DTM - Assigned car league - Sundays 8pm GMT

I wont be making the testing session this weekend as I'll be out of the country for my birthday...

Homes, when do you think the league will start? I dont want to miss the start of the season....
 
@zuat - If you can test on sunday we can see how you go in the M3 or R8?

@Oneman - Don't worry it's just testing this weekend and if we find a really good formula this weekend we can start the following week... Happy Birthday BTW 👍
 
Im ready foe testing on Sunday. Saturday as well if possible. Maybe a little tiger woods? Lol.

Zuat and greest need to qualify don't they? Homes too? It wouldn't be hard to hold a quick session for that.

So whats the story here, we practicing this weekend? Am I allowed to use either the M3 or the Audi R8? What PP can I use? What "speed" group have you assigned me to? I would prefer to use either the M3 or the R8, but will drive anything that is competitive. I think that the M3 with additional PP will be a beast in anybodys hands. Its funny that i understand afrikaans. Im dutch speaking ( belgian/flemisch) and we say : ik zie jullie mannen online vanavond......:-)

For that you need
Windows 95 or earlier
Ridicoulsy low resolution
Low ram and a small amount memory
And finally a dial up connection

For todays testing/practice, I would like to get everybody to use the following cars as a starting point if possible:

Audi A4 or TT - 595pp
Canu
Driver
Captain
Scale

Astra - 610pp
Willfred
Sassa
Homes
Rich

CLK - 620pp
Petrol
Greest
Rikkos
Zuat

We will run 3 or 4 events with a 10 to 15 minute qualy (depending on track), followed by a short race of 10 minutes (ish)...

Between qualy and race, please don't exit because I will take photos of everyones sector/lap times.

Then I will compile a spreadsheet of lap times from which I will work out averages to derive your groups and the pp limits for each group.
 
Wow the racing was intense last night. My apologies to anyone I may have bumped, I just got home from a braai and was rather drunk. I know I know...... it's irresponsible to drink and drive, but I promise to pull myself together when the championship starts lol.
 
Hi guys :) yer great practice last night, had fun. Does anyone know how to put pictures from GT onto the forum, if it doesnt work, then check out the photos on GT. (click on my name, go to photo icon)
 
export pictures on to ps3
take the off with a usb stick
upload to computer
put on flickr or photo bucket copp the bb code to the text box
easy as 3.142

In the text box there is a add picture button click that now copy the bb code for a small photo (500x600) something like that as it doesnt affect page load up too much then paste the code into the brackets
 
I have been looking at the lap times and the races from last week and it is quite difficult to get a clear picture, so this sunday can we please have a final test session and please try to do all 3 events and please stick with the same car...

I've checked my garage and I have all the listed cars. So I can drive whatever you ask me to.

Yes, you can still join! We are doing our final test session tomorrow (sunday, 6th may) at 8pm gmt. Start with the Astra at 610pp and see how it goes.

Hope you can make it tomorrow.

@Ally - Can you use the Astra too please?
 
Hi guys, good practice last last night. not as good as last week though i thought. shall i drop down to 590pp because i won all three races last night and won a few last week as well? my race pace seems better than my quali pace. most of the time i was 7tenths off in quali, but then kept pulling away in the race a bit.
 
mmmm.....I just need more time to set up my car, that A4 is has terrible understeer for me so I need to sort that out, I also havent even tried the TT properly yet, maybe thats better.

Are these the cars that we are using....TT or A4?

Canu will be on the pace as well, I am sure.

For some or other reason the TT seems faster than the A4 in race setup. I haven't put too much time into it, been to busy with other things lately. But I got a great setup for my A4, did like 40000 laps around Autumn ring lol...... and the first lap I did in the TT was faster straight away? So I don't know if it's a track thing or a driver style thing, but I'm so rusty I probably couldn't tell the difference anyways lol.
 
I hate the Astra. Goes from bonkers understeer to white-knuckle inducing oversteer. It also hates its front tires...
I need a set-up that will make it last...mmmm
