As a matter of interest, the Maplewood circuit looks to be close to Vancouver. Are there any DC players from around there who might be able to confirm this.

How are you guys managing to play I can't even sign in :ouch:
Offline, you can still get onto the game okay, you just won't be earning for your club or be able to do/create any challenges...or like me, you could spend time with photomode

So, I finally got to play Driveclub after months of waiting...and I really like the game. Unlike some people, the handling is very enjoyable in my eyes considering the type of game it is. The cars strike a nice balance in the semi-sim region by not being too floaty whilst letting you throw the cars around when you suss out how to put the cars to the test.

Offline I find a bit of a chore, this was my first time spent with Driveclub and I just didn't feel that excited by the oddly behaving A.I. or the kind of 'generic' nature of the events(pre-weather patch). It's online where Driveclub is at it's best for me personally, especially when in a full lobby with weather on 'high' setting. Even though, like every racing game, there's rammers, for the most part I've actually had really fun nail-biting, pedal-to-the-metal racing from start to finish. Racing with a few people in a club, talking over party chat about players to watch out for and face-off strategy is very interesting and keeps your eyes on the action, not going to lie, online I couldn't care less about the lovely environments because I'm so focused on the action in front of me.

I didn't expect Driveclub to be a world-beater by any means, all I wanted was a solid PS4 racer for me to play and it goes leaps and bounds over being 'just' that. Compared to the paltry offerings from other developers, Evolution have created a game for those who just want to race, and I struggle to see why that's a bad thing. Aside from the jaw-dropping weather there is nothing to write home about, but there doesn't need to be...there's a very good game here and I can see myself playing it for a good while.

Kudos, Evolution.

anybody know if there's any way in MP to pick lobbies with longer races? it's annoying to get in a good 2-3/way battle for position and the race is over in 5 laps or sometimes even less, would be nice if there were MP races available of 10-20 laps and the possibility to filter lobbies to get in those!

The only way at present is to create a race in arcade of up to 25 laps (it goes: 1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 10; 25) and hope that someone sends a few back to you. A friend does this regularly for me, varying the number of AI opponents too.

I know that's not the same as live opponents, but people have been vocal about getting an option to set their own lobbies up - so, who knows - maybe that'll happen.

I currently don't own a PS4 but it really seems from what I have seen and read that DRIVECLUB is a beautiful and stunning games which well have features added in the near future.

Everytime I see the pictures I am simply amazed by how beautiful it looks. There also seems a lot a variety within the tracks and landscapes.

This game seems to lend itself perfectly for creating or re-creating those Top Gear Road Trips! If replay mode will be added you can do some really great stuff.

Finished tour mode without going back to any events after completion and I've finished with 324 stars. . So close!

The thing I was concerned might happen, was that Japan might get a few city circuits. I say that not just because that sort of racing seems pretty popular there, but also due to this being the first official mention of Japan as a location outside of an inadvertent leak. That and the fact that only five location were ever mentioned in the dev-talks before launch, led me to think that perhaps Japan, if it was going to appear, might be something less than a full location.

That picture on FB and Twitter though, really does give the impression of P2P on country roads, so I think we might well get a full complement, just like with the other locations.

All guess-work on my part, of course.

Considering we have received 5 out of 11 promised tracks, right? They probably went to Japan during the development of DC, but didn't have time to finish the content before release.

I think the remaining promised tracks will be from Japan and we'll receive 2 P2P, 2 circuits and 2 race circuits. Maybe one less P2P and one more of circuit or race circuit. It would be a waste to travel on-location, research and create all the necessary artwork and then only make one of each.

HOW DO YOU PEOPLE GET TO LVL 35+???? I just don't have the patience apparently.
What's so special about level 35?

A way to get there enjoyably, is to check your profile and go to Progression and Stats. Under that you'll see Driver Accolades. Inside there you'll see how far under each section you need to race, drive, drift or whatever to get a level-up bonus. Usually the car brand one will net you a good amount of XP.

Also, challenges pay out quite nicely as long as you don't get frustrated by all of those fast people out there. Imay be wrong, but I think challenges pay more than online does. Looking at my stats page right now, level 50 is just over 14.5 million XP but my actual XP total is 22.75 million and I only run a few challenges a day (mind you, the current top person has almost 800 million XP...)

wth is going on, I had time to play today and it looks like I'm connected to servers but everything acts like I'm not part of any club even though I'm club owner of one 47 lvl. club. I can browse clubs and find mine where I'm listed as member and owner.

I m on the other end, I would have loved to see DC going to town (pun intended) with some city tracks. Imagine a city like Tokyo with all the neon lights and spectacular architecture in full gorgeous DC glory.

The other logical choice for Japan would of course be Touge like p2p and it seems thats what they went with. No problem with that from my side at all. DC2 better have some city tracks, though... :D

Oh, I wouldn't mind any city circuits at all - it was just my guess when Japan as an extra location got pointed out. They worked well in the original Racedriver: Grid and WRC3 had some fine city P2P and circuit tracks for Japan as DLC. Togue is also good. I remember DiRT had some damn good tracks up in the mountains too and I'd be happy with something like that.
Wow. How long has that taken you?
Since launch, so three months of playing a couple of hours, a few times a week. The 800 million one though, he definitely needs to step outside for a break...

You are on your main account, I take it ;) Are you simply not seeing your club at the top of the page, or is it not letting you interact with the club page? Any chance of a screen capture?
