You know what would be great? If you had the basic knowledge that not everything can be perfect, and that basic errors can cause this kind of thing very easily. I have zero tolerance for people like you.

Something as basic as a game recognizing the licenses required for any given content is not complicated. In fact is't standard in the game industry as it is today. Now I won't pretend to know whether the blame lies on Sony, or on Evolution Studios, but in any case, messing up something that is this simple and commonplace, is unacceptable.

I can't ask you to raise your standard, but I would ask you to not expect others to lower theirs to your level.

I'm sorry, but you had that coming. I totally agree with you, I just had to say that.

Sorry, racism is unacceptable; a temporary software glitch on the PS Store is just annoying.

Yes, I understand that you'd like you cars but as was posted a few posts above yours, a tweet went out from ES saying that Sony is looking into it. It's not like they went out of their way to muck things up. In an ever more complex world of interconnectivity, it surprises me that half the stuff actually does what it was designed for. It's usually the hard work of a few that keep the whole lot going, so take a breath, drink a drink, do something else until they have fixed it.

For your convenience: @GTAndy36 @Gilly_SB @LewisMcLoughlin @pupazzovtec The Apex d/l issue Will be resolved by the PS Store team ASAP: https://twitter.com/DRIVECLUB/status/560410583951212544…

It's defiantly no 'unacceptable' but I can definitely see how it could be frustrating. Wether or not he should have made that rather grouchy comment before is, he probably shouldn't have. In fact if he had just said 'well that's annoying or something no one would have batted an eyelid. But no.

A perfect example of consumers not demanding enough. I have every right to be crossed that I can't access content that I've paid for. This problem is seemingly related to PSN, and has affected other games since the release of the PS4. In other words, it's not looking like something that is being fixed. Writing it off as "annoying" when it's literally accepting the consumers money without giving him/her what he/her has paid for, is absurd.

Whoever is in charge of making sure this works, is getting paid to do so. So yes, it is unacceptable when it doesn't work. Bringing in bigger, real world problems is a great way to show you have no arguements that are relevant to the discussion. It's akin to posting the First World Problems meme.

Ok NOW I disagree with you. But oh well.

Let me put it another way.

Is it acceptable for a company to accept payment for an item/service, and then not hold up their own end of the deal?
The answer to that is obviously no. Unacceptable is literally the most accurate description of what is going on here.
No one is screaming for people to get fired, or to never support Evolution Studios or Sony ever again. But that does not excuse them for accepting money for content that then isn't given to the consumer (in some cases).

If it was done purposefully, or with no guarantee that you will get your item, then no, it's not acceptable. Try looking at it this way. Think of it as if you ordered an item from amazon, and when the arrival date comes the item is still missing, and it turns out the item got slightly lost in the post, but is still on its way. It wouldn't be unacceptable if that happened. It would be annoying, but not the end of the world.

You're comparing a delay to a game that fails to recognize your purchase. Two very different things.
Nothing has been delayed. And no one is screaming end of the world. People afflicted by this problem, including myself, are rightfully upset that we don't have access to content that we've paid for. This is not something that can be subject to poor weather conditions, or delays in transportation.

And there is no guarantee that this will be fixed. Based on reading online, this doesn't seem to afflict the majority, and thus it's easy for it to slip on the under. It's entirely possible that it won't be fixed, and going by how the games industry is handling consumers in general now a days, it's even likely it won't be fixed.

See, this is what happens when people give up on the most basic of consumers rights. Once they have yur money, they won't necessarily put in all the effort that should be required of them. I'm not at all saying that this image fits Evolution Studios, but it's entirely possible that this problem will remain a problem. Even more so if the ball is in Sony's courtyard, as they seem to be preoccupied with other things.

It's not necessarily done out of neglect, but could simply be a result of not enough people being afflicted. Generally speaking, I think both Evolution Studios and Sony are fairly consumer minded, but that doesn't mean they'll fix every problem.

Driveclub team just tweeted saying it's an issue with the UK and they are fixing it now.

Unacceptable is a word that can be used, true, though I feel it is too often used in a catch-all kind of way, ergo: not necessarily correct in this instance.

Sure, you can state indignation at this or that, as is your given right, but that just reflects what kind of consumer you are, not really the validity of you claim. Sorry, I have worked in the customer relations field for a good number of years - acting as interface between customers and various companies, some of them very high profile. I can no longer do that kind of work due to the abuse that gets hurled down the phone-lines by apparently aggrieved customers who go straight to DEFCON 1 if something isn't going their way. They hurl words and clichés around and are the nub of the over-entitled crowd and often aren't interested in explanations or answers that don't include a full refund and a nice gesture for the 'grief'.

Now, I'm not saying you are that kind of person, I am saying that using a word like 'unacceptable' is out of context because such absolute words shouldn't be thrown around so lightly - there are other words that, as @Chameleon9000 said, wouldn't have caused anyone to bat an eyelid. First know what the problem is, why it's happening and then take action; that should be the reasonable route of action, not going straight for unacceptable with an issue that has been recognised, and is now being fixed. Now that is a first world problem.

I also have heard nothing of this kind of issue before. Dying Light's digital release has a problem from both Sony and MS but I don't think that's related. My point being, it can't be that big an issue if very little has been heard on it in the past fifteen months. I'd be happy to look at any links you care to share though.

It's definitely not only UK. I still can't access it.
I couldn't find it in the store, but found the Icona in my garage and unlocked it from there.
Sony are still working on the technical problem apparently - it's affecting the car pack only...well, and the Apex tour too as you need the cars to drive it ;)

The Sakura tour is working just fine, as is the free car.

It's been something like a few hours...patience and you will be rewarded.

They confirmed they had issues over 6 hours ago. That's more than 'a few hours', in my opinion.

The way PlayStation Store is updated feels like ancient technology.

Three, six...sorry, I wasn't paying attention - anyway, I'm not going there (see my last post above yours) but instead I'm off for a beer or three...or will it be six? ;)

When replays and private lobbies eventually arrive, it'll be heaven for the photographers here who want to set up shoots with others. I for one look forward to it.
One of the little messages/helpful hint things from Evolution in the game said something about replays at the end of races, but I only caught a glimpse of it before it went again. I meant to mention it earlier and I also forgot to check at the end of every race.

The European PS Store team also made a blog post stating that the livery packs will be free while they were £0.79.

I don't think it's Evolution's fault, I just think someone should get fired from the PS Store EU Team because they can't do their job, mistake after mistake, The PS store team in America is so much more reliable.

So the livery packs are messed up for the apex pack too?

Seriously now, those idiots working on EU PSN store shouldn't be allowed to even get near a computer.
Please Sony, fire those guys and put them in a gold mine or something, at least they would be useful.
I'm sorry but this is beyond belief.
