No problems here - general internet ones with Twitter today but DC and the PS Store have been fine, I even downloaded two DLC for different games yesterday without issues (FC4 and TLoU) Sorry.
Thanks Meanelf, I think Evolution just hate me. :(

As you haven't said anything before, I assume it's a recent problem? Maybe the Star Wars: Battlefront launch today has had an effect on the PS Store and it'll be fine later.

I've always had problems with it in-game, I'm not sure why...I still think there's something really weird going on with my Driveclub account or something ever since all my stars got took off me for some reason a while back.

Accessing the content from the PS-Store works absolutely fine, out of the game oddly.

Ah, yes - I remember you talking about that. I'd talk to the Store people then. There is the port forwarding and MTU options, but they'd probably take you through those ( and I'm not sure if the MTU issue would affect the store access.)

Good luck man.

Even though most developing games companies build up their products around DLCs nowadays (star wars batllefront costs 60$, dlc season pass costs 50$!!!), I must say Driveclub's season pass is a hell of a deal. The best season pass ever. The rest of the gamig industry should take what Evo is doing as an example of how extra content should be delivered.

I'd buy a 2nd season pass right away if there were one. But! I've skipped star wars and Batman AK mainly because of the dlc rip off on the other hand.

Star wars might be worth it, but Batman's was awful (as usual from rocksteady).

@VBR it's on sale now, announced yesterday.

also @Brend I too have the same slow ps store stuff.

I just finished the All Stars Tour. It was super easy. I mean, super super easy. I played it paying no attention and pretending I was drunk and I got all the stars in one go.

This, plus the "easy mode" for the original tours make me think if Evo is trying to get the game more acessible to a larger number of gamers. Driving games (as fighting games as well) always had this label as being hard.

I don't know. Maybe I am drunk. Lol

I'm very tempted, the only thing which had put me off at the original price was how the tour packs were quite short.
Eighteen tour packs of eleven events each for £20 (or was the season pass £25 originally?) Add on top of that the car packs made it already an incredible bargain - You can replay them of course, using other eligible cars, weaker ones that will make it more of a challenge.

Sorry, I can't by any stretch of the imagination see the DLC as not being worth the original price, let alone a fiver ;)

For 5 pounds u won't find alot better gaming deals

That's absolutely true, but I've not even finished all the driving events that come with the standard game yet. I desperately want to play DC with my wheel.

It is still a easy "pick up and play" game with a wheel but drifting is more difficult with a wheel.

After 13 years of playing with FFB wheels, playing with a controller just doesn't do it for me anymore, I really can't go back, & it's not as if I haven't tried.

I've been playing with wheels for a long time too, and I was able to adapt to the DS4 handling just fine without moaning, it's sims I can't go back to playing with a pad for, although Forza is bearable.

Hi chaps, could someone please explain to me about the difference between the different DriveClub games? I bought the game on disc and I have the full game, I believe? Or is this not the full game? Is there also a free version of DriveClub that is different from the full game?

Also, should I buy the season pass DLC? It's half price on PS Store? It gives 38 new cars. Does this then bring me fully up to date on all of the DLC to date?

Sorry I'm a bit thick! I am new to DriveClub -absolutely love it!

Thank you all.

There was a "free" PS Plus version, which was basically a large demo. This no longer exists. What you have, is the base game. The season pass, which I, and probably most other people on here, would heavily recommend that you buy, includes all the since then released cars and tour packs. Then there is Driveclub Bikes, which is a seperate add on that can also be bought as a standalone game.

So in short, there are three things you must get in order to get everything the game has to offer.

Driveclub
Driveclub season pass
Driveclub Bikes

The season pass adds a lot of really great cars, and enough tours to keep you busy for a very long time. The Bikes add on is really good too, and offers a very different type of gameplay.

The season pass is an absolute bargain and cannot be highly recommended enough, you will not be disappointed as everyone on here will attest to :) and glad you're enjoying what is, in my opinion, the greatest racer out there

If you love driveclub, the season pass for a fiver is a no brainer, I'm the most stingy gamer out there and bought it the second it was announced.

Edit: Team Driveclub avatar :D

The free version is the ps plus version which is like the demo but a bit different. The disc is the full game. Season pass is a no brainer. It would let you buy all of the DLC except for the recent DLC for a very low price. So getting it half off is the real deal.

Many thanks gents, very useful feedback from each of you, I will buy it.

I love the DriiveClub game but for me the graphics are still not as good as in Gran Turismo 6, I just feel that the graphics on DriveClub lack the clarity of the graphics in GT6. For a next gen console it seems strange that the graphics could not be as good as last gen. Do you guys feel the same way?

Thanks a lot chaps

I hate to say it like this, but objectively speaking, Driveclub has better graphics than Gran Turismo 6 in every single way. It's more true to life, the rain in Driveclub actually looks like rain, and obviously, the overall increase in resolution and fidelity, means that Driveclub is much better at actually showing all the little details of the cars.

I honestly can't fathom how anyone could consider the graphics in any current GT game to be superior to that of Driveclub. Of course one might like the visual style of GT more, but from a photo realism standpoint, Driveclub is the very clear winner.

I haven't actually played GT6 (sold my last PS3 almost three years ago) but claiming that a PS3 game should be able to come even remotely close to looking as good as - let alone better than - the one of the absolute best looking and most realistic looking racing games ever (personally I'd argue THE most realistic looking racing game, even including assorted PC sims at the highest settings), obviously sounds extremely far fetched.

The best I could do was check out some HD YouTube videos of GT6, and while they obviously don't completely represent the full uncompressed image, I'm still inclined to ask what you've been drinking or smoking? :)

Like Jawehawk said, it's certainly quite reasonable if you prefer the visual style of GT6, but there's no way in hell I'd ever concede it comes nowhere close to DriveClub in graphical fidelity.
I suspect that's likely to be the case for most racing games in the next several years. Obviously a powerful PC has the horsepower to easily handle a better looking game, but nearly all PC exclusive racing games are sims from smaller studios without the resources to pour that much time and money into graphics.

DriveClub just outakes GT6 any day when you talk about the in-game graphics.

The only thing is that GT6 also had an amazing Photo Mode. Even now, I'm surprise about how great those photos look. The "super HD" mode which gives you pictures twice the size of the one made in DC is also a thing. Nevertheless, DC is still better especially in textures, lighting, reflections and details.

That said, I still think it would be stupid to compare both of them as they are not the same generation of game and the consoles that runs them don't offer the same capabilities. It's like when GT6 was compared to Forza 5 a few years ago... Stupid.

DC is awesome but GT6 was doing well for its generation at the time.

Having come from playing GT6 regularly (mostly for the photo mode after completing the career) before moving over to Driveclub, I must say that graphically DC has always been superior. As an example, consider the 3D modelled environments and objects, the plethora of moving items with their dynamic interaction to the weather settings which make every event alive and subtly different each time. In GT6 the graphics (in most other cases) and weather plus lighting were superb, but taking a photo mode shot was always more of a trial in GT6 due to the 2D background details of the spectators and roadside trees. Okay, DC's spectators aren't perfect, but I have personally had less shots spoiled by them than with GT6 or 5.

In view of the above comments let me ask what type of TV you are viewing the game from @MCFerocious ?

I would think the TV would have to be a HD one since the PS4 only has HDMI out. I have been occupied with fallout for the last few weeks and I haven't touched DC at all. Its a good thing I think as having a break stops it getting repetitive and then in a few weeks just cause 3 will be eating my time up lol.

Question guys. I started playing DriveClub last week, I'm at ~400 stars atm. If anyone has a spot in a club I might get some points, as I'm aiming to get all stars in tours + later in bikes. ;)
