DTM - Assigned car league - Sundays 8pm GMT

Sorry guys but I don´t like the DTM´s anymore. In addition it´s too fast for me. I like to stick to slower cars know. Plus I despise SRF but I tested without and your nowhere near to be competitive without it.
Nothing against you guys you are great Racers and the few races I did where fun.
But above weighs to big for me.

Thats a real pitty Sakery. You are fast and we had some good races.

@ Homes - What would the car options for a GT300 series be?

Mmm, I think this is most of them...

Standard Cars
S Autobacs ARTA Garaiya (JGTC) ‘03
S Nissan C-WEST RAZO SILVIA (JGTC) ‘01
S RE Amemiya AMEMIYA ASPARADRINK RX7 (JGTC) ‘04
S Subaru CUSCO SUBARU ADVAN IMPREZA (JGTC) ‘03
S Toyota SUPERAUTOBACS APEX MR-S (JGTC) ‘00
S Toyota WEDSSPORT CELICA (JGTC) ‘03

Premium cars
P Autobacs ARTA Garaiya (SUPER GT) ‘08
P Lexus Weds Sport IS350 (SUPER GT) ‘08
P RE Amemiya Amemiya AsparaDrink RX7 (SUPER GT) ‘06
P Subaru CUSCO DUNLOP SUBARU IMPREZA (SUPER GT) ‘08

@Sakery - That is a pity. You are an awesome fair racer!

I will let you know if/whem we decide to do a slower series ;)

What about in the next series. More laps and only allow soft tyres so everybody has to stop more than once. Throw in changing weather then guys are diving into the pits to change to wets as well. Just a few ideas.

the only trouble with wets races are you have to soften up everything and take of most of the camber and its very hard to get right
@homes im up for it

Ok see u sakery been good noing u :). Petrol i agree 100% on ONLY SOFTS, And i really dont mind changing weather in facr i approve of it We need to begin knuckling down on testing both GT500 n GT300 cars

I think that Lexus was a part of a Korean touring car series. I could be wrong. Personally I think we should do a two class series. I'm a little troubled with the thought of setting up two cars for one race day. It's going to take 4 hours if we qualify and race two races. Whatever is decided I'll be cool with. My two cents for the series would be:

-The cars run their real life horsepower (No more than 500 and 300)

-Motegi be included. Not the GT Academy one, the one where the start/finish is on the front straight.

-Multi class. Two drivers per car/team. This will eliminate having 18 Garaiya's on track. This, combined with damage could create some interesting finishing orders.

-And I will always vote for full damage, no penalties, and SFR off. SFR being on I guarantee makes new people not want to join. Skid force recovery is not a real thing, its a made up thing for a videogame. Traction control is real therefore I'm totally cool with it.

I know you guys wont go for the damage deal but that is the ultimate penalty. These timed penalties for contact and short cuts are kind of ridiculous. We review the replay so short cutting corner can be penalized post race with a time penalty. Full damage could teach everyone that you really can't make that much contact without it hurting your own race, let alone someone else's. It does cause controversy though, which is great.

I agree sassa, i was sceptical bout damage but whn u put it tht way it looks good, but i doubt homes will put it on 4 the reasons everyone knows. I can Help u set up the cars as always im happy to help :) just give me a buzz on PSN, same applys for every1 if u need help u can ask, SRF i really dont mind having it off, only problem is tires dont last but i guess tht means more pit stops which will be interesting :D And inexperienced drivers may struggle without it. However i dont think we should run same hp cos we need to do the classes for everyone to make it fun and fair. DEFINTLY Twin Ring Motegi. (comes out 27th i think) And multi class or manufacture teams r a defiant YES. AND PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK NURBURGRING THE ULTIMATE RACE TRACK :D

An idea to break up quali is do them on Saterday mabye, thn record results and line up on track on race day

IS EVERYONE AVALIBLE TO DO A BIG PRACTICE SESSION FOR THIS SOON?? :)

(BTW i didnt double post) :D

No double post, yeah! I'm available for testing for sure. Just tell me what to do.

I was one of those inexperienced driver before. We all were. I was in 3 seasons of DTM with no driver aids at all. I got lapped so many times and finished last every single time. But I finished every race. And learned how to keep the ass end of that car under me, eventually. Lol. That's really the problem is people get frustrated and quit instead of staying and learning something. Getting a wheel helped out a lot as well. Finally some throttle control!

Wow...two cars in one night. Dont know if I am a fan of that. GT300 sounds like fun. Stagger the PP limit like we do now.

Regarding: SRF / Damage / etc. we gotta ask why we have it. And the answer is simple, we want to create good clean fair racing. Everyone"s ability is different, as we now see with the Cars and PP restrictions'in DTM.

The idea is to race close, now with certain aids off, it may create more bumping and potentially ruin a good race, if someone cant handle the pace without SRF on, he may get sideways, a little out of control in between other drivers. The result will be a wrecked race that could have been a classic.

SRF sure does add an artificial feel, but its race quality we after. Theres nothing better than doing a full race, close and competitive with other racers.

Just my opinion.

I really enjoy the one make racing, I know some of you may think its a little boring, but I just the enjoy the door to door action stuff.

I'm still down for this,

Couldn't make Sunday because of England, also in the process of moving house but that's nearly finished so once that's down I should be available for the practice and race sessions.

Looking forward to it :)

You see i also agree with driver as well... confusing lol. Whatever pops up im 100% hqppy with, im just grateful to be in the championship. Lucky i met u homes on Trial Mountain In the 1 make calsonic GTRs :D

Damn im sorry but i forgot to say something so heres another double post :D mabye we should stick to just GT300 or just GT500 cos it may be a hand full to set up two different cars... (not for me though, just change aero and keep same set up throughout lol)In fact if we do just run GT300 we can have SRF off cos they have low HP

I would vote for just GT500.

As far as the series make up is concerned I agree with Sassa, I think most of us have raced with each other for a while so we know how each other races and we know who is going to win etc.

So I say lets mix up the regulations. Lets run with no SRF, no
ASM and run with damage on.
I say lets make the series as real as possible. We have been running with the same regulations for a while now and think we must mix it up to keep it exciting. It will definitely be a new challenge for some.

Who knows, maybe the weaker guys like me can stand a chance of wining a race or two that way.:sly::sly::sly:

How about we just do one thing at a time. Like just damage. Or just SFR off. The SFR does create close racing. So maybe cut penalties and add damage.

Maybe penalties on for qualifying, so no advantage gained from corner cutting. Then penalties off and damage on for the race. Nice call Sass

heres my 12.81p worth (2cents) or large figure in rand
i know many of you are worried about seting up two cars
well i have some news for you the gt300 handle really nicely out of box ive gone to sevral tracks to test them and they are amazingly stable even on hards with more power this means that you could probably get a way with changing the camber and making the front more responsive. because prehaps we could run gt300 with no srf
however it works well we could try it in gt500s but i think that wouldnt work as they're not as stable

Sounds like a good idea Sassa. Personally I think the guys that are not featuring or are struggling with SFR on, will struggle even more with it off. We have messed about with it off and all it does is spread the field out more and cause more incidents. It also makes setup even more important. Either way I'm easy, I like doing setup work, but for guys who don't have much time and guys who already struggle with tire wear, having SFR off will just compound your problems ;)
I agree with Driver, penalties on for qualifying and damage on for the race :)
Hopefully I'll be back soon :)

We should do a same car GT300 and a same car GT500 Honda NSX 2006 cup ( there are a few options to choose from)
I'll get a chance to use my baby again :)

Naa no same car, i want to see differnt cars battlibg it out lol (now im not the 1 double posting lol)

have you not read my post I did a test for a while with zuat and set-up wise it requires very little and you should still have a pre setup car from the gt500 leauge so your setting up one car and thoose that didnt compete we can help them setup using our already setup gt500 cars

Of course your post was read Will. The problem is every track is different and requires setup tweaks. You gotta understand that just because it required little setup for you doesn't mean that will be the case for everyone. Also not all of us were in your guys GT500 league. Some weeks I barely have time to setup one car let alone two.

I do love the qualifying idea. But not the same car idea. I think it would get very boring. I really like the idea of running GT500 and GT300 at the same time. We really just need to work on getting a base PP for these cars so they are within a second of each other.

Was doing some secret testing last night and did a 1:17.921. I think thsts quite rapid lol homes was suprised lol

Just did a 1:17.856 now. And my tires do last 8 laps so thats good :)

(sorry double post, but it was at different times of day :D

Damn, I can't make it today! All my practice for nothing...

Wifes family event is going to run way longer than expected.

Sorry guys. I will ask Driver to host again... :(

I also will not be racing today, won't be back until gone midnight tonight.

As for the next series, I'm up for anything as long as the cars cars are fairly distributed (unlike the current series).
