is bikes. This has been very anticlimactic for me as my interest in bikes peaks at zilch. For you bike fans it is fantastic and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did DRIVECLUB.

I just hope DC receives it's own additional DLC too.
I'm disappointed that it's not cars yet still really enjoying the bikes. All the tracks feel very different with a new racing line. I could tell you every car in order but not name a single bike, the gameplay is fun though!

I checked it in game, the one that said "download not avavilable". So does that mean I have to download the standalone version to get or... I don't know I'm so confused. :boggled:

Paul I'm not that into bikes last games were motogp and PGR but they sound awesome and meaty and handle pretty well, you can't get thrown off. Photo mode is great to capture them at speed..worth a shot at £11.99 I am glad I went for it even for a change from cars and the point to points thrashing them to the max for fun!...

If you already own DC, you can get it as an add-on. People who don't own DC but want a bike fix can get it as a standalone.

Don't know. I found it with a search in the shop. It was called DriveClub Bikes Expansion if I recall correctly. There was also one called DriveClub Bikes (the standalone I presume, but it was unavailable since I have the main game).

Thanks guys but I'll give it a miss. I watched Live from PlayStation broadcasts and I'm not feeling it. I will wait for the new cars Paul Rustchynsky said are on the way.

Enjoy!

Ahhh now I understand now. Thank you @AudiMan2011 and @Miths. I'll get it later tonight. :)

I'm still not sure whether to buy it or not. I'm not a motorcycle guy and was a bit disappointed, but I know most of the bikes in the dlc and they really are the best on market right now so I'm still somewhat curious to drive them. Would you still recommend to buy it? 15€ is not exactly cheap from my perspective.

I think of the Bike DLC in a similar vein to the bikes add-on for Burnout Paradise. Separate from the cars but with new events in the familiar locations. I say to at least give it half a chance.

As a fan from the first day i bought the expension i dont like bikes in general so i hope thats there is more to come iam a bid dissepointed.....

I can't download the bikes dlc because it says I have to delete my disc data first. Well, I did just that and got to play a bit and though it was decent enough. The problem is now I can't play the original DC because it says I have to purchase it.(this is because of me needing to delete my disc data) Does anyone know of a work around so I don't have to delete the bikes dlc to play my DC copy on disc?

I bought it because it meant new tour events. I personally don't care about bikes but events? Yes please.

Just need to get off NHL16 and Guitar Hero Live now!

You could try renewing your PS4 licenses in settings - for some reason, that apparently works in similar cases to yours. Otherwise it's contact the Sony store helpline.

Have you had fun driving bikes in at least a few previous games? If the answer is yes then I'd say it's a great buy - even if you otherwise don't care about or know much about bikes (I don't). They are so different from the cars (and particularly engrossing when you opt for cockpit view) that it feels like a very different game - and make the tracks almost feel like a new experience again.

If you've dabbled with bikes in other games and didn't care much for them or were indifferent, then DC Bikes won't win you over either and will probably feel like a waste of money. Even if it's in my opinion the most fun bike game (despite its small selection of only superbikes) since Tourist Trophy on the PS2.
