I decided to set up a long challenge today, twenty-five laps at Takahagi Hills in hot-hatches. Trouble is, it looks like this confirmes that the new update has made the AI less competitive, which is a shame. I was three seconds ahead in a Mini by the end of lap one and over a minute by the race's completion (I was being less than optimal due to tackling face-offs.)

That is a shame, as I enjoyed having them battle me throughout an entire race - I didn't see any of them again after the first lap. I think if I had concentrated and not been tempted by the face-offs, I might well have lapped them.

I have obviously not done any scientific tests, but it feels like the AI is a lot slower on Legend.

I did some testing of my own earlier (Before Top Gear) and @Centura is right, the Legend AI is heaps slower. However it also depends on what cars you're matched up against from what I've seen.

I used 2 cars and did some duel events on Legend and Pro difficulty on the new Japan tracks. The KTM XBow and the F12. In some instances, when I was using the KTM I'd get matched up against the BAC Mono and next thing I know I'd get left behind..... Badly... However against some other cars in the KTM's class, I'd have some kinda close matches (2-3 seconds apart, pace changes towards the end of the race) and some I'd leave behind in the dust.

In the F12 I'd leave everything in the dust. Weird.

I have noticed that the AI is less aggressive and not so willing to make contact after this new update. However it doesn't seem to challenge me or make decisions to pass me when it has the opportunity. Before the update the AI a few times would just gun it past me and try to maintain position. I think it was nerfed a bit.

Press circle to pull your handbrake. Although the drifting in this game is more 'controlled power-sliding' than it is drifting. TCS is still enabled by default and can't be turned off. Shifting down mid-drift will help to continue your drift.

They should be out tomorrow or on wednesday. Europe got them on a wednesday last time, as far as I can remember.

yeah, like Oelix says, from tomorrow until the 29th. It's not really determined by a specific date every month, but by the date each regional PS Store updates, so in your case it'll likely be the closest Tuesday to the 26th of every month.

An archaic system really as it means all releases of games and DLC are staggered.

It wouldn't make too much of a difference to me, the in-game graphical fidelity is decent enough IMO. What I'm concerned about are the replay cameras. I hope that it will have TV-broadcast style cameras, and not just hovering all around the player's car.

I can't find any specific confirmation except 27-29 January, but I think the order is USA/EU/UK.

I'm not sure where you're seeing replays in that - the only new feature is just the online TT which went live week before last with the update.

I meant the last video they posted (the one with the DLC).

Ahh...I see what you mean now. Perhaps it is and they're being sneaky about it - I doubt that the replays will hit before next month though, as lovely an idea as that is.

The new packs is out now. I do not have enough money for the apex expansion but the new Japanese vehicle is free so I downloaded it and it is a fun car to drive but you need to watch the amount of throttle you equipped in to that car.

Yeah, the guys at Evo said on FB that it's a bit of a torque monster so you'll need to be careful, especially in the rain.

Hi just download the Apex expansion pack and the new Tour modes are available but none of the new cars are it's still tell me to purchase them when I already have. Any suggestions.

Got the season pass, but regardless of having downloaded all the packs, the APEX cars remain locked for me. I restored licenses, and that made my Ignition livery pack work (wuuhuu), but the cars remain unusable. I have zero patience for BS like this.

You know what would be great? If you had the basic knowledge that not everything can be perfect, and that basic errors can cause this kind of thing very easily. I have zero tolerance for people like you.
