weather looks amazing! best ive ever seen in a game! it is kind of weird though that they are saying it is coming post launch in a patch, considering the release date is still 3 months away and it looks effectively finished.

Rain gameplay looks incredible, no doubt. My anticipation tends to diminish after a game gets delayed but if anything I'm more excited for Driveclub now than I've ever been. It seems as though that extra year of work might be very kind to it.

I have to say Evolution have really done well with DC. Thier engine is great.

That weather looks stunning and really looks like rain. FH just looked a little dated compared, I guess it has to contend with more though being open world and the like.

Forza Horizon 2 looks like much less of a step up from the original than I'd expect from a next-gen title. I'm more excited for the 360 version because of who's developing it. Sumo Digital is one of the only studios that still understands how to make an arcade racer these days.

Not even close to be honest, Horizon's strongest points are the freedom and car meets. Graphics wise DC is on another level on the more powerful console.
Well, the PS4 isn't that much more powerful than the Xbox One, so that really isn't much of a difference. It comes down to DC having very few cars on the track, closed in world, lack of physic, tuner and livery. Not much else left other than to polish the cars up. FH2, being open world, is able to do all that, including dynamic weather, lighting and night day just like DC. Not to mention Forza physics, with a much longer campaign, more events and better online.

I am getting both, so it's not like I will miss out :)

Pretty big difference actually.

It doesn't even come close, if something is starting to look more and more like P-Cars in ultra settings, which is quite a thing for a console game (considering everything, though the clouds and lighting help a lot), FH2 doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look breathtaking either.

Not only is it small (as developers have stated numerous times), it's even less of a difference than last gen. That is good news for gamers though.

We haven't seen anything that looks like p-car in ultra settings on the PS4 (nor X1). That said, FH2 is doing much more than the little DC racer, so it makes sense. If they dumped all the features, physics and open world of FH2, they would have painted it to be prettier like DC.

Where are you seeing these 'superior' physics that FH2 has? In your head? Because judging by the footage so far it looks vastly toned down from the original.
