I suppose you could class the F40, F50, XJ220 and Diablo as classic but that's about it. Not in the same terms as something like a Miura, E-Type, 512BB, Cobra etc.

I definitely would. That said, I'd also love some more. The sad thing is when they take an icon and remove part of its souls to make it more competitive with the class it is in. Lke the F40, and the absence of its turbo lag.

A Ferrari 512 would make me drool, but more than anything, I want a standard McLaren F1. The LM is cool and all, but I prefer the original.

That is something I've been pondering ever since the game was released. It's great that they stuck to a certain style of car - mainly supercars of the last couple of years, that is. That way, you don't get spread too thin as happened in Project Cars or Forza 5.

But at the same time we miss out on most of the real icons of car history. I can't stop thinking about how amazing a 512BB, an 1977 V8 Vantage, E-Type, Miura or 1978 M1 would look and feel in DriveClub.

I just saw this on Twitter, It takes 4-6 weeks to create and build/Draw a car in to Drive Club..I did actually think it took longer maybe 8-12 weeks , but I guess there is the Handling & driving of it where someone goes to the track, Sound and Audio, Green screen laser scanning and all the artwork filled in, Interior detail, replay & photomode, rain, lighting and now probably VR detail. I read somewhere they scan down to 2-3 mm accuracy in real life detail, then somehow (by witchcraft) it fits in the DC Tracks/World and Tours for all of us to drive! :ill: I wonder how many people though they have working for 4-6 weeks to get the car ready in time. ?

Before the inevitable "Durr why does PD take 4-6 years to model one car for Gran Turismo heh heh" comment, PD has one employee work on one car, because that's their business practice and apparently a Japanese culture thing as well. With EVO, they have multiple people per car to get it done faster.

Didn't they say that it took 7 months apparently?

They did, but that was back 18 months ago and things might have changed a lot since.

Interesting...... I have 3 words for that: Subaru & Mitsubishi :P

But @Dan, it could be the same for PD in that it's quicker for them to churn out cars now. For example, that Hudson Race Car was done unusually quick. Plus, Forza too lately has been churning out cars like no one's business.

Coming back to what @MeanElf said, it does make sense. The laser scanning, production software, real life tools etc makes the process quicker, and in my view easier.

Aaaand I'm back on Driveclub after a full month that has been about nothing but Pokémon and Trackmania. And oh lordy lord, just like with Forza Motorsport 6, I've rediscovered my genuine, heartfelt love for this game - the cool and sleek style, the no-BS gameplay, the awesome graphics, the extreme competitive value... I've done a few races on both the cars and the bikes, and I also did the Elite Level 24 challenge (Nilgiri Hills w/ AMG GT3). Now I can't wait till it's Easter so I can get the DLCs! Regera & Skyline here I come. :dopey:

Interesting thing I thought I'd share.

So my 2 month old nephew was around yesterday and I decided to jam some Driveclub with the home theater cranked up just a little bit. So I cradled him with one arm in a comfy position then I started to play. I wasn't playing any music this time and used the Skyline in interior view. Japan at night of course.

Now get this, my nephew loves riding in the car in his baby seat, to the point where he almost falls asleep or at times expresses excitement by the usual 2 month old baby noises.

When I had the Skyline in interior view for a few of my runs, he was so relaxed, to the point where he nearly nodded off and got excited by the by the noises from the Skyline. I used the Civic Type R and he was so focused as if he was driving the car.

I guess the sounds in DC are so good that even a baby was entranced by them.

Now I know what to do to calm him when he gets fretful

Can't wait to try the xj220 and comparing the one:1 to the regera tomarrow. I think the regera might beat it.

It's just a strange name to give it if it isn't the last one. However you may be right, as there is now an odd number of tours, albeit without a blank 'Coming Soon' banner.

The event names send a similar message :(

Time Splitter
The Long Goodbye
Classic Winter Course
Cut to the Chase
Clocking Off
Finish Line Trophy

Nice additions - All downloaded and available 👍 (EU) not sure if US has them yet?
They were actually available from around 01:00 today in the EU - I would have put some pictures up at the time if I could have strung a coherent run together :)

I really like the Jag, It feels and drives exactly like a "could have been better" hypercar and has a raw old school turbocharged sound (dat blowoff valve ).
As I expected the Regera is blistering fast but also blistering boring due to its unique gearing, I like its looks and sound and I respect Koenigsegg for trying a different approach, but I still prefer more conventional cars.

Does anyone else think "no soul" when it comes to Koenigsegg? Don't get me wrong-
I'm sure Christian von Koenigsegg is an amazing pioneer and engineer and his cars are built to the highest standard but I would take a LaFerrari or 918 Spyder any day over a One:1 or Agera. Ferrari and Porsche scream 'passion' 'soul' 'history' etc. Koenigsegg screams speed and boredom.....

No.

Passion is probably the first thing I think about when I think of Koenigsegg, along with speed and innovation. I mean, look at the Regera.

It's the same with Pagani. CvK and Horatio Pagani are some of the most passionate car makers out there. It's like they go hand in hand with each other. Yes, they have no motorsport history and are still relatively new to the car scene, but they came from nothing to then solidify a place in supercar history. To me, that is amazing.

I'm in a similar boat to be honest, Koenigsegg don't excite me in the slightest. I will buy this pack for the XJ220.

How is the difficulty in the events across the car and bike pack?

If we are talking about the manufacturer as a whole then no. I think that only a passionate man could/would go that far and build something that good. If you are talking about the Regera in particular then yes, I agree. With its single gear It behaves like an electric car and that's something I'll never accept as far as I'm concerned.
