The description mentioned that the track is called Nakasendō (中山道).
Interestingly, Nakasendō (also known as the Kisokaidō | 木曾街道) was one of five of Japan's routes during the Edo period and is one of two connecting Edo (a.k.a Tokyo) to Kyoto, with about 69 stations between the two cities crossing through the provinces of Kōzuke, Shinano, Mino and Ōmi.
This route also runs approx. 332 mi | 534 km through Saitama, Gunma, Nagano, Gifu and Shiga Prefectures.
Nakasendō actually translates to "central mountain route" so expect a very in-land mountain track running past a few small, possibly traditional towns. Now we just wait to see which prefecture Evolution Studios chose to base their version of the Nakasendō.
